Very clean and comfortable. Setting was serene and in nature. 3 places to comfortablely sit outdoors. Easy to walk to town. Laundry very niceNeed new pillows but bed’s very comfortable.More steps than I expected. Getting onto the front porch required help from partner. Bottom of stairway to upstairs there was step down on both sides to rest of downstairs . Not impossible but orthopedic challenges for me. Communication fabulous. Lovely place to stay.

Nice little nook tucked away on a dead end street

Pleasant place to stay when you visit the Vineyard. Nice and quiet. The place has a upstairs deck and porch downstairs. There is a sliding glass door off the eating area to read and soak up some sun. David was a pleasant host and informative and inviting. I I’ll stay again when I visit.

Great Guest House

This is a well-built place to stay in Vineyard Haven - easy to walk from the ferry and in a quiet neighborhood. It was a comfortable base for us to explore for a few days. The layout of the place is a little unusual (as described in the listing) in that the living space is upstairs with the primary bed, but it worked fine. We also enjoyed both small porches for eating outside.

Great stay

Perfect location for a week long stay in the Vineyard. Very clean, comfortable and accommodated our needs, especially after long days of sight seeing. I would definitely stay again!

Worked out just right for us.

The host was very accommodating. After our busy days of touring around the island, it was nice to come back to a comfortable and safe house in a quiet neighborhood.

Peaceful get away

This rental was amazing. Located on dead end street and it’s super peaceful and beautiful. Enjoyed listening to the sounds of nature around us and David was really easy talking to as well as flexible with check in time and check out time. It was beautiful inside and out. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone I know. Thanks David!

Stayed here to cut down on cost of ferry

Several of us from the mainland were working on a project that required us to be on-site with the customer for two weeks. Renting a house was less expensive than renting several hotel rooms on an island. I gave us everything that we needed.

Vineyard Haven Bungalow

Well maintained property, owners house about 20 feet away. Clean and convenient to town. Kitchen could be better equipped and bedding situation was poor. The beds are hard and too firm and the only pillows are old and flat, could use an upgrade. The outdoor shower was great and the bathroom could use better lighting, it was hard putting on make-up and shaving. Overall a pretty good place to stay.

Family vacation .. perfect location !

Our family enjoyed our time in this lovely rental in Vineyard Haven which was a convenient location , walking distance to stores, biking distance to the Black Dog cafe and much more. Our host was very accommodating and helpful . The rental was very clean and perfect for a family of 4. We hope to return again and be able to stay here to build more family memories at Martha’s Vineyard .

Roomy and Quiet cabin

Great quiet neighborhood with 2 decks on ground level and another on the second floor that looks out to a beautiful tree! Off-street parking and private setting make for a peaceful getaway.

Great location and house!

Great spot to stay, especially if you like some peace and quiet. It's close enough to all parts of the island but far enough away to get some space and quiet. David met us there and was available with any questions or needs. Enjoyed our weekend!

We were there for a long weekend and really only used the guest house for breakfast and going to be at night. Perfect place to get up and go.

Just Right!

Wonderful long weekend!

We stayed at David’s house for a wonderful long weekend in September. He was a fantastic host and the house was perfect for us and our two young sons (ages 4 and 7). The house is well stocked with amenities, conveniently located to Vineyard Haven, easy to get to other island destinations from it, and overall a comfortable home away from home. This was our first trip to the Vineyard but we definitely look forward to coming back!

Vineyard Haven Retreat

What a surprising find! Located on a quiet cul de sac but within walking or biking distance to downtown Vineyard Haven, this guest house provided everything I needed for my week’s stay. It was the perfect size for me and my 2 guests. The air conditioning was a plus for the hot, humid days. No need to bring linens or towels, cleaning supplies, etc. either, a definite plus when traveling via ferry. Loved the outdoor shower and sitting on the front deck enjoying the solitude after exploring the island. I had my car and am glad I brought it over as it gave me the opportunity to experience Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Gay Head, etc. David, the owner, was the perfect host and was easily accessible. The only slight negative was that the main living room with couches and TV was upstairs but was easy getting used to. The seating downstairs was the dining table with 4 chairs and a small chair in the corner. The 2 decks provided plenty of seating outside. My guests and I loved this guest house and hope to come again!

Perfect beach cottage, wonderful host!

We loved this cottage (family of four, two children ages 5 and 7) and would consider returning annually! It’s very nicely located, very clean and comfortable with everything you need, and the host is responsive and helpful. We have had some bad experiences with choosing properties online - not this time! This one is actually better in person than on its listing.

Clean, tidy, and very convenient little house, very short and easy walk into Vineyard Haven.

David is a very helpful and accessible host, and made check-in and check-out very easy and convenient. The house is just as pictured, with a good-sized kids’ bedroom downstairs and a small eating area off the kitchen. Upstairs, the wide-open bedroom also has the living-room area in it, which makes for comfortable sitting and relaxing after the kids are in bed. The air-conditioning units cooled the place down quickly after hot days, and sleeping was quite comfortable. The upstairs mattress was really great; I have back problems and travel in fear, and this mattress was firm, making for a pain-free week away. The kitchen has the basics you need, including pots, pans, and cooking implements. It also had salt and pepper, but be aware that you should bring or buy any other staples you think you’ll need. It was an easy walk to Vineyard Haven’s Main Street, even with young kids. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I’d definitely recommend this house.

Great Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful get away to the Guest House. The house was clean, well appointed and comfortable - perfect for a vacation. The decks were a perfect way to enjoy the weather and the quiet residential location and the outdoor shower is a favorite way for our family to really feel like were on beach vacation! Town is easily walk able (even with young kids) and all the towns on the island have something different to offer. We very much enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little R and R.

It was dream after vacationing here many years and admiring the guest house owners I stayed with to finally acquire my own guest house to rent to great people looking for a wonderful vacation on this spectacular island paradise.

Vineyard Haven is one of the 3 main towns on the island and brings a combination of the classy style of Edgartown with the hustle and bustle of Oak Bluffs. My guest house is uniquely located on a quiet dead end street for peace and tranquility, yet a short walk to the great downtown harbor (ferry included), shops, restaurants and even a small harbor beach (Owen Park). It is not far from the bike paths to take you to Oak Bluffs and/or Edgartown and a short drive to the most popular beaches - South Beach, State Beach, Long Point Beach

My guest house is a fabulous place to stay with kids with its unique layout of the adults having the full upstairs suite for sitting at the desk nook, watching tv from the bed or the expansive couches and chairs or sitting outside on the second floor deck enjoying the night air and reading a great book! It also accommodates two couples nicely with one sleeping upstairs and one downstairs. This property is a new summer rental which was recently acquired and renovated. It has new air conditioning systems, new flooring throughout (hardwoods downstairs and carpet upstairs), new ceiling fans throughout, new sliders to both the upstairs and downstairs decks, new siding and roofing. The property is within walking distance to EVERYTHING, including a small less crowded harbor view beach (Owen Park). It is on a dead end street with an abundance of quiet and tranquility but so close to downtown Vineyard Haven and the hustle and bustle of the harbor, shops, and restaurants. I welcome you and will try to provide whatever I can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable!
