Bi-annual Family Trip

The location of the home is great. The 51 steps from the beach is daunting when returning with beach gear. The home is in need of repairs. Torn cushions for example. But the number of guestrooms and baths were ideal. Site says it has everything you need for a TG dinner, not true. Reps were responsive to needs. No central ac was a problem on 80+ degrees days. Overall a decent house given the location. meal. Not true. Reps eere

Family getaway

The house was beautiful. A little short on silverware and cutting boards were dirty but they immediately sent us new fresh replacements and the house was otherwise immaculate.

Great Stay

We throughly enjoyed our time at this property. Being able to walk to great food and shops is a major plus. We had great communication with the property management company, and they made sure everything went well for us. Being on right on the beach added to the reason we picked this property. We hope to be back in the future.

Perfect Location

We stayed here for a work trip and it was the perfect location and perfect space. Tons of room for everyone and each bedroom having their own bathroom was ideal. Communication was timely with the hosts and we never had an issue the entire stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Location above all else

We’ve stayed at this property 2 times in the last 3 years. Since the main reason we stay in Carlsbad is for the beach access and access to local dining and rail to San Diego, this property meets all of those requirements hands down. Being able to listen to the waves hit the beach while drifting off to sleep is a huge plus. There are some downsides, though most of that has to do with age of the property and the infrastructure around that. The salt air has permeated most of the surfaces in the property, so there is a continuous musty smell. The sewer lines are probably a bit on the older side and occasionally when all the units are occupied (there are 2 units in this property, plus possibly an adjacent one) things may not necessarily drain well. There was an ant infestation while we were there. It was apparent it was there before we arrived because there were traps set in some of the rooms. It is a rental, so there’s evidence of use, obviously. But this time it appeared the cleaning wasn’t quite as thorough as it was in the past. There was still obviously dirty floors as well as mirrors that needed attention. But the reality is if the main reason you are staying there is beach access, restaurant access and rail access, this place is perfect.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this condo around 5 times. Liked ie btter before renovations.Also it is begging to look a bit worn and not maintained as well as in the past.Screens in living area are bent. Not as clean as in the past. Garage door on north was would not operate properly. It is still a great location but we may be looking at other properties. Wished you would have not removed daybed from living room.

Reviewer Comments: We were provided with the wrong door code and we walked into a wrong unit while searching for the unit. Our family of 15 people had to wait to get the correct code to enter the unit. Legs of two dining room chairs were not set properly and two family members (80 years of age) fell down to the floor when sitting on the chair.. Fortunately, there were no broken bones. Ants were present in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedroom. They were present in the ear of one family member in the night.

A Piece of Heaven for a Week, with Family

Reviewer Comments: Extraordinary, in every way.....our entire family comes together for one week at the beach, which we have been doing with Beachfront since 2006,minus the COVID year of 2020. We loved the huge living space, where we could all join together. We had a "prom" party our second night there, honoring our two grandchildren who graduated this year, without proms. We did get two noise complaints, since we thought the noise ordinance was like Oceanside, where we had always stayed...10 pm. We did quiet and the rest of the week we ate dinners together in that huge living space, and celebrated everyone's birthday one evening. Everyone loved having their own bathroom and sleeping apace....we have a great grandchild who is 1 and the oldest is my husband, who is nearly 79. The gazebo area was heavenly for everyone returning from the beach, to hose off, and get warm. It was an easy trek from there, where we kept all of our beach paraphernalia, to set up our area on the beach for the day. The waves were increasingly larger throughout the week, with the biggest waves, and the warmest water on the last day. Your service is stellar, which is why I am determined to return to one of your properties each year. Starting on day 1 I was on the phone getting all the codes worked out for the front door, the garage and the gazebo gate, which you so lovingly helped me with. Whenever I called, which seemed like a daily occurrence, you lovingly and kindly handled every thing, even bringing me some kitchen scissors. We are all excitedly awaiting our 2022 visit to 702 North Strand in Oceanside. We are sorry to leave this beautiful home, but the 10,000 increase in one year was too hefty for us. Thanks each and every one of you, in the office, in housekeeping, in maintenance for having our stay be absolutely heavenly. And thanks for cleaning the hot tub during the week....what a treat to have a nice clean hot tub for the last two days. Love you all and may you all be richly blessed.

Wonderful Vacation Home BUT Not Child Safe

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in an excellent location and was enjoyed by our eleven family family members (six adults and five children). Hoewever, having a family with young children (ages one through seven) posed serious challenges. There were numerous windows on the third and fourth floor which had no screens. Opening the windows for ventilation was a substantial risk for serious injury and possible death. The AC units are not sufficient to keep the house cool and the owners should install screens for safety and to allow cross ventilation. It is a minimal expense and would save the owners on electricity. It would make the stay much more enjoyable and worth the cost. We would stay here again next summer if screens were installed. Please do so and let us know.

Lovely home

We had an amazing experience staying at this home. The place was so beautiful. The rental agency makes sure that the house is equipped for everything you might need. We noticed a bit of an ant problem and reported it to the agency, they responded with a tech at our door who came in to spray within a couple of hours. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. We loved the location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had blood and hair on 3 beds that we found. we washed the sheets and the blood came out so it was fresh! I texted you guys and they just offered to come clean them? We put all of the sheets in the washer asap so that wasn't fun doing laundry the first night on a $16,000 rental. The Floors were dirty with long hair in the corners. This was our second year at this house and this year was disappointing for sure. I was expecting a refund for that night or an offer for an extra night, not cleaners. We paid for it to be clean when we got there.

Great location

We really enjoyed this stay. All the bedrooms and bathrooms made it so comfortable. The biggest issue was the windows were very dirty. Normally not a huge problem but you are paying for the view of the ocean. Also had issues with entry codes when we first got there but a few calls resolved the issue.

Thanksgiving in Carlsbad

Great location on a wonderful beach. House is worn down a bit, but overall has what you need to have a great time. The listing is not very easy to follow, know that you are in a multi-unit complex and share a gate, stairs, etc. with other tenants. The patios are partitioned off per unit, but it's a bit of an awkward set up with others so close to you. We're used to more privacy at this price point, so it's something to be aware of. Also, the house is a complete management booking property - not a single beach toy, let alone chairs, umbrellas, etc. We much prefer to not have to schlep our stuff from home. Overall a good stay but not for those looking for complete privacy.

Carlsbad stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is older but in overall good shape. Great upstairs patio overlooking the beach. One of the few actual beachside rentals around. Most have a road between the unit and the beach. The rental staff were great, and everything went well. The only negative was that two of the room air conditioners are not cooling at all. Since we did not need all the bedrooms we did not even mention it. We just moved into different bedrooms. It is not usually all that hot there anyway, but in the evening when the sun shines in it can get a bit unbearable without the unit working. For the price I would expect everything to be working and in top shape.

Quick weekend bday celebration

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the home to host our family to celebrate a special birthday. The house was clean, spacious, and in a great location. There are a TON of stairs so it is not very accessible to the beach if you are in a wheelchair or have trouble with stairs. The amenities of the house were plentiful. It was well suited for home cooking. There was also plenty of street parking across the street from the house, and if you have to park farther just be sure to read the signs. It’s in a really high foot traffic area, but it still felt safe. The views were incomparable. It was so nice from the living room and the upstairs deck. We also liked that it was super spacious but still felt cozy. The bedrooms each have their own en suite bathroom. The only downside was that it was hot and the AC units didn’t seem to blow out any cool air.Since there are COVID regulations for cleaning, our 2-night rental felt really more like 24 hours given that we couldn’t check in until after 4pm and had to checkout at 10am. This isn’t the fault of the rental company but something to keep in mind if you’re only booking 2 nights. It will feel rushed. All of the strict policies about the doors locking at 10am and having 17 people there, one person left an item inside and we couldn’t retrieve them.

Wonderful vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is big and has plenty of space for 3-4 families. The beach is close and it's very family friendly. We had a lovely time!
