This was a great stay, close to the beach and a quick drive into town for dinner. The house was well stocked in the kitchen for cooking. Area was very quiet and walkable.

Couldn’t have asked for a better location! Within a 5 minute walk you are in the beach. House was clean and easy to access. The deck was wonderful to start and end your days.

Very enjoyable stay with good proximity to the lake and town. One of the beds seemed broken and was not comfortable for an adult to sleep on, but upon learning this they planned to look into the problem and fix it. We were happy with the accomodation especially for the price.

Amazing weekend stay!

My friends and I loved our weekend here! It’s super close to the beach, parks, and the downtown Michigan City area. It was the perfect size for the four of us and the owners were kind, communicative, and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Such a great stay!

The house was so cute and the property owner was very kind and hospitable! The home was clean and it’s walking distance from the beach, The back porch is beautiful with lots of space, and the whole experience overall was great! I would definitely recommend staying here!

It had a beautifully appointed kitchen - one of the best - we had all of the dishes, utensils, & cookware we needed!The house was nicely & comfortably furnished, & the beds were comfy. Also, the shower was great.My favorite, though, was the back deck. It’s just gorgeous back there.

The place is very clean in a great location. The only slight negative would be the spare bed is hard. Plenty kitchen and bathroom towels. The patio is big with comforterable chairs. Thx for making 2025"s girls trip a success.

Perfect lake getaway

I stayed here with my three daughters, and we had a wonderful time. This home is the perfect location for any activity. We easily walked to and from the zoo, the beach, and nearby restaurants. Loved the convenience! The space was cozy, well appointed, and tucked away in a cute neighborhood. If you’re looking for a cute and convenient place to stay and enjoy Michigan City, this is it.

The location was great. It was a short walk to the lake, but with only street parking it was hard to get a parking spot. It was 4th of July though so, a normal weekend probably would have been fine.

Charming home, spotless. Great deck, with lake view. Very quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors. Eat walk to beach, park and zoo. Nice for a getaway. Host was responsive when I accidentally shut off internet; she helped me get the problem resolved.

The location was perfect for what we were wanting. Communication was quick and easy, but hardly needed. Check in super easy. We spent most of our time at the beach which is an easy walk. Perfect for a long weekend with our family of four. Place has some years on it, so don’t think it is going to be the Ritz. It was perfect for us though and would suggest.

Very clean and accomodating space

This property was immaculate. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, as well as the large back deck. The only thing that would have made our stay slightly more comfortable is access to a washer/dryer. With all the sand and sweat, washing our clothes was a luxury I was missing. The house was well stocked with towels and cleaning supplies. The house was just the space we needed.

Michigan City 2025

We loved our stay. The price was fair. The location was so close to the beach. Most anything you wanted nearby was a walk or even a bike ride. The interior was open, which is perfect for interacting with our group of friends. The bathroom was roomy and the hot water was plentiful. The outside was large with lots of comfortable seating. Mary was a great host with great communication and pleasant manner. We lacked for nothing.

Overall a good stay. The location is good, and communication with the host was great!The house is older, and some aspects are not great in terms of niceness and quality - the bedrooms are very small, some doors don't shut or latch fully, no horizontal surfaces in the bathroom for toiletries, etc - stuff that is difficult to see from listing photos. Also, parking is limited - it's street parking only, and on a somewhat steep hill. Definitely want to set the parking brake and cut the wheels toward the shoulder.However, none of this kept us from enjoying our stay and having a great family vacation.

Comfortable and clean

We enjoyed our stay in this little house near the shore of Lake Michigan in Michigan City. It was quick walk to the shoreline and parks and other interesting things to do! House and property was very clean and comfortable. Price was very good compared to other listings in the immediate area. Around hour and a half to heart of Chicago! But very quiet and safe neighborhood nestled in small town atmosphere! Some great local eateries nearby as well!

Perfect weekend

We stayed in this sweet little house for a weekend birthday trip and it was perfect. Super close proximity to the lake with a peekaboo view off the back deck. It was super hot when we were there otherwise that back deck seems like a perfect place to hang out. We were in walking distance to a great brunch spot and a fun Jamaican restaurant. If you have young kids, the zoo is right there and a couple playgrounds. The house had everything you need with two little bedrooms and adequate bathroom and plenty of living room and dining space. Easy street parking. The beach nearby is absolutely gorgeous with soft sands and crystal clear water. If you're hesitating don't, this is a great little hidden gem and we will be back!

Great place to stay for a beach vacation

I booked a last minute trip to Indiana Dunes and chose this place to be close to the water. My family had the best time. We went into the national park for a hike one day but preferred the beach by this house over anything else we did. We walked the 5-7 minutes each day to the beach. Clean, soft sand and clear water. My toddler had a blast at the beach and even better there was a playground on the way to and from the beach we stopped at each day. We also walked to the zoo which had a great lookout over the lake. Town was really cute with plenty of restaurants and an outlet mall. Bubbles ice cream was recommended by the hosts and it was great. House was clean and actually a great layout for a toddler (no steps :)). Hosts very responsive and friendly when I had a question. House also has a grill and some beach stuff to use which was nice. Definitely recommend for a relaxing beach stay.
