Great location, just a mile from downtown Elkin. The house was very comfortable and nicely renovated. Backyard and neighborhood is quiet. We would stay here again and recommend this house.

Great Cottage for Winery visits

The cottage was nice, clean and well equipped. It’s is in a great location for your visit to the Elkin area and all the wineries that are around that area. Restaurants are close by and it is a quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful, clean house near downtown Jonesville. Host was very communicative and accommodating. There was a mixup at the end of our stay that was 100% our fault, but the host worked out a way for us to make it right. Would definitely recommend this host and this house.

Guys trip

Booked for a guys weekend to do our fantasy football draft and drink some wine. House was great. Beds were very comfortable and they had plenty of wine glasses (have stayed ither places without wine glasses). Spent time on the patio and hosts told us they are working on adding a sitting area to the backyard...we would book again.

Cousins Trip

The home was very well equipped with everything needed from the kitchen to the laundry room. The decor is well done with comfortable furnishings. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable.Everything was very clean and well maintained, and it looked as though the entire house had been completely updated. The host was very accommodating and gracious, and even provided some camp chairs that we were able to use at MerleFest, a nearby music festival. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this property.

Nice Old House

Neighborhood not so good. This house and most houses on this street need grass cut. House next door had trash all over the yard. Sign was hanging down in front. The Wine theme was over done. T

Thanks for staying with us! Our neighborhood yard service begins for the season on April 1 (everything looks nice now!). Unfortunately we were unable to schedule an early cut with the last-minute nature of your reservation. We do feel that the photos accurately represent the decor of Cabernet Cottage though we understand that personal preferences vary.

Close to downtown and wineries

Our group really enjoyed the proximity to downtown Elkin. We ate at Southern on Main, delicious, and it was only 2 or 3 minutes away from the house. We visited 4 wineries - Dynamis, Piccone, Christian Paul, and Elkin Creek and I think they were all within a 10 minute drive. The owners have added several details that our group appreciated - plenty of places to charge a phone, multiple towel hooks, remote controls for the ceiling fans, fully stocked kitchen. Our only minor complaint is that the yard service came while we were there and I wish we were warned beforehand...not a big deal just something annoying.

We have contacted our yard service and have requested our service date to change to a weekday to minimize impact with future visits!
