This home was immaculate and comfortable. The host’s have thought of everything you need as your home away from home. Very family friendly. We enjoyed sitting down by the creek and taking in all God’s wonder. Beautiful and extremely relaxing. We are huge Andy Griffith Show fans, so our trip to Mayberry was a must. It’s a short drive to Mt Airy.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely, clean house in a beautiful setting! We met for an early holiday gathering and were able to cook large meals in the kitchen with the provided pots & pans with a little creativity (Sangria mixed in a stock pot & regular muffins downsized to fit the mini muffin pan provided) we also enjoyed some hiking at Stone Mountain and visiting a few wineries. We had one minor hiccup with the door lock but owner was easy to reach and helped with some troubleshooting. We really enjoyed spending time down by the creek, there is a bit of a hill to walk up & down (or a set of stairs) to get to the water which was a little difficult for our toddler. Overall a pleasant stay. Thanks!

The house is beautiful with plenty of options for sleeping. It also has the nice outside area to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Tim and Heather are great at getting back to you when you have questions.

Awesome Graduation Weekend

We had a wonderful stay! The house is lovely and family friendly. We had a wonderful time playing in the creek and hanging out on the backporch. My10 year old daughter loved playing ping pong. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and dishes to make family meals. Overall gteat weekend for a graduation celebration.

Great house!

We loved spending time in your house. The River and Vine House was perfect for our group of ladies. It was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We especially loved sitting on the deck in the morning, drinking our coffee, and in the evenings, drinking our wines from some of the local wineries we visited. What fun!! Thank you!

Annual Wine Tasting Trip

Wonderful place to stay. The home was beautiful, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed cooking out on the Blackstone and using the fire pit down by the creek. The host were very informative on local events. Highly recommend

Family get away

We rented this home for a little family excursion while my son and daughter in law visited from Idaho. It is a beautiful place. We did not get to use the river or fire pit due to rain but it was beautiful there. The only thing I would have changed would have been the seating in the game room when stairs. There was not enough room for an of us to sit and play. Other than that we all had a wonderful time.

Picture Perfect

We enjoyed our stay At the River and Vine House. The inside and outside is exactly as the pictures on the listing. This is the cleanest VRBO that we have ever stayed in. We loved the central location to be able to visit Elkin, Mountain State Park, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain. This house is also very close to several vineyards that we visited, including a vineyard where we attended a wedding. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river behind the house. The back porch was the perfect place to enjoy coffee each morning, listening to the creek and watching the leaves fall from the trees. The hosts were always quick to respond for any questions that we had. We plan to visit again with our children and grandchildren for a family vacation in the future.

Quick Visit for Concert

My husband and I and two other couples stayed for the weekend at the River and Vine. We were in the area for a concert at Shelton Winery and the house is just 12 minutes away. It was a perfectly clean and nicely furnished home. The bedrooms are spacious and the property is beautiful. Please note that the loft "bedroom" is not a bedroom -- just has two beds. There is no bathroom on that floor. Our friends that slept in the loft used the basement bathroom - which was perfectly fine for them. The only issue we had (other than the rain all weekend) was that the Blackstone grill top did not get hot enough to cook anything. The guys (who all own Blackstone's) said that there was something wrong with the knobs ?? Not a big deal-- but was a little disappointing come breakfast time. We did walk in the river and the water was clear and refreshing. Very peaceful! All in all it was a great weekend and we would rent the home again!

Perfect Weekend Winery River House

We brought our grown kids and their spouses and twin 17 month olds and the house was spotless, perfect for our group and close to all the wineries and supplies. Our host even reached out during a bad storm to update us on the area power outage which only lasted a bit but was super nice to reach out to us. The twins loved getting in to the river and we all loved the back deck overlooking the river. Great layout for our group and we all want to come back for more than 3 days! Thanks Tim!

We all enjoyed our stay. Very nice and well appointed provisions, to include a Blackstone to cook on. 💯 Plenty of room to be together, and plenty of room to separate out. Nice relaxing fire pit; river is beautiful. Short of bringing your personal items and groceries, you’re good to go here! We would definitely return. Kids loved the ping pong, too. 👍
