LO SIENTO, ESTÁ RESERVADO PARA THE STURGIS RALLY! Esta casa de troncos rústica, pero muy cómoda se encuentra en un entorno tranquilo que limita con acres de propiedad de servicio forestal. Hay dos "dormitorios principales" cada uno con una cama queen. Un dormitorio más con una litera doble encima y otro con solo dos camas. Hay mucho para mantenerte ocupado con los senderos de pavos y venados que se prestan bien para el senderismo, el ciclismo de montaña (tengo bicicletas / cascos de préstamo) y la observación de flores silvestres. Para las actividades en el lugar, hay varias: hornear pizzas en el horno de leña para pizza, herraduras, tirar bolsas de frijoles, columpiarse, relajarse en la bañera de hidromasaje, relajarse en las hamacas, encender la hoguera o encender el fuego y el vapor. it-up en la sauna de registro.

Convenientemente ubicado cerca de la hermosa Nemo Road, que esculpe un accidentado camino escénico curvas, a través de las colinas. The Perfect Place in the Perfect Place

Imagine a fun-packed day experiencing all the Black Hills has to offer and then coming "home" to a peaceful, quiet, serene setting built in the middle of whispering ponderosas. That's what you'll experience in Bruce's home in the foothills of Rapid City. The home has everything (and then some) to make your stay just what you wanted. The property adjoins government land so you can use that in addition to the spacious yard. We enjoyed nightly fire pit gatherings, watching the deer and wild turkeys come and go. We had 3 children in our group of nine and they had ample room to explore and use their imaginations inventing games in the yard. I personally enjoyed the hammock when the down-slope winds would kick in early in the evening. The younger crowd enjoyed relaxing in the large and immaculately clean hot tub. Bruce's house has everything you would need and is as neat as a pin: ample towels; lots of cooking utensils; an indoor/outdoor music system; washer and dryer/ and enough maps and local information to make sure you see what you want to see. Bruce is currently enlarging his home, but the construction doesn't affect your stay whatsoever. It will be amazing when he finishes it I'm sure. Speaking of Bruce, he is the nicest and kindest person to deal with. He's as honest as the day is long, and will ensure everything is done right. We checked in with his manager, Lindsey, who was also incredible. She met us to check us in and showed us all the ropes. She also returned to check us out. The home was perfect for three couples and three children. Privacy was never an issue and everyone had his/her own space. You owe it to yourselves to stay here because I frankly will remember the family times we spent in the cabin more so than some of the things we did in the area.

Beautiful and serene!

We JUST got back from our vacation in SD and WOW - what an amazing property! The home was fully stocked with everything a family needs when staying away from home. All "things to do" are within a 45-60 minute drive - Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Mammoth Site, etc. We saw deer and turkey's every day right outside our door. Bruce, the owner, is incredibly professional and kind. I highly recommend this property and owner!!

Our Picture Perfect Stay in South Dakota

The description of this Rapid City log home promised so much and delivered on every aspect. The location was ideal. Located in a natural setting of beautiful trees and wildlife, this cabin offers proximity to more area attractions than can possibly be enjoyed in a week, all within a comfortable driving distance. We even drove to Wyoming one day to see Devil's Tower which we would highly recommend. We also saw Mount Rushmore, visited the Badlands, went through Bear Country, played putt-putt (a family vacation tradition), and saw the Crazy Horse monument and learned about the history of the family that continues to build this tribute to the Indian nation. We also went to Custer Park. This is only a partial list, but the really great part of this trip was coming home to the cabin each evening. We cooked dinner, enjoyed the hot tub, and roasted marshmallows over an open campfire. Out of the nine days we stayed at the cabin, we decided to stay home one day just to relax and enjoy all that the cabin and the area property had to offer. We hiked, took lots of photographs, enjoyed seeing the birds, deer, wild turkeys and horses in the area, and then topped it off with a snooze in the hammocks. What a glorious day. And everything we needed for comfort and convenience was available to us from the kitchen, to the extra blankets for cool evenings, to a washer and dryer so we never ran out of clean clothes. We really enjoyed the collection of movies and CD's that were available. Our 16-year-old enjoyed the oldies (you know . . . from the 1980's like Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd). One night, we even pulled out the cast iron cookware from the storage shed and cooked jambalaya over the open fire. We truly enjoyed an amazing week that our family will never forget. We visited South Dakota so we could check Mt. Rushmore off our "bucket list" and we were rewarded with MANY experiences of a lifetime. Each day was an adventure. Many thanks to our host for making it all possible.

We are both retired and love to share this unique home with others. It was on VRBO years ago as the addition was being built so the three reviews on the site were done before the place became really cool. It had a small (one butt) kitchen then and the master bedroom was in what is now the master closet. I am a retired civil engineer and enjoy expressing my artistic side by creating a natural living environment that capitalizes on living-space outside which also blends well with the inside living space. The result is a home that has many places for relaxing in or near nature. This is a great place to take a break from screens and connect with nature. We enjoy hiking and mt, biking on the trails behind our house. In the winter, we enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the same trails.

This location is a mountain-biker's paradise. At one time, the trail called "Bone Collector" was the most frequently You Tubed mt. bike trail. "Howling Beagle" is another popular trail that provides scenic rock formations like the "eye of the needle" located less than 1/2 a mile away.I was looking for a log home that bordered Forest Service property, and was near Rapid City. This house was a fixer-upper when I bought it 30 years ago for its potential. This is a great place for people to get together for reunions, family time and relaxing. Grandkids love it here. The Black Hills offer many day trips from this centrally-located oasis. This is a great place to come home to after a busy day of being tourist. It is a great place to stay home for the day and actually relax on your vacation. Perhaps let some of the other people play tourist for the day and you promise to have the pizza dough rising and the wood fired pizza oven hot when they get home.

This house is in a class of its own when it comes to being "unique". Have you evert seen a 9 foot tall drawer that looks like a log wall when closed, or drawers that look like a stone fireplace surround when closed? Stand on the loft balcony and enjoy your morning coffee while you enjoy the view where you can see for miles, or start the day with a steam in the sauna that I built. I start every morning in the Jacuzzi for meditation and stretching. This house is a great place from which to watch wildlife. You will see peacocks, turkeys, and deer every day. The house has many windows that provide great wildlife viewing. The peacocks are free-range and have become quite prolific in recent years. Last summer, we had a peahen nest in the grass on the front lawn. She had 2-3 chicks.
