Stunning views and quiet location. Lighting could be improved especially in master bedroom and basement family room. Ice maker broken. Too dark to find at night when we arrived. Would have appreciated a light left on.

We had an incredible time at Midnight Blu. The cabin had everything we needed, and the owners were super easy to communicate with. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day of riding the trails. We will definitely stay here next time we are in the Black Hills!

Beautiful home, wonderful stay!

This home was perfect for our stay in the Black Hills. We saw wild turkeys every day, had a beautiful view and the home had everything we needed and more to make our stay great. The kids loved the hot tub and pool table. We explored all over the Hills and the home was the perfect place to retire to each evening.

If you are looking to get away from people in general, this is the spot. Nothing better than watching the sunrise with a morning coffee and hearing nothing but nature. Beautiful place and our family thoroughly enjoyed it.

Friends weekend

Great location for our side by side weekend. Trails were easy to get too. The property was very clean and equipped with whatever you needed. We had a great stay! The manager was excellent to work with!! Definitely would stay here again.

Mt Rushmore and More

Property was great for our stay. We were a family of adult siblings gathering for some time together while taking in Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, the Badlands, etc. Property was a great location to stay - many of the desired locations were 2 hours away, but the home was centrally located to them all. Home was well stocked and served our needs. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was great to relax in the evenings, although we really didn't have as much free time as we would have liked to just hang around the house. We checked in Monday and out on Saturday, but wished we would have added a couple of extra days just to be enjoying the house. House was secluded, but not isolated; there are a few neighboring houses, but we did not hear anything from any of those houses. Host was responsive to our questions. As noted in the description, two bedrooms are open/lofted. One bedroom, as well as the bathroom, is accessed through the other. We were able to work around that, but it is definitely something you want to consider before renting. Would definitely recommend staying at this home to enjoy the view!

Amazing Midnight Blu

The property had an incredible view from all angles. It was clean, well stocked with everything we needed , ie- towels, kitchen utensils, spices, cleaning supplies... The beds were very comfortable too It was close to trail riding, Deadwood, and Keystone so there is lots to do! We hope to return someday!

Jaw dropping view, beautiful cabin

I grew up in the area but hadn’t been back in 20 years. This cabin was perfect start to finish. This was the most idyllic return home to the Black Hills I could ever have hoped for! The drive up is stunning and curvy - the cabin is built at the top of the tree line. It’s very close to Pactola Resevoir. And reasonably close to Rapid City as well Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, the Needles Highway, etc. The view is unmatched - the pictures don’t do it justice. The only odd thing about the architecture is that the second floor master en-suite is a loft so no doors or privacy and the third floor bedrooms are accessed via stairs through the bedroom level. This was a very minor issue given that the view from the open bedroom is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in all my travels. A head’s up - as you drive up the windy road you pass over an auto gate and you might encounter a small heard of cattle in the road. You can’t drive fast up the hill but if you arrive after dark keep your eyes peeled for them. The property manager was so helpful - I’m so grateful for help they gave me. This was the stay of a lifetime. I’ll never forget it. Thank you!

Peaceful Hideaway

My friends and I with our spouses enjoyed the quiet and beauty of the Black Hills while staying here. Lots of space to spread out. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub as well!

Wonderful and Relaxing

Wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods with amazing mountain views. The owner was GREAT to work with and answered all of my questions. We fit all 10 of us comfortably. We didn't want to leave!

Week long stay in June

Great property with amazing views. Was pretty well stocked with towels for the hot tub. Plenty of supplies, dishes, and other necessities. The internet is slow but that may be the whole area. No major bad things to say. Not a super baby friendly place for toddlers that can walk but we made it work.

Clean and quiet!

We had a great week-long stay here and really enjoyed it. The property was well stocked in the kitchen and with other necessities such as towels, laundry supplies, hand soap, toilet paper, etc. The view was great! And we appreciated the hot tub too! The only thing that would have been nice to know is 2 of the 4 bedrooms are loft style— meaning open to the main floor. That made bedtime/quiet time a little more difficult if some of our group wanted to stay up. It was a minor inconvenience, but didn’t affect our overall stay. We would recommend this place to others!

This property and others that we manage on Edelweiss Mountain are in a secluded area which gives you a chance to unwind from a day of sight seeing. The quite area will allow you to see wildlife and see the stars above at night. This cabin is owned by residents of South Dakota who love the Black Hills. We expect that anyone renting our cabin will treat it with care as well as respect the furnishings in the home. We are very respectful members of the Edelweiss Mountain homeowners association. We only want renters who will also hold high regard for the beauty and serenity of our hidden little community.
We invite you to spend your next vacation at our cabin. Whether it's for a week or a few days . Our cabin offers some of the most breathtaking scenery and relaxing atmosphere found anywhere.
