Space not cleaned. Couldn’t get in- took an hour to get the correct code. Bedding was dirty. Toilet dirty. Trash cans full. NO HOT WATER. Couldn’t reach the host until day two. No silverware; no toaster; no blow dryer. With temperatures in single digits, window open with leaves blowing in.

Great time however our check out was at 11am and our housekeeper came in at 10am. I had to message the host and explain to him that our check out was at 11am. In addition when we arrived I had to text the host to get our information and we had to sit and wait to get a code to get inside the property. I just wish that we had gotten the information the morning or an hour before.

We booked this property because it was very affordable and the location couldn’t be better—it was just minutes from the cycling event we attended. Piper’s Coffee was a two-minute walk away, and the neighbor in the duplex was very kind. The beds were soft and comfortable, which was nice after a long day.That said, there are areas that need improvement. Before booking I asked about kitchen supplies since we planned to cook, and was told they were available. Unfortunately, earlier reviews were accurate—there were only a couple of mugs, a few toddler-sized spoons, two forks, and no dish strainer or measuring cups. The skillets aren’t non-stick, so bring oil. The host did offer to bring some utensils after I checked in, but by then it was too late.The flooring is another issue—while the living room has vinyl, the kitchen has stick-on flooring that seemed tacky, and walking barefoot left my feet dirty. Parking is on the street and can be tight; the cone helps but doesn’t guarantee a spot. The stairs are pretty steep and right at the entrance, which was tricky with mobility issues. For the number of guests allowed, towels were limited (two bath, two hand, two washcloths).Overall, the location is excellent and the beds are nice, but the property would really benefit from addressing these reviews and improving for other guest.

Beds were incredibly uncomfortable. The air conditioner didn’t work properly and didn’t get below 76 degrees. Needed to buy 2 fans for comfort to sleep. Water pressure in shower was bad. Limited dishes to have meals, no toaster. Fridge/freezer was very small. Limited towels. Overall very dissatisfied with this property.

Overall nice place. Didnt know there was 2 flights of stairs to go up at the front door. Was a little challenging with luggage and one of my coworkers had hip surgery a few months ago so I would have looked at a different location had I known. The parking situation was hard since the everyone has to park on both sides of the road. The toilet makes a loud noise every 30 mins but was manageable. There was no window covering in the third bedroom with the twin beds.

Comfortable

The house was clean and comfortable, despite what we thought pulling up to the property. The exterior could use a little curb appeal. Overall it was good experience. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Did not stay

The property was not what we expected, and we did not stay the night. It smelled like pot and there was a smoked joint in the sunroom. The hand towel in the bathroom was dirty or stained. It was hot, the flooring was gross, and the third bedroom was hard to find. The VRBO listing did not reflect the real property.

Space was clean and was an excellent stay for a quick overnight trip. Highly recommend if you need somewhere that is close enough to everything in the city. Host was wonderful and easy to work with and communicated well.

Overall we were happy with the Vrbo . 6 of stayed only one night since we were going to Busch stadium for the baseball game .

Enjoyed our stay

Everything went well with the rental. The owner was very easy to reach and polite. I wasn’t a huge fan of the neighborhood, but you can’t really change that.

Nice place but...

Overall the place was very nice and found it to be as described. The owner was available if needed. One draw back was the lack of good air condtioning. It was hot outside but the air was not sufficient to cool the u it. We bought a fan so we could sleep.

Great central location

We came into town for a family wedding and this location was centrally located to all our venues. The price was great. This nice old house was as pictured online. They stained glass windows and a little porch area were not pictured but a nice bonus. Communication and settling in was clear and simple. So glad you found the place.

This was a great location. Perfect for our small group of friends. Very clean, easy check in. Very old house but done well. Would recommend.

Cute place but needs a little attention

We were a group of 5, (mom and 4 sisters). The place was cute, the beds were comfy and it was very clean. When I originally booked the house we had reservations to go to a Savanna Bananas game at Busch Stadium, but that was postponed until July and it was too late to cancel our Vrbo reservation. We didn't need a lot of kitchen amenities originally, so having a smaller fridge and no dishwasher weren't important to us. However, once our plans changed, we realized that there were not a lot of dishes available, let alone anything additional a kitchen would have, like seasonings, coffee, etc. This still doesn't warrant a bad review, just something I think it might be worth noting. Additionally, one of the rooms had two windows, one without any covering at all (and neighbors very close by) and the other with a gap in the seal that caused the mini blinds to bang constantly. These are very minor, and fixable things in the grand scheme of the trip. The neighborhood felt safe. We were always able to find a place to park our car (on the street). There weren't any issues with accessing the home and overall we had a great stay.

St Louis Christmas

Property was as pictured, however the stair was right after you opened door, everything was on second floor. Very limited parking. Kitchen items was a joke, only plates, glasses and baby forks and spoons. No sugar, salt or pepper. Only one kitchen towel to hand wash dished. Bedrooms were comfortable, livingroom and dining room as pictured. Great place to sleep only. Don't plan on cooking.
