Great location, big space, bedroom set up a little weird but made it work. Lots of stairs to climb so handicapped will have a problem. But overall great stay

Great Stay!

Location is fantastic. Kitchen has all the necessities - we had a full dinner with 10 adults - all kitchen utilities were there! Love the history! This is our second booking - we stayed for a similar weekend last July, too! What was the building / upper floor used for historically?

The gathering area and kitchen were large and gave everyone plenty of area to spread out. Having only five people we always felt we had lots of space. Initially we were a bit cautious with the two partitioned bedrooms, but they were well situated and offered plenty of privacy. Loved the old brick walls and the art work. The location to downtown and the closeness to the waterfront were wonderful. Had a great stay and we felt everything was clear.Thank you. Karen P

Great Location

We enjoyed the apartment, particularly the location. Even though we had cars, and the parking was excellent, we could walk to pubs and restaurants with ease.

This property was roomy for a fun get together. Kitchen well stocked for family meals and private quiet space for us to make a ruckus if we wanted to celebrate. Convenient to all major attractions and walks

Great location

Easy walking to shops, restaurants and theatre. Accommodated 7 of us very comfortable. Only suggestion was that prehaps you should mention to users to try and drop of luggage, etc. in front before parking behind. Other than that, a really great stay

Dreamy loft with unforgettable characteristics!

My family and I stayed at this loft over a long weekend. We loved this very unique space.Centered in Gananoque made it the perfect location. We enjoyed walks to the waterfront, the many close restaurants and the bustling downtown core. Up in the loft the noise of the street melted away in this beautiful century loft. Very spacious, clean and full of character. Beds were super comfortable! This was a great find. The host were prompt with any needs and provided great instructions for our stay. We will be back for sure!

family holiday weekend

Excellent accommodations! Everything you would need, inside and OUT! Rather strange layout but it worked for us! Very interested to understand the history behind the building / what was in this space years ago. Very cool architectural features inside - deep windowsills, beautiful cornices, crown mouldings, semicircular window over doorway, very high ceilings... very interesting and I'm intrigued!

Great for Family and/or Friend Reunion

The photos are representative, but being there is when you see how cool it is. The place is huge with room to visit, eat, play and entertain. The layout is for people who want a place to visit and hang out together. Livingroom-dining area is open. Ceilings are high. Can watch movies, eat, kids can play…The kitchen great to lay out food for a large group. Full size refrigerator, great food prep area and counter to set up a buffet. The sleeping layout is quirky but functional Two of the “rooms” are sectioned off by furniture and walls similar to office cubicles. Comfortable but could be loud if you are Location is excellent. Several restaurants outside the door. We ate breakfast at Maverick’s, and would do so again 10 minute walk to City Cruises for a cruise of Alexandria BayStairs to access were very long but the steps themselves were wide enough to comfortably plant your foot on each, and the climb was not too steep. With that said, look at the photo. A friend of who had knee surgery assessed he would not be able to visit The bedroom with a physical door was accessible from the rest of the apartment through one of the bathrooms Quirky but comfortable The room had two double/queen beds and an adjoining room with a pullout couch & closets. We used it as a dressing room and place to set up our suitcases6 showered & got ready for a wedding easilyParking for 2 vehicles behind the buildingNot fancy, but would return in a heartbeat

Es gab ein ausgesprochen großes Wohnzimmer; das war beeindruckend und das Asset des Apartments. Zwei der Schlafzimmer wurden jedoch nur durch bewegliche Raumteiler im hinteren Bereich des Wohnzimmers gebildet und ließen so gut wie keine Privatsphäre zu. Es gab eine Dusche mit WC und ein weiteres WC mit Waschbecken, bei dem es aber keinWarmwasser gab (aus dem Warmwasserhahn kam kein Wasser). Das zweite Bad (beim dritten, eigenständigen Schlafzimmer) war in Ordnung, hatte sogar eine eigene Badewanne, aber die Dusche und der Bereich beim Waschbecken war sehr eng. Die Elektrik hatte ihre Eigenheiten. Zum Beispiel befand sich der Lichtschalter für die beiden "wohnzimmerintegrierten" Schlafzimmer beim Eingang ins Apartment. Die in die Jahre gekommene Waschmaschine braucht eine Grundreinigung. Wir haben sie deshalb nicht benützt. Wir haben das Apartment unter anderem wegen der sehr guten Bewertungen gebucht, können diese aber nicht nachvollziehen. Es ist etwas für Nostalgiker; für uns war es aber zu viel Nostalgie.

Very unique property!

The loft apartment was huge, with a really unusual layout, and plenty of facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Communication with the hosts was fast and helpful when needed. The property was a perfect vacation base for myself, my children and parents. It was as described, easily walk-able to the 1000 island boats, museums, restaurants and the lovely little beach. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We had to cancel on a very short notice as we had a medical emergency in the family. Karen and Peter were extremely quick and accommodating. Just a real pleasure to deal with. We are hoping to visit in the future. Thank you Karen and Peter.

Excellent Stay

Great location and very spacious. There were 8 of us that got together for the weekend and there was lots of room for everyone. Karen and Peter were great to deal with and very accommodating. Would recommend this place to friends.

Amazing apartment for our group of 10

We were a group of 10 friends and stayed for 2 nights - The facilities were amazing except the bathrooms which were quite small - The beds were very comfortable with full kitchen equipped with ample kitchen stuff , towels etc. - The apartment was clean and tidy - Great location Bottom line we had a great stay - Thank you Karen and Peter for accommodating with early check in -
