Bonita casa de pueblo Dinan, Bretaña

Esta es una bonita y pequeña casa del siglo XIX ubicada dentro de los muros de la ciudad medieval de Dinan en Bretaña.
Su posición en 'Le Jardin Anglais' (El Jardín Inglés) y al lado de la magnífica Basílica de San Saveur es bastante única. A pocos minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad, con sus restaurantes, crepêries, tiendas y bares, es una zona tranquila e idílica. La casa ha sido renovada a un alto nivel y está hermosamente amueblada y bien equipada. La sala de estar principal se encuentra en el primer piso para poder disfrutar de las vistas de la iglesia y el jardín. Incluye: una cocina moderna, una sala de estar con TV en inglés, DVD y equipo de música, un área de comedor y un área de entrepiso con wifi. Hay dos habitaciones dobles, una grande en la planta baja con baño en suite y otra más pequeña en la planta superior con ducha en suite. Aunque es muy compacto, el espacio dentro de la casa está bien diseñado y es ideal para una o dos parejas.


Dinan Town: Dinan es una joya arquitectónica, rodeada por 2.700 metros de murallas. Sus calles históricas contienen casas de entramado de madera de los siglos XV y XVI, así como residencias renacentistas, iglesias románicas y góticas y antiguas capillas y conventos.

La vista desde el Jardín Inglés es bastante impresionante, mirando hacia el antiguo puerto y el magnífico viaducto que se extiende por el río Rance.

Una caminata extenuante pero gratificante es desde la ciudad hasta el puerto a través de la empinada Rue de Petit Fort, una de las calles más antiguas de Dinan.

La ciudad cuenta con más de 35 restaurantes que van desde bares sin lujos hasta creperías tradicionales y restaurantes cordon bleu.

Cada jueves hay un gran mercado para verduras frescas, queso, pan y todo tipo de delicias gastronómicas.

Norte de Bretaña: Dinan se encuentra a 20 kilómetros al sur de la espectacular costa norte de Bretaña. Hay muchas hermosas playas y centros turísticos para explorar, incluido el histórico puerto fortificado de St Malo, a 35 minutos en coche, y la encantadora ciudad costera de Dinard, a solo 30 minutos.

La ciudad capital de Bretaña es Rennes, que se encuentra a 50 minutos en coche hacia el sur, y vale la pena una visita de un día.

Un lugar idilico ,centrico y un trato exquisito.En todo momento se mostraron a nuestra disposicion.El apartamento es muy bonito y muy bien situado,Solamente un pero,la habitacion de arriba del todo , aunque la cama es muy grande, no hay espacio para moverse.El resto perfecto, muy recomendable para quien quiera ver esta bellisima ciudad.

We had a lovely time over Christmas at Jacci and Rob’s beautiful town house. Dinan is a real gem of a town, with lots of history and nice local shops. It was busy with visitors which added to the festive feeling. The house was perfect for us and very central being next to St Sauvuer church, the gardens and ramparts. We managed trips to Dinard and Rennes which were also very nice and interesting. You can park outside the house to drop off/pick up and then park your car in the secure underground car park a few minutes walk away. Everything has been thought of in terms of furnishings and kitchen equipment and we managed to cook a full Christmas dinner with duck rather than our usual goose.Our stay was made perfect by the beautiful cold and sunny weather we had throughout, perfect for walking and exploring. We will not hesitate to come back when visiting this area again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Dinan. The location of the house is wonderful, especially with a dog (who is good at walking stairs)! There is a green area right on the doorstep and you can walk along the river in just a few minutes. The house manager is very helpful and has great tips for your stay! Many thanks again!

This quant property is perfectly located to enjoy the full ambience of medieval Dinan. Well worth a visit!

Had a great few days. Shops, restaurant/ bars all in walking distance and Jardin Anglais across the road is lovely to sit out in the sunshine or under ths shades of the trees. The property has all you need for a short break and longer.

This was our fourth stay in Dinan and our second at Rob & Jacci’s place in Dinan, a city we like a lot, both for itself and as a base from which to explore NE Brittany and W Normandy. The use was immaculate as before, and unchanged so far as we could see. We hopeto come again!

Definitely a good choice!

At the end of May, we spent nine nights in Jacci and Rob's old, small, charming house. You immediately notice that the hosts themselves are frequent guests in the house: everything is available in sufficient quantities, nothing is rationed as is often the case in holiday apartments. The living room on the first floor with the kitchenette is optimally utilised and furnished to make you feel at home – even rainy days can be spent there very comfortably. We slept very well in the actually very small bedroom under the roof, after we had got used to the limited space. If you want more space, you can sleep in the bedroom on the ground floor. It has significantly more space and a luxurious bathtub instead of a shower. For us (aged 69 and 78), the two relatively narrow and steep staircases were no problem, but this may be different for people with health problems. The location right next to the English Garden with its famous view of the Rance and the port of Dinan and right next to the Basilica of Saint-Saveur is priceless. You walk out of the house and you are in the historic old town.Despite this hot spot location, it was quiet. The parking subscription card provided by Jacci and Rob is also invaluable. The car park is on the other side of the basilica and only a two-minute walk away.Unfortunately, only 1,500 characters are allowed here. Therefore, our conclusion is:We can definitely recommend Jacci and Rob's house!

A well-placed little gem in Dinan

This is a lovely apartment; everything was beautifully done…and so much thoughtful attention to detail everywhere. The owners have compiled excellent information about the apartment and the town. The location is fantastic: peaceful and quiet. You can easily walk to everything. NOTE: be sure to get clear, specific directions to the apartment and also to the correct parking garage. We had a very difficult time with both upon our arrival but finally got it figured out. All in all this is a very special and charming place; we felt very lucky to have found it. Thank you, Jacci et Rob!

Central location

Es ist ein altes Haus, was renoviert worden ist, es ist jedoch nicht eben, was man bei so einem Haus wissen muss.(Wer in einem Jahrhundertealten Haus gelebt hat, weiss es). Die Lage ist gut, die Ausstattung auch. Auf Grund von Bauarbeiten in der Innenstadt und der wechselnden Verkehrsführung, fanden wir es nicht sofort, aber dank der lokalen Betreuung wurden wir hingebracht.Die Treppe zum oberen Stockwerk ist sehr steil und schmal, also für etwas fülligere Personen schwierig.Das Parkhaus ist 3 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt und sauber und sicher.Die Wohnung verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, gut ausgestattete Küche und schönes Wohnzimmer. Die Bäder waren sauber.Die Innenstadt ist sofort erreichbar. Der Park vor der Tür ideal für Hunde.Zu unserer Zeit waren bauarbeiten an der Kirche, die nicht störend waren. Das Nachbarhaus wurde renoviert, was inzwischen fertig sein sollte, was jedoch störend war, da direkt die Tür zugeparkt war und ständig Steinchen herunterfielen.

Ein perfekter Urlaub!

Das Haus war für meine Tochter und mich das Richtige. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet, liegt ruhig inmitten der schönen historischen Stadt mit seinen vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Geschäften. Den Wagen habe ich nur für Ausflüge in die Umgebung aus der nahen Tiefgarage geholt. Selbst für unseren Hund gab es direkt vor der Haustür, die Möglichkeit zu spielen und sich zu bewegen. Für ältere Menschen oder kleine Kinder sind die Treppen in diesem traumhaften Haus eventuell zu steil und zu eng. Danke für die tolle Zeit!!!

A relaxing week in Dinan

We had a lovely week, just what we wanted after our daughters had finished their exams. The house was perfect, they loved the upstairs room and the view of the church was amazing. The dog enjoyed herself too! The location couldn't have been any better, beside the little park with amazing views and a lovely pub and cafe just 2 mins walk away, and central to the rest of town. We are already familiar with the area and love the nearby coastline and all the local markets.

A month in Dinan

My wife and I decided to stay for a month in Brittany and chose this ideally located apartment in the Dinan Historic Centre. It is situated on the lovely Jardin Anglais and is 100 metres from the city wall overlooking the Rance River valley. With the exception of a newly opening B&B nearby, it is the only apartment situated on the garden and an easy walk to shops, cafes, grocery stores and launderettes. It is next to the Basilica, which thankfully does not chime during sleeping hours. We had a fair amount of cool, wet weather in May, but the house manager Cecily kindly came by to refresh our linens every 7-10 days. The kitchen was quite adequate to cook a variety of meals, with several spices and condiments available. There was a wealth of information on the area and there is underground parking available, which is a huge plus. We felt quite at home and were sorry to leave--thanks again to Jacci and Rob!

Tranquil Retreat

What can we say about this property other than perfect. Everything there as listed, spotlessly clean and comfortable, we cannot think of one negative thing. Infact one of the best Xmas and New year we have had. Highly recommend this beautiful house.

Idyllic Holiday Home for two

Great location for seeing Dinan, as everything is on the doorstep, literally. Well equipped home, perfect for a couple and comfortable. There are some stairs in the property up to the living room/kitchen and second bedroom, so be prepared when taking shopping upstairs. A lovely little park outside the front door with views down to the port of Dinan. Plenty of restaurants and a good market on Thursdays. Well recommended holiday home.

Quiet and beautiful spot in the centre of Dinan

Small three storey house overlooking the basilica and English garden. Kitchen and living room on first floor approached by open tread staircase which did not deter our cocker spaniel. Bathroom next to bedroom on ground floor was filled by a huge bath, difficult to negotiate! Owner, Jacci, was very helpful with driving instructions and parking.

Wonderful stay

Excellent location next to a 1000 year old beautiful basilica. Located close to everything in Dinan and also reasonable drives to places like Normandy, Mont St Michael, San Malo. We rented E bikes in Dinard for a great ride to beach and a castle. Strongly recommend!

On en garde un excellent souvenir

Nous étions trois adultes (un couple), moi et ma petite chienne Betty (pinscher nain). Le couple (des Américains) était très bien impressionné. Ils ont occupé la chambre du rez-de-chaussée et moi, celle du haut (plus petite mais beaucoup mieux aérée et très claire). Le seul hic c’était les escaliers que mon petit chien ne pouvait pas monter mais j’ai très rarement eu une location aussi bien équipée. Il ne manquait plus qu’une cafetière électrique. Emplacement idéal!

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Aufenthalt in Dinan

Das kleine charmante Haus über drei Etagen ist sehr gut eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt außer an etwas mehr Sonne. Cecily, unsere Kontaktperson vor Ort, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Dinan ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert. Da eine Anreise während der „Fête des remparts“ fast unmöglich ist, durften wir am Vorabend anreisen. Wir hatten zwei Tage lang direkten Zugang zu einem der Hotspots des Mittelalter-Festivals, ohne Schlange zu stehen. Hinterher haben wir die Ruhe des „Jardin Anglais“ umso mehr genossen. Dann ist die Stadt mit ihren Kneipen und Restaurants lebendig aber nicht laut, sondern entspannt und gelassen - fast mediterran. Das Tal der Rence ist am besten mit dem Rad auf dem Treidelpfad zu erschließen.

Brittany is so close to home and yet so far away. Brittany Ferries operate regularly to St Malo and then the drive to the house is just 30 minutes. Dinan is so lovely, so friendly and so historic. The house is in possibly the best location in the town. What more could we ask?

We sit in the living area on the first floor and never fail to pinch ourselves when we look out of the window at the view of the beautiful gardens and magnificent St Sauveur Basilica. Then in the evening we walk out to a bar or restaurant just a few minutes away. In nearly twenty years we have never tired of visiting.
