Quiet and Pretty location

We’ve stayed here twice and really enjoy it! Condo is in a quiet and semi private location. Owner is communicative. It is close to the park and a quick drive into downtown. The living room is really comfortable and the kitchen is pretty well stocked. We would stay again.

Check-in was seamless. Owners were responsive and answered questions. Location was perfect—between Harbor Springs and Petoskey right on Round Lake. Unit was clean but smelled musty and was a bit damp.

Amazing

Great place, right on the water with a little beach. Nice rooms each with there own bathroom. Really close to all the places we needed to go to for the wedding we were in town for. Also 4 mins from a state park where we went swimming in Michigan great lake...thanks again

Such an amazing location! We have 3 littles (ages 2, 4, and 7). This was our first vacation as a family of 5, and we were super nervous of logistics —especially on a beach trip that requires so much stuff. The location of the property made it effortless—you are so close to the beach that it took 5 minutes for us to get everyone out the door, and then one of us could walk back and forth as needed for the rest of the gear. Not only this, but the lake is gorgeous, warm, and shallow! I felt so safe with my kids in it. The location is amazing—10 minutes from downtown, maybe 3 minutes from the “big beach” (as my kids call it) at Petoskey State Park. Paul was super responsive and communicative throughout. Honestly it was an amazing trip and we are trying to figure out how to book for next year. It gave us so much confidence that we can travel in this era with young kids that is so challenging. Thank you for a great stay!

Perfect for our family

The second year in a row we had a wonderful time at this condo. We had an issue when we first arrived but Paul took care of it immediately. He was great to work with and the place is great for the six of us. Beautiful lake views, pool and hot tub after skiing was perfect.

Peaceful getaway

We loved our short time at Paul's home. It had everything we needed and was a lovely respite from the stay-home school/work our family has been experiencing. Our sons especially loved spending "after school" at Nub's Nob! Thanks for opening up your home to us.

Perfect vacation spot!

Our extended family of 7 stayed in this condo for a week. It was such a great location between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. We loved the close proximity to the market for necessities and the ice cream store for treats!! The indoor pool was a welcome change for the grandkids from the super hot weather we had. The A/C was a life saver given the hot week we had. We enjoyed the layout of the condo, with the well stocked kitchen, the availability of the laundry and the beautiful view. The boys had great success fishing, too. We hope to rent again next summer!!

Very musty smelling. That is my first impression. It was very clean. Updated furniture. Beds aren't to comfy. Has all you need in the kitchen, except spices. I slept in the basement level, there was a lot of noise that kept me awake some nights. Couldn't figure that out. Beautiful lake, just like the pictures. Walking distance to stores. Close to state park and down town. Would not stay again. Can't stand the damp, musty smell.

Phenomenal Petoskey

What a wonderful week in Petoskey. We had an excellent time relaxing on the quite Round Lake. Paul's condo was fabulous. Great views right on the waterfront. Very quiet and relaxing setting. The condo complex is wonderful. We went on numerous walks every day. Petoskey State Park is across the road and within walking distance. The accommodations were great. Everyone had a great time jet skiing, floating in the lake, walking around the complex and yes some financial donations at the casino. And the fly over by the military aircraft (one F-15 and 2- A10s) was an excellent bonus. The lake is quiet but lots of fun. We would most definitely recommend Paul's place, and look forward to staying next year. Can't say enough - a great vacation get-away. Recommend walking around the Bayview Association Neighborhood . Only thing in my opinion and only because I really don't like traffic - the traffic on US-31 is horrendous. But that's because everyone loves coming to Petoskey. Best Regards! The Hauger Ken Hauger

Great location, interior and amenities needs updating

The good: We stayed the weekend to ski at Boyne Highlands. The location was great. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the house has some good bones. It’s right on the lake, so in the summer, this would be beautiful. The owner was very friendly and nice to work with. The ugly: We have a few reasons for our overall average rating. The house and decor are quite a bit more outdated than you can tell from the photos. The living room couches seem to be from 1980 and all seating is cloth, not leather or vinyl which might clean up better between guests. While they look surprisingly good for their age, it’s time for some new couches and chairs in a non-cloth covering! In hind sight we read through previous comments and many commented that the furniture is old. I would add to that, it appears unclear because presumably many, many have sat in this couch over the years. A leather couch and dining room seating would work better here. We also struggled with some basics, there was just one 33 gal garbage bag for the weekend, no sponge to wash dishes, no laundry detergent, and only 4 towels that could be used for the pool (for a house that sleeps “9”). I would recommend adding a few amenities like this that might cost $10, but are absolutely expected when renting a house for the weekend at almost $1000, including fees. For our party of 8, we had to share pool towels! Also consider simple things, like putting in new hangars (they are all someone’s old dry cleaning hangars) - those will cost you about $10 from Walmart and getting rid of the family photos (they make you feel like you are staying in someone’s grandma’s house). Again, for this price point, the expectation is a level of quality. The house has great bones and would be top notch with the changes I recommended here. Please seriously consider getting a large stack of white bath towels (the red ones in the upstairs bathroom with some discoloration are gross actually) and providing pool towels (or ask guests to bring their own). Also consider leaving a snow shovel for the entry way. It got really icy due to a change in weather, and it would have been great to be able to clear the walkway.

Petoskey Gem

BEAUTIFUL property! Great space for multiple families or friends to have own sleeping space. Nice living and kitchen space. The grounds were well kept with ponds with water fountains. It was very relaxing to wake up to sunrise across the water.
