Welcome to your ideal getaway in Shelby, Michigan! This spacious 7-bedroom home, including 4 master suites and 6 bathrooms, comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests, making it perfect for large families or groups. Located just a 12-minute drive from the famous Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears Michigan, you’ll have easy access to hiking, boating, and fishing. The home is also a short 5-7 minute walk to shared Lake Michigan access, and with 2 kayaks provided.

The Space:
Along with the 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, the house also offers two spacious living rooms and fun games like pool and air hockey, giving everyone plenty of room to unwind and enjoy some friendly competition.

The property features a large outdoor seating area with a cozy fire pit, perfect for your morning cup of coffee or late night wine.

For your convenience, a starter kit of consumables and all basic amenities are provided, ensuring a stress-free and comfortable stay.

Situated close to several wedding venues, it’s also an ideal stay for wedding parties or guests.

Whether you're relaxing by the fire pit outside, exploring the nearby dunes, or enjoying time indoors, this home ensures there's something for everyone to enjoy during your stay.

This house was perfect! So many sleeping options, games, space to play and hang out, walk to the beach or a playground, large kitchen and countertops. 2 dishwashers! We felt comfortable and had so much fun!

Such a nice house for large groups. We loved the close walk to the beautiful beach and easy check out. Another great thing was how many bathrooms! When you can sleep a lot of people, it’s important to have many bathrooms too.

Lots of room for a crowd

With seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, we had more than enough room! One of the highlights was the private beach which was always almost completely deserted. The beach is about a half mile walk from the house, and our only issue was not having a parking pass to park there. The host at this property needs to figure that out so that guests can conveniently access the beach by car.

Our family group of 13 had a greater time at this house. Lots of room. nice deck, beautiful kitchen, kayaks, fire pit, pool and air hockey, walk to a gorgeous beach. We enjoyed many nearby activities - dune riding, tubing and kayaking, horseback riding, dairy farm tour, fishing excursion. A wonderful time being together!

Good location for winter getaway with friends

Enjoyed our time at the place. It’s a half mile walk to the water but pretty even in winter. Many rooms and lots of space for large groups. We had 4 couples in our group and plenty of rooms. Great price for a winter getaway. Stoney Lake Tavern nearby has great food too.

We had a really good time at Silver Lake Dunes Retreat. It was just the right size for our family of 12. The kitchen was very well supplied with appliances, pans and dishes plus 2 dish washers. We could not use the grill that was available. We enjoyed the game tables, and sitting around the fire pit every night. The beach was beautiful, although it was a 10 minute walk. The owner should have supplied a parking pass for the restricted parking area for transporting Grandma and our beach supplies.Cleaning could be improved. The fan in one of the south bedrooms is broken. Over all a very good experience. Loved tubing on Stoney Creek as a plus.

Easter break

Everything was great except a strong sewer smell and not very clean showers were dirty downstairs rugs were clearly not vacuumed. Just over all bad cleaning job but, The location and size of the house was great!

A bad end

Our stay was good to start. Good communication about a water issue at the property. The house was as described. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early because there were serious septic issues and there was raw sewage in the downstairs tube and in the garage. Communication was fine with the rental company about this, but they refused to refund a whole day for us, even though we had to leave.

We loved the house. It was great for our large family. The pros: large, good supply of dishes and utensils for large groups. The kayaks were enjoyed by my children and grand children. It was nice to sit outside in the evenings, and we enjoyed going on walks throughout the day.Cons: a minimum of one parking pass for the beach would be appreciated. There was a lot of driving back and forth to transport beach supplies, and for family that are unable to walk; it would be a benefit. The fire pit is in the front yard off to the side, not ideal for large groups. While the eye level parts of the home were clean, it could use a deep clean to address cobwebs ceiling fans, corners of rooms. I found a swim suit on the floor behind a stool in the large bathroom. Just paying more attention when cleaning would be a bonus and make an all over better impression. The dek areas are full of leaves and cobwebs, not very inviting. Lastly, with a house this size, it would be helpful to have 2 cooling units. To cool the upstairs where theajority of bedrooms are, you freeZe out the downstairs. All in all, we were happy with our stay, everyone had a great time. We would stay again. Thanks for sharing your home.

Could Use Better Maintenance

The house is spacious with plenty do within the home. Our large family gathered here this winter to celebrate a late Christmas together. Some of our disappointments included- The entire downstairs of the house had a difficult time heating up and staying warm. The upstairs was plenty warm. We were surprised to find some holes in the walls upstairs. The dishwashers worked, however the doors and drawers inside were broken. The bathroom in the downstairs had a clogged toilet that we were unable to unclog. In one of the bathrooms connected to the bedroom upstairs, the bath tub/shower would not drain, it seemed to take hours for the water do drain, in that same bathroom the toilet continued to run. We worked on the float/plunger several different times during our stay but it continued to randomly run. The toilet brush in this bathroom was completely filthy with dirty substances in the brush bristles. The floors throughout the house were not completely cleaned- there was sand, dust and hairs in spots around the house. The walls and ceilings (especially in the bedrooms) had dust and cobwebs around. The rugs through out the home were in great need of vacuuming/cleaning and washing. We washed one rug from the kitchen due to a spill and there was a significant difference in cleanliness when we placed it next to a matching rug. We appreciate being able to have a large home to make memories in, we would have appreciated better cleaning/maintenance around the house.
