Enter a large, inviting living room with 2-story windows, a fireplace, a TV, and cabinets filled with family games. The roomy kitchen, with an island, easily accommodates cooking for large groups and features an inviting nook for relaxation. The living room, dining, and keeping room open onto a large outdoor deck, perfect for grilling and relaxation, with stunning forest and mountain views throughout. This house captivates from the inside out!

The bright primary bedroom on the main floor offers a private retreat with a fireplace, ensuite bathroom, and king bed. Downstairs, a second comfortable living room with a fireplace and TV overlooks a lower deck, flanked by additional bedrooms. One side features a bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bath, while the other side has two bedrooms (one queen, one with two twin beds) sharing a full hall bath. Upstairs, two bedrooms (king and queen beds) share a bathroom and a loft area.

We (the family and I) had a fantastic time! This home is everything that is listed. Breath taking views, nice location and all the amenities you could imagine. We celebrated Thanksgiving here. I don't have a negative thing to say about this property!

Cabin was very open and spacious. Large, well stocked kitchen to easily cook for our big group. We planned to cook most meals since there are not alot of eating out options in the area. Plenty of sitting areas so we were able to spread out if we wanted to. Plenty of room to park the 5 vehicles we had.

What a wonderful house this was for our group of 14! We have been taking this Labor Day trip for 10 years and this is our favorite house yet! Tons of space and the best equipped kitchen ever! We highly recommend it!

No AC Sun. pm - Tues., temps up to 84 inside house. Sleeping, miserable. Finally cooled Wed. morning. The house needs an overall deep cleaning. Floors turned our kids feet black. The baby (crawler) had black on the tops of his feet after crawling. The 4 year old and 1 year old had black on the bottoms of their feet. Throw blankets and couch pillows smelled bad and stale, needed washing. One of the Bathroom shower heads had mold. Called Southern Comfort company and they came right out and cleaned it. Didn't have them stay for anything else as it was uncomfortable for us. Two bathrooms shower liners looked moldy or had stains. Kitchen so disorganized, hard to find things. Needed to use the hand mixer but it was coated with grease and crud so I just put it back. Drawers with crumbs, and one drawer had a sticky substance all on the bottom. Powder room, main floor had wash cloths and hand towels duct tapped around the pipes under the sink. The deck unwelcoming with torn furniture (could not sit in the chairs) other chairs were metal with no cushions too hot from sun and just hard and uncomfortable. Not enough for entire family to sit. The deck had massive amounts of spider webs caked in the corners and between the railings. We cleared some but gave up. Was going to cool the kids off on the deck but the water faucet didn't work, wouldn't turn on. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. The towels were new and clean.

Spacious and gorgeous home!

This is more than a “cabin” - it’s a wonderful space for a large group. Plenty of areas to gather together or separately over a weekend. Nice view with a treehouse feel. I highly recommend this one!

Sibling Trip

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone, spaces for everyone to park and the cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Big Canoe is such a beautiful place. We also visited Burt’s Farm and the nearby waterfall. My husband and I hope to return for a couple weekend soon.

Tennis ladies get away

House was wonderful.. very spacious with everything we needed… lots of space for group activities, and also little private areas where you can sit and relax, and read a book or drink a cuppa coffee. Kitchen had everything we needed, as well as enough basic supplies for a couple of days for the washing machine and dishwasher, garbage bags…. as well as non-perishable condiments, such as salt and pepper…. The ONLY issue we had was with all of the TVs…. and granted, it was probably OPERATOR ERROR by all of us senior ladies who are not always tech savvy…. All of the multiple TVs used Roku format which we weren’t used to, and the general instructions were rather vague. I did speak with the management company, who sent a gentleman to the house immediately to check all of the TVs, however, we were not at the house when he arrived so we did not get to interact with him face-to-face to learn more about the operation of the TVs. I suggested providing step-by-step, precise operating instructions near each TV, and labeling each remote for each specific TV, because the remotes did get mixed up according to the repair service. The management company was extremely pleasant and helpful, and wanted to make sure that our stay was comfortable and problem free. The lady also assured me that they examine every suggestion made, and try to implement whatever measures well benefit future guests. Our group of nine women certainly plan to return to this house again soon.

Wonderful weekend getaway for a group!

The house was absolutely beautiful and there was more than enough room for our party of 9 adults. The kitchen was also surprising well-equipped for a rental! The huge dining table was definitely a highlight. If your friend group loves board games, you’ll be delighted.

Perfection!

We came for a girls weekend and had a great time. The home was exceptionally clean and welcoming. We did have some issues finding the lockbox and getting the front door to lock, but none of the other reviews list this as an issue so I’m fairly certain it was user error. 😂 The important part is that when we were having issues, we were able to reach management immediately and they talked us through it. The water pressure was great, the back deck views were magnificent, and the beds were AMAZING. You can tell the owners care about the property and that guests enjoy themselves. Big Canoe is just magnificent, even in the winter when the trees are bare. The walking trails are an added definite plus. We met a few locals who were so helpful in directing us toward their favorite trails, which was so nice! Overall, we could not have been more pleased with our stay and we will be coming back for sure!

Group of Nine Women

We had a great time with lots of space for time together doing yoga, meditation and breath work but also spaces to spread out to enjoy alone time too. It’s a great house with a really sweet homey energy.

Great family place

It was a great place for young families! The baby bed in the closet was an added bonus! We had enough room for everyone in our group to have their own space. Look forward to staying again next year.

This was a super positive experience. I have never rented VRBO and was pleased with the outcome. As noted in the survey, the team was responsive, helpful, and polite. The size and layout of the house suited our needs perfectly! So much space that 12 of us were never once under each others feet. While at the same time it was NOT too much space. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The view was beautiful from the top deck. I sat out on the deck every morning and evening and in between. My favorite spot. No mosquitos or bugs. The hummingbirds visited us a few times. The bonus was a lower deck are a ls well. My brother and his family of 14 stayed in Big Canoe as well. They came over for dinner two nights. It was perfect. With 25 people, we never felt crowed. It was a perfect setting. The water was hot, the water pressure was good and everything worked. The decor was a little dated but everything was clean except for the coffee pot and there was a bit of dust on the furniture but not a problem at all. There are a lot of light switches, LOL. I wanted to label them. It also would have been nice for there to be more exit signs to the main gate exit on the way out. That’s a Big Canoe thing. Use google maps-not apple google maps. I got lost a couple of times going up and down and I have a good sense of direction. So many side streets. Overall, fantastic experience. I would rent again.

The home was beautiful and very comfortable

We had 8 adults and 3 other adults that visited during the day. The home was very spacious, comfortable and well laid out. The 3 bedrooms with King size beds was a huge plus. The view was incredible. Road to the house is a little scary if you are not use to narrow mountain roads but overall just a wonderful location. We would definely come here again if we are in the area.

A perfect vacation spot

Can’t say enough good things about this home and the Big Canoe area. Our entire family, including grandkids ages 2 to 11, had the greatest week. I would recommend this home to anyone.
