The Canoe House - Family/Elder Friendly 6 BE/4 BA - Clemson + Golf Outings

Consider this house your home away from home while you visit Lake Keowee. This gorgeous property (built in 2021 with renovations in Q1 2025) features 6 bedrooms (one is enclosed bonus room), including 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, and 10 twin beds. Home boasts a huge walkout basement (with all kinds of fun things to do) perfect for teens, full laundry room, a vast main floor covered porch overlooking the lake, and a cozy fireplace. Property includes kayaks, canoes, and covered outdoor living space. Enjoy swimming and fishing off the dock in our clear, deep water. Dock accommodates one watercraft if you bring one, and we even have a place for you to park your trailer. We work often from this house, and have 600MB internet throughout. The peaceful atmosphere of this house makes it the perfect retreat for families or groups looking to relax and enjoy their time together. We also have no HOA hoops you have to jump through or tiptoe around. Lastly, we have a well stocked kitchen and plenty of games/puzzles for all ages to enjoy.

We have been short term hosts on Lake Keowee since 2012, five star across the board in both of our previous listings.

Beautiful property with amazing views. The game room was a huge hit, as was the oversized covered deck which overlooked the lake and was equipped with a TV (perfect place to watch football).

Great property & great location, kitchen is well stocked which is huge for us because we cooked all of our meals. The twin room only had 2 mattresses as opposed to the 3 in the photo, in the bunk room the upper bunks weren’t made (to be fair I didn’t mention this to the host because it wasn’t an enormous deal just a slight hiccup). Over all a good experience.

Great Place on the lake!

We had a wonderful stay. The home is fully renovated and was beautiful. It is situated right on the lake and we really loved being there. The owner was great at responding to us with any questions and was so helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for Clemson games

We stayed here 2 weekends in a row for Clemson games. It is a great house to stay in with kids & teens. The view out of the kitchen/sun room is a beautiful backdrop for your morning coffee.

Weekend trip

Group of friends stay here for our fantasy football draft weekend. Plenty of space for everyone to eat, play video games, chill and play cards and sleep. Great house overall.

If you are looking for a place to stay in upstate SC, look no further. This is a brand new, immaculate home that is inviting and spacious. We stayed with 2 families, lots of kids, and it had more than enough room for everyone. The bunk room and basement bonus area was a favorite. The house has full accommodations, conveniently located with amazing lake views. The dock is fun for fishing or relaxing. The host (Mary) is so kind and excellent with communications. If you get the privilege to stay here, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed one bit. Everything was perfect.

Perfect Holiday Getaway!

We had an amazing time! This home was perfect in everyway. It was clean, well layout, plenty of linens and kitchen tools. The ping pong table was a great activity for our entire family! The lake was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful! The host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Great Lakehouse!

We enjoyed our stay! The lake is beautiful. The house was perfect for our needs. My husband and I took our elderly parents and teenaged boys for a last minute getaway. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out, and our parents were able to navigate the house with no problems. We had a great time.

Great Location and Family Home

This property was located perfectly on Lake Keowee, it was quiet and scenic. We enjoyed staying on this side of the Lake as it was easy to travel to most of the Waterfall and Hiking destinations very quickly saving 15-20min if we stayed in other locations. The house was great, clean, and had everything we needed. There was great space for the kids to play and they really enjoyed the bunk room. Great stay and would recommend to others.

Great Family Trip

We enjoyed our stay very much and our family made some great and fun memories. The cabin is beautiful and spacious, nicely decorated, with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathrooms are nicely done. Owners were prompt and responsive to communicate with. Location was great, very peaceful place. We would highly recommend this rental.

Great family house!

We gifted our adult children and their families with a Christmas in July vacation and selected this house for our family getaway. The house worked perfectly! Everyone had private space, along with shared spaces, like the kitchen and deck, that were perfect for all of us. We really enjoyed our stay at this well appointed house!

This is a beautiful home. It would have received all 5 stars except for the long no wake zone to the main body of the lake. The home is well equipped with tons of stuff to do! The short easy walk to the dock is hard to find.

Lake escape weekend

The house is located off of a nice quiet part of the lake. It is spacious and great for hanging out with family and friends. Close enough to commute to Clemson if desired. Lower level that is perfect for playing games like ping pong. We had a relaxing weekend here!

We're a family of five from North Carolina. Lake Keowee has been our family's "happy place" since 2012. Time moves slower here, and there's no better place to relax and connect with family. We are midwesterners originally and cheer for Purdue (our alma matter), Clemson (of course), and now Chapel Hill!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This is in the best part of the lake, surrounded by other gorgeous newer homes and convenient to everything Seneca/Clemson have to offer. We have no HOA, so you don't have to jump through hoops or books of rules while trying to enjoy the lake. Our neighbors are kind, mostly permanent residents, and as long as you respect them and their spaces, you'll have a great time!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our home vibe is "comfortable". You'll actually feel good here and won't feel on edge in our home. We also pay attention to detail; our home isn't full of leftover family furniture from decades ago (as are so many rentals). Almost everything is brand new as of 2024. We want you to feel up to date, relevant, and comfortable while on vacation. Our property is unique because it's not part of a neighborhood, (many of which have older permanent residents who frankly loathe renters and watch them like hawks). We respect our neighbors and expect guests to, too, but it's just a house on the lake when you're here, and it's ALL yours. We're ten minutes to the marina, ten minutes to ice cream/gas, and five minutes to the Lighthouse Restaurant. By car, we're just five minutes from a gas station, liquor store, and Dollar General, and just ten minutes to literally everything else. Clemson is a quick 20 minute drive door-to-door. Awesome hiking to 100' waterfalls is just fifteen minutes away!
