I truly enjoyed my stay at the Tropical Hawaiian Theme Family Resort house! Don was extremely kind and understanding. I was in town introducing my significant other to my family for the first time, after not having been home myself for almost 5 years, AND it was his first time in California; so we were gone most of the time exploring Sequoia National Park, Disneyland, and seeing all the sites, however there was one special night where Don allowed my family to gather so I had the space and opportunity to host a First Annual Family Karaoke Talent Show, singing 70s and 80s sitcom theme songs. It was hilarious seeing my nieces and nephews (2 years to 23 years old) belting out Full House, Family Ties, and All in the Family with my mom and 4 year old adopted baby sister nailing Golden Girls! I couldn't have asked for a better end to my year after such a long hiatus. Overall, words can't express how much it meant to be able to get my family in one room and I truly appreciate Don and his home for having the space and flexibility to experience such a special evening. We enjoyed the pool table, it was too cold to swim but the littles were able to dip their toes in. The family enjoyed the fire pit out back, the swing chair, and although we didn't have time to enjoy all of the amenities offered, I'd love the opportunity to in the future. This was my first time booking through VRBO and I'm very blessed to have had a seamless, no drama, family fun-filled, amazing experience.

Could have been better

When we first got there I found a pill on the floor right in the front walkway, he acted like it was no big deal. My daughters were upstairs putting away their things and in one of the drawers there was a syringe found and loose pills. She told me and I said to keep the baby out of that area. I noticed as I went along that his home was not as clean as he claimed it was supposed to be. That evening there was a drive-by shooting on the next street over, the next morning my daughter was leaving there was a woman with a suitcase, and a couple other items just sitting on the porch in the chair. My daughter asked her what are you doing here you need to leave. she says oh well I’m looking for the owner. I didn’t realize the house was rented out. She then got on her phone called an Uber and walked a few houses down. That morning, another syringe was found underneath the bed in the room I was in. The day we left, the house was much cleaner than when we got there. I left a package on his counter and one of the syringes that was found on a paper towel. I thought for sure that he would contact me and he never mentioned it. He contacted me and told me that next time I would have no cleaning fees I then asked if I could just have no cleaning fees this time as there wouldn’t be another time. He told me no and i finally mentioned the syringes said, “They aren’t mine,I don’t use them, I can’t help the cleaning girls missed them” Totally unacceptable.

A Southern California oasis

This property was delightfully tucked away up against an undeveloped hill side. There was absolutely zero city noise at night. MyFamily is from small town USA and this was an excellent intermediary between the hustle of Southern California suburbia and what we are used to. Would definitely stay again!

Family Vacation

Property was as shown on the site. Gorgeous! The house has a pool table and dartboard game that we enjoyed. Three bedrooms upstairs with everything in the bathrooms we needed. The star of the home is the backyard. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Many comfortable chairs in or out of the sun. We sat around the pool and around the fire pit. We played many games of cornhole and used the putting green. Very easily could hook up or phones to the music outside speakers, and inside speakers. My daughter and I found the path and hiked the hill behind the house. Wonderful views! Drove to Temecula one day for some winery tours. Not far and well worth the visit. Donald was a perfect host. He replied to every message I sent within the hour. He even allowed me to have some packages delivered to the house for my grandson's birthday. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Great house!

Owner Don was super nice and helpful! House looked just like pictures and kids had a great time in the backyard and playing pool/darts. Came out for a soccer showcase at SilverLakes and it was very close.

Home Sweet Home near Riverside!!!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Don’s property during 2024 Labor Day weekend. Close to many restaurants & shopping centers. The home is fully furnished and with various family amenities that we fully used during our stay. Don was fully attentive to our needs & the home is in a peaceful neighborhood.

Fabulous stay for soccer tournament

My family rented this home for about 6 days when our daughter had a soccer tournament at the SilverLakes Sports Complex. The house turned out to be very close to the fields (about 10 minutes drive) which was great for the early moring games. I communicated with the owner of the home beforehand about hosting a team party at the house and he was very nice about it. Everything you could want to host an amazing get together is provided at the house - a lovely pool (we even found a volleyball net & ball and set it up for the girls to play some pool volleyball); an outdoor grill, a pile of clean pool towels, a little putting green that some girl played on, and lots of seating and shade (it was in the 100s during the day). The owner, Don is local and very helpful - I think he lives at the house sometimes when it is not rented out - so the kitchen and every other part of the house is full of all of the little everyday things that you need - we made one grocery run and were set for the week. Oh and most importantly the house is clean (priority #1) and the air conditioning worked great and kept the entire house very cool in some serious heat. We will definitely come back next year! Thanks for a great stay!

Norco Soccer Stay

We stayed for a soccer tournament in nearby Norco. Fields are 10 mins away so that’s great. Place is great! Quiet neighborhood, safe area. Very clean, spotless actually. All the stuff works and is easy to use. Intuitive hot tub / pool controls. TV remotes are simple. It’s annoying to spend a weekend figuring out technology and you won’t do that here. Well equipped kitchen, but I wish there was a Keurig. I left behind some new darts and tips because they needed an upgrade. Pay it forward with a Keurig :) Host (Don) is fantastic. Friendly, responsive and thoughtful. We will be back for the finals in a few months!

Excellent Adventure

The property was in a great quiet convenient location and had all the bells and whistles to entertain our group. Pool table, hot tub, fire pit for evening chats. All good. And the property owner was incredibly responsive to any concern we had. Would stay again. Walking paths out the back and riding stable a mile away. Something for everyone!

Excellence is an understatement!

The owner's go all out to make it feel like a private retreat. We walked in to beautifully lit house and yard! A perfectly racked pool table. The bedding and towels nicely displayed, convenient, and clean. there were too many convenience items to list, They even left a few new toothbrushes and toothpaste in case you forgot yours. as well as hair dryer"s , body ,wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. It had a well stocked supply of dishes and baking pan's, basics like salt and pepper, as well as a keurig a machine with a selection of coffee pods. I held my fathers 93 year old Birthday celebration there. It was so perfect. He said it was the best party he had been to. And that is saying something coming from him. It was the perfect place to connect with my family. It had something for everyone's interest. soft tip darts, pool table, swimming, soaking in the hot tub,, your own private mini gulf, and so much more. It was just amazing! . Honestly, I was sorry I booked Disney tickets. I wanted to spend more time enjoying the house.

Really amazing place, it was like a spa meets a man cave

The owner was super nice gave us a tour, Definitely necessary I will take notes because there are a lot of different remotes, whenever it comes to operating things like a hot tub, Certain lights in the backyard and everything else …TV sound system. The pool is lovely you won’t rub out of things to do at this house it was a great place for me and my friends to hang out after a night out . I would definitely book again in a heartbeat.

Pictures don't do it justice!!

Great home and people. Were lucky enough to meet both Don and his daughter Dawn. They were great and very attentive. The home is perfect for a nice and fun getaway. Pool and hottub were great and Don was super communicative prior to our arrival and had both heated and ready to go upon arrival. Ton of other things to do in this lovely home with that awesome pool table in the main room. The bar in there is so cool !!! Tiki theme around the backyard and home are very inviting and relaxing. Family had a great time and we will be back to enjoy the home again. Great host and home can not say enough about him and his home. And just in case you were wondering the pictures do not do it justice it really is a great spot!! Congrats to Don by the way, he and his son finished 2nd at a cornhole tournament that weekend and were playing the finals again the next night...still checked in to make sure we were good and made time for us!! 10/10!!!

True home away from home.

Nice home with lots of activities in the house as advertised. No need to venture out, but if you do, minutes from shopping centers and lots of fun outdoor activities. The owner, Don, was very personable and very responsive. Two things I would caution renters 1) make sure to leave the house exactly as-is (literally). I was fined additional cleaning fees by not putting away the dishes and dirty linen left on the floor in the washer/dryer room. This was odd to me as I did not partied in the house and the dishes were washed VERY well but left in the dishwasher. As for linens, many homes I rented would ask soil linens to be left near the washer. 2) Not a good place for people who have seasonal allergies. That being said, each home has its own rules which should be respected. My fault for not reading the fine prints. I did not contest the additional charges and still feel positive on the vacation home.

Amazing from start to finish. Perfect for our Destination Wedding. The icing on the cake

A perfect way to have a home away from home for our son's destination wedding. Our host worked with us through COVID and 3 date changes. The property was gorgeous. Everything was spotless and well maintained. We were able to decorate for the rehearsal dinner and host 50 people easily in the backyard. It was a perfect spot for our family and other wedding guests to stop by and just hang out. The backyard was beautiful and we were able to sit and relax outside in the shade, swim when it was hot, and jacuzzi when it was cold. The firepit was the perfect ending to every night. There were many different things to do which were wonderful since the age of our "guests" ranged from 9 months to 90 years. The host could not have been more kind and professional at the same time. He was ready to help at a moment's notice but otherwise left us alone in our "home". Everyone complimented the grounds and home. I was proud to host my family and my son's future family. Don is amazing and so is his home. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to come back

Renter beware - blank check rental

If the deposit feels like a red flag, you've got good intuition! Owner petty and looking for any reason to keep your money. Overstate your guest count for 2 reasons: 1. Marginal difference in total amount at initial vrbo booking, but owner will charge you arm and a leg for each additional person (he has cameras everywhere and he watches them), 2. Owner calculates arbitrary "utility usage allowance per person", anything over his "number" he takes out of your deposit. I shielded family from the crazy all week so they had a good time. I did NOT: was following everyone and turning off lights, AC, pool/hot tub all week, feeling uneasy under all the cameras in my bathing suit because I got a very uneasy feeling from owner. End of the day, he claimed my entire deposit because he confused me with another renter he was in conflict with, had this 6 mo preggo mama freaking out for an entire day before he reversed the claim, he still kept a portion which he never accounted for. Didn't even fight him on that bit because I was so tired of dealing with him. Such a shame because the house and grounds were lovely, but owner is not worth the hassle! Plenty of houses with pools and hot tubs in SoCal!

Don, seems nice at 1st then later accuse of you false accusations. So he can keep your deposit.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 EVERYONE BEWARE!! I’m not the only renter that Don did this to. My family and I recently stayed here June for my nieces graduation party. So, I’ve never rented a house before on VRBO this is my 1st time. After I paid and booked my stay for 5 nights. Don and I have been texting and talking on the phone, about numbers of guest, I mistakenly added less guest (I didn’t know how to go back to change it) so Don, said “it’s ok, just bring cash for extra guests) which I did. Long story sort. The property is beautiful, it’s nice and clean. The whole time my family and I was there, he’ll pop up. Only once he gave me a heads up. The other time he’ll come water his plants. While intoxicated had to grab him a few time almost falling into the pool. Long story short. If you’re planning on staying here, just know he’ll make up story’s and keep your deposit and damages fee. I’m getting authorities Involved and my lawyer is building a case to have him shut down. He have plenty of criminal charges that us (renters) should be aware of. The only damage I had, when my son ran into the screen. Didn’t brake it, the screen wire just need to be fixed. That’s an easy fix, just line it back in there, I told him my husband can fix it. He insisted, it’s no big deal, he’ll take care of it (free of charge) then he comes the next day. Said I owe him 😡😡. He Offer us weed (li how professional is this guy) that’s what drew the line. I ended up checking out a day early. Saturday night I had my family and I cleaned for 4hr straight top to bottom. Mopped, scrubbed also vacuumed etc. I probably did more than others renters. Only so it’ll be less work for him. Then he wasn’t happy with that. We washed all his towels. Only left our beddings behind, then I get hit. Why is there so much sheets for him to wash. My experience was HORRIBLE!! I just want to warn everyone out there. I just WANT my deposit/damages back. I paid for 5 nights, do I get my refund Since I stayed 4 nights?? I’ve emailed to corporate, no response yet.

Home away from home

Property met and exceeded my expectations. In light of the coronavirus outbreak, I expressed my concern with Don and he assured me that the house would be disinfected top to bottom and left us sanitizing wipes just in case. The lighting at night in the backyard was beautiful. Our doggies had a great time running and playing in the fenced backyard. I can't wait to stay here again with more family. Thanks again Don!

Another Great Stay

Our first visit to Don’s home was 4 or 5 years ago, the house then was top notch, just as advertised. Flash forward to our most recent stay, if it’s possible the house is even better. We host Thanksgiving at the house for 20 family members, who live in the area. The kitchen and entertaining areas are beautifully outfitted with everything you need to be good hosts. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. If you are looking for a vacation home look no further.

I'm excited I can provide a home away from home for travelers who are tired of staying in hotels, where the pool closes, you share the grounds, pool/jacuzzi common areas with many, sometimes ...undesireable people, you pay for nightly parking and get charged extra for movies. You will not be dissapointed with this home, it will live up to any of your expectations. The SILVER LAKES SPORT AND EVENT COMPLEX is just 8 minutes away

You will love the openess of the surrounding area, The Mountains it backs up to, miFreeflowing open floor plan, Super comfortable pillow top bed's with luxery sheets and the very private tropical backyard landscaping with automatic outdoor Ambient lighting front and rear, also an 11' umbrella with LED Lights, and of course the FIREPIT right next to the Jacuzzi.
The two BBQ's 1 gas and 1 charcoal provide a great cooking experiance outside while watching your favorite sporting event, favorite show or listining to your favorite music. Flat screen TV's in every room including outside patio area right next to the Pool/Jacuzzi/Firepit with BLUETOOTH sound systems thoughout. Game Room with Pool table/ping pong table, Electronic Dart board, Tiki Bar!
This home is perfect for Family reunions, small weddings/receptions, birthdays, and business gatherings, or anyone that prefers a private Awesome, FUN Home over a Hotel, additional charges for any events or additional invitees not on the rental agreement.
My pool and Jacuzzi never close.
Quiet time outside is 11:00 p.m.- 8:00 a.m.
Additional charges apply for additional guests over the 6 included for your rental. There are hiking trails just outside the front door and a Wildlife area just a 1/4 mile away that has miles hiking/biking a nature center and the Santa Ana river.
Horse rentals are 1/2 mile, Silver Lakes Sport Complex just 8 minutes away!
There are also three country bars about a mile away, The Water wheel for line dancing with free lessons, Great food and Karaoke at the Saddle Sore Saloon& Dancing for the whole family, and of course Mavricks that has live music for the younger crowd.
Home will not fail to live up to your expectations for an outstanding home away from home experiance with life time memories. Many Guests return year after year with their family's.

You can be soaking in the Jacuzzi with the outside 42" smart tv or Bluetooth sound system watching your favorite movie, sporting event, or maybe just your favorite music playing, the fire pit lit just 4' away enjoying the ambiance with the many malibu/solor lights in this large, tropical, very private back yard paradise.
You can just melt away with a glass of wine soaking in the jacuzzi watching your favorite movie or sporting event while the kids play in the pool, the custom granite fire/ice firepit is glowing just a few feet away Your furry friends invited to share the family experiance for an additional $50.00 per night per dog, however only with owners approval prior to arrival and must be on the inquiry.
