Una cabaña con vista

Construido en 2011 con el compromiso de una belleza simple y armonía con su entorno natural, esta cabaña fue diseñada por mi hermana arquitecta con el aporte de nuestra familia. Con su lujo discreto, conserva el delicado espíritu de la naturaleza apalache y presenta el trabajo de artistas y artesanos del valle del Celo.
Nuestra cabina tiene tres dormitorios y un altillo y tiene capacidad para 6 personas cómodamente. La gran cubierta parcialmente cubierta ofrece vistas majestuosas y brisas frescas, incluso en verano.
Si desea una verdadera experiencia de montaña, con todos los lujos de una cabaña moderna y bellamente decorada, este es el lugar.

My family stayed 8 nights over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful and so peaceful. We hiked every day and got to enjoy the town of Burnsville as well. This is an amazing place!

Great place in the Black Mountains

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the 4th of July at Cabin with a view. Cool house with amazing views. We appreciated the local guides provided after booking and at the house. Endless outdoor fun to be had by all around the cabin or within 30 minutes drive. We will be back!

Fantastic place!

We had the best stay in this house. Gorgeous inside and out. Well cared for and well-stocked. High quality bedding and furniture. Beautiful view. Peaceful. Our kids loved playing in the loft, our dogs loved running outside. We loved gazing at the view and sitting on the porch. Helpful and communicative owners.

Beautiful and secluded cabin

This is a beautiful cabin, tucked away in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. There is a well-equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, and a large dining room table at which to eat your meals. The cabin was very clean, and all the linens and towels were nice and soft. The view from the main windows and the deck was absolutely stunning. The gravel road to get to the house is pretty steep, and our Prius had trouble with certain spots on the road. We had to change over to power mode to make it all the way up. Any car or truck with AWD should be fine though. Make sure to use Apple Maps to get there, or the directions from Shelli, but don't use Waze or Google Maps or you'll get a little bit lost. All in all it was a great stay, and we would definitely stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Very relaxing cabin

The cabin had a nice, easy flow to it. We were immediately comfortable. The long range views from the deck were amazing, and the tv loft was very comfortable. The ability to have music playing throughout the cabin via the centralized music system was a fanatastic extra that we were not anticipating!

A Sweet Retreat!

What a fantastic location for a Valentines weekend! This is our fourth stay and this property never disappoints. Not only is the cabin beautifully appointed, the views from the cabin are breathtaking. We had every amenity we needed including a wonderful fireplace with an ample supply of firewood to chase away the winter chill. One day we awoke to a light dusting of snow that quickly melted in the sunshine. On our last night we retreated to the loft area to cheer on our favorite team for Super Bowl in a comfy setting. If you want to explore the beautiful mountains surrounding Asheville and Asheville and Biltmore Estate this cabin is a true find.

Best Cabin Ever

Perfect Mountain Cabin

Exactly as described, clean and excellent communication along with tons of local information and precise directions to the cabin. The views are amazing from every single window and deck. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable and perfect for relaxing. Close to many hikes. We enjoyed every minute.

This cabin was beautiful!

Our family had an amazing week over Thanksgiving! The location is excellent! It’s close to great fly fishing and hiking! Great remote cabin feel but not to far from downtown Burnsville. It’s a beautiful cabin inside and out!

Solitude and Peaceful

Beautiful house in all respects, unique design and atmosphere - owners extremely helpful and responsive as well as property manager. Very remote and secluded with challenging access road. Ideal location for solitude and serenity in beautiful setting with spectacular view and total relaxation. Easy access to all area attractions.

Peaceful mountain stay

The cabin/house is exactly as shown on VRBO. It is lovely and had everything we needed for a 1 week stay. It is close to markets etc and a little town (Burnsville). The last bit up the mountain to the house is steep switchbacks on gravel road (relevant for choice of vehicle). One of the owners (Susi) was super responsive and helpful. Great VRBO stay.

Serene and Peaceful

This lovely spot was a welcome place for us to spend 3 nights celebrating a friend's 75th birthday. We loved the amazing view and it was oh so quiet! Beds were comfortable and all supplies were available as promised. We could not get the TV to work, but this was not a big issue for us, as we entertained ourselves with cards (we brought) and games (we also brought). Travelers need to be aware that the gravel road to the home is QUITE steep. We did not have rain, but I expect that our front-wheel drive car would have had issues if it had rained or if the weather were icy. All in all, a great stay.

Absolutely Darling

We recently stayed at the Cabin with a View, it was perfect for our holiday weekend, my husband really appreciated the kitchen (the cleanliness and ample supplies in the kitchen, he's the cook) and I really enjoyed the view from the cabin. Thank you!

Great cabin-very convenient to Mt Mitchell area

We always enjoy our stay at your cabin. Everything is laid out so well. Open area for kitchen, den & dinning area with a huge wall of windows to capture the beautiful views. This was our first time to be there when the gorgeous rhododendron were blooming!

Great mountain retreat

This mountain home is amazing! The views are breathtaking , and the architecture of the home is beautiful. We spent our Anniversary weekend here, and it was everything we hoped it would be. Our favorite part was building a real fire in the gorgeous stone fireplace in the evening, and enjoying our morning coffee with the mountain views. The home was immaculate which was a bonus. I highly recommend this mountain retreat! A true relaxing getaway.

Wonderful spring getaway

We so enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It’s a beautiful setting and was just what we needed for a week away. The cabin is gorgeous and outfitted perfectly. There are plenty of things to do - we visited the “secret” waterfall plus Setrock Falls, Linville Falls and Roaring Fork falls. We poked around Burnsville, Spruce Pine and Little Switzerland. Toured the Biltmore estate and went to the top of Mt Mitchell. Highly recommend Linville Falls Winery for a tasting. My only recommendation would be to bring a white noise machine or fan if you are a light sleeper because the sound of barking dogs echoing in the mountains did keep me up one night. However our own dog (a non barker) was not bothered! Thank you for the information on things to do in the area — we loved your fantastic cabin with a view!

In the Fall, the colors are beautiful and remind us of where we grew up in southern Ontario, Canada and Bavaria, Germany!

My husband and I bought our cabin in 2006 and immediately fell in love with the people and surroundings of the South Toe Valley. Five years later we joined with my architect sister and her husband to build this new, beautiful Cabin with a View on the neighboring property, so now more people can experience the beauty of this area. We hope you will join us soon!

Hiking from the Cabin (easy walking and/or more intense hikes), cycling on little travelled country & mountain roads, rock climbing, gem mining, fishing, swimming in S.Toe River - this property has it all.
The Cabin (Elev. 3200 ft) with its astounding views of the S.Toe River Valley and the Black Mountains is within walking distance of the Pisgah National Forest. You can hike all the way to Mt. Mitchell and never get in a car!
