The Oak Meadows Guest House
The Oak Meadows Guest House is a wonderful private retreat for your Yosemite Vacation with end of the road privacy. Located just outside of the Historical town of Mariposa, it is a quiet and peaceful environment, surrounded by oak woodlands. It is a beautiful 45 minute drive following the scenic Merced River to Yosemite’s Arch Rock Entrance Station.
The Oak Meadows Guest House is newly renovated in a minimalistic style with everything you need for a getaway with your favorite someone. You will discover that The Guest House features a very comfortable and open living/dining/kitchen area featuring abundant windows that fill the space with natural light while providing delightful views. The stained concrete floor is a beautiful and cooling blue-green color that also provides radiant heating during the winter months.
A wonderful new amenity at the Guest House is the private stone patio with a cedar hot tub, barbeque, and dining area just outside the bedroom door that encourages you to slow down and deeply relax into this vacation.

Surrounded by open Sierra Foothills, the feeling is remote, while being only one mile from the town of Mariposa. There is a day pack or two in the entry closet available for you to use during your stay. (Please return it after your day trip for future guests to use)

Propietario/a: Kathy Rufo
I’m originally from Philadelphia and moved to Yosemite in 1978. I worked for the National Park Service in Yosemite, for 27 years. I started out working on a trail crew and lived all summer in the backcountry of the Park for many years. I came down from the mountains when I was blessed with children and joined the Utilities Department taking care of the water systems throughout the Park.
I left the Park Service in 2007 to develop this property with my son and brother.
I’m retired now, and have spent every summer in the Czech Republic since 2010 and make my home available to folks from around the world that come to experience Yosemite.
I currently mentor teen boys on their way to manhood while in the Czech Republic and find that work incredibly fulfilling.
