Totalmente renovado, 3,000 pies cuadrados, cinco dormitorios, 1926 Beach Cottage - Capacidad para 11 personas en el histórico y encantador Miller Beach, a solo 45 minutos del centro de Chicago ya cinco minutos de la estación Miller del tren South Shore.

Great Place - a real home

My husband and I had a long weekend stay and invited some family for part of the weekend. Upon entering, you get a great home feel. The home was clean and had ample space. The beach and park access were terrific. Communication with the host was very easy. We had a few cool evenings and even took advantage of the fireplace (amazing!). Great kitchen with plenty of plates/pans/pots/bowls - you name it! We also used the grill and purchased a little grill cleaner (scraper) for future guests. this is a great area for family and froends and an incredibly welcoming neighborhood. We recommend the Flamingo for a laid back atmosphere with really good prices and in town check out Indie Indie Bang Bang, Anna's Kombucha Cafe and the Captain's House on a Friday night for one of the best Crab Boil dinners!!

Long Weekend with the Family

This spacious cottage was a nice base for our family’s visit to the Indiana Dunes. The large living area and finished lower level made it comfortable for everyone to spend time together or spread out and do their own thing. The kitchen was well equipped and the updated clean bathrooms offered all the necessities. The beach and Marquette Park were a short walk from the cottage. We highly recommend Tequila and Tacos! Good Fun

Had a great stay in Miller Beach. Phoebe was an excellent host and was very accommodating. Her correspondence was EXCELLENT, getting back to us with anything we needed. The house was large, with lots of space for our family of 10. The kitchen was well stocked and lots of places to sit and eat. Perfect place for our vacation to the Indiana Dunes. And a little plug for Miller Beach. This place is a little known secret to most everyone in Indiana. Chicago is getting wise to its potential, as property is getting bought up quickly. Book your vacation now while it's affordable. Give it 5 years, and this place will be the next Saugatuck, MI!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay, great property owner. I would highly recommend staying here! It's a short walk to the beach. There's a playground close by, and a short drive to Michigan City. Very quiet neighborhood. The house is fully stocked.

Great home

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Phoebe was very helpful and understands the needs of renters. Plenty of towels, extra toiletries, well stocked kitchen. The house although looks small from the outside is very large inside. Clean. The beach is very nice and a short walk away. Would recommend this house to others.

So much room and easy walk to the beach

Great stay here. Clean, spacious, and well appointed. Owner was very responsive to messages along the way. Easy walk to the beach. Great front porch to hang out on with friends. The house is much larger than it appears in the front picture with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a larger group.

A fine quality beach home for our family reunion

The property served our family well. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. The kids were able to be downstairs with one in the couch. Adults all upstairs. Unfortunately the ‘bunk room’ not really suitable for adults as the bed/mattress not super comfortable. The kitchen well stocked for our group size. Table fit 9 of us. There was plenty of paper goods, soaps etc Making it easy to come without having to pack all that. The beach is not too far. The path on the sand is longer but fine . Kids loved being a walk rather than a drive away from the beach. Phoebe was available and helpful and great communicator.

Great place for a great vacation

The Cottage is beautiful and so much bigger than it looks from the front. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. We had one incident that was quickly taken care of by Ms. Phoebe Sildon. Very nice lady, who was interested in our having everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. Just a short distance to the beach. I have already recommended to other family and friends.

Exactly as advertised.

The owner has thought of everything. House has HBO and Showtime (Dish). Well stocked kitchen. 40' x 40' fenced in backyard for keeping pets and kiddos safe. Safe, QUIET neighborhood. 90 second walk to path that leads to beach. Miller beach park is about 2 minutes by car ($7 per car for out of towners).

Lots of room to relax!

Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Well equipped kitchen, also beach toys, beach towels. Phoebe was a great host and attentive to our questions as well as offering suggestions. Short walk to path to the beach. Also close to Marquette Park. Neighborhood very quiet - which we liked. Wonderful stay!

Lots of space: close to the beach and Chicago

We had a lovely time Memorial Day weekend. The house itself has plenty of space to spread out, and is equipped with everything you need. The beach is an easy walk and is nice and quiet: we took full advantage in the 90 degree heat! The owner was responsive, both in advance of and during our stay.

Lots of space in Gary

This was a great spot for our film crew to rest in between shoot days! We actually caught a beautiful sunset just a few blocks away, with Chicago in the background. It was a bit chilly during our stay, but I can imagine it's quite nice during the summer when people are at the beach. Thanks for hosting us in Gary!

This House Is Huge :-)

Do not be fooled by the small frame of this home. It is really large and just as described. The place is clean and has everything you need. Everything has been upgraded and Phoebe is a premier host. She is very accommodating and goes out of her way to make sure you're taken car of. Quiet block ... Great stay!!

Great home nestled in Miller Beach

Huge vacation home with all you need to enjoy a beach vacation on Lake Michigan. A two minute walk to beach, quiet neighborhood, and pet friendly. Perfect for large families seeking a getaway or a large group of friends. Owner is overly accommodating - you are sure to have a great time. Great for kids too!

Very nice with a lot of room

The house is well stocked with all you need to enjoy your time away from home. The owner was quick to respond to all my questions and/or concerns. The beach is just a short walk away. We had a bonus of the Gary air show the first weekend. Not the owners fault but Gary could clean up the beach after the airshow a little quicker. For you boaters, I did find out that you can park a boat inside the swim bouys, you just have to pull straight in and at idle (one of the owners unknown questions). Portage has a great launch ramp and if you have jet skiis, Miller beach has a ramp also and it is only 5 minutes away. The front porch was a great place to sit and talk with plenty of room and chairs for everybody. Our group grew from 6 to 10 and there was room for everybody! The AC was good and cold when we wanted to be inside. There is plenty of parking and its easy to get in and out of the neighborhood. We are already thinking about staying again next year! Oh, and the dogs had a great time too! They love the beach! Overall this is a great place!

A community of hope, rest, relaxation and beauty.

Miller Beach, Indiana was just what the doctor ordered!! My husband and myself throughly enjoyed our time away at Miller Beach, Indiana! Vacations are always wonderful for recharging our batteries. We loved our time away and absolutely fell in love with "the vibe" and "the rhythm" of life in the neatly tucked away community of Miller's Beach, Indiana. Their community, spirit and diversity affected my soul and heart by quieting my own inner restlessness and longings. Thank you so much for God's people and beauty in Miller Beach, Indiana! You are a hopeful community! And the property owner was fabulous, wonderful, comfortable accommodations all with a few extra touches that makes a person feel right at home. The Maple Avenue Cottage is ideally located on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach. Beach is clean and not crowded. Low street traffic even during the summer months proves a peaceful atmosphere. The house itself is well built with plenty of space for your extended family and friends to spread out. The bedrooms are surprisingly quiet and spacious.

Miller Beach is ideal due to its close proximity to Chicago, relaxed atmosphere and many activities in the area. Coffee shop, pizza and a restaurant are all clustered just over half a mile away - perfect distance for an early morning or evening stroll. This is truly a low stress vacation opportunity.
