Great Vacation House

Great property for a large group. So much better than being in town and stuck in hotel rooms. House was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great bunkhouse in the San Juan mountains

This was our 3rd year and we loved every minute as always. The bunk house has an incredible view of Cunningham gulch. We can’t wait for the 4th stay!

We had a great stay. A few things to note. This place is VERY remote, no WIFI of cell signal. Bring your Starlink! It is a few miles up a bumpy road with drop offs to the side. The house is obviously very old, and the inside is a little dated. No worries! There are a lot of mine debris in the yard, and the driveway is steep and the turn at the top is not suitable for long trailers. We did have some issues with mice in the house, but given the mountain location, this is to be expected. You have to pack your trash out, but there are a few spots in Silverton to get rid of it. Walking out first thing in the morning to see the view was incredible! There is plenty of parking for multiple ATV's, SXS's, and trucks. Cunningham Gulch where this is located is a very quiet area, and it has tons of wildlife. We saw a mama moose with calf the first morning, a pine marten in the driveway, and a mama bear and cub across the creek on the opposite side of gulch. The highlight was a bull moose that liked to forage a mile or so down the road by the beaver ponds. We saw him 4-5 evenings in a row during our evening ride. Despite it being very remote, it is 100% worth it. The owner communicated very well, and they are very up front about the struggles of owning a cabin that far away from civilization. Prepare for a little bit extra work, but a whole bunch of scenery and fun!P.S. Bring your fishing poles. We limited out in a few hours in the creek by the cabin.

Excellent lodge for Silverton Colorado area.

Due to a local law change concerning OHV not allowed in Silverton Colorado this property is excellent. We were able to ride our OHV’s from the property no need to trailer or paid fee’s to park our trailers. The property has everything you need coffeepots, gas grill, and plenty of cooking utensils. We had 10 people in our group and the property had plenty of room to accommodate us. I will definitely stay here again.

Wedding week

My husband and I took a trip to Colorado to get married, all of our friends came with us. We are big on side by sides and razors! We love silverton but hate the loading and unloading process everyday. This was perfect! We had the best 4 days, can’t wait to come back!

The site was perfect located, close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the quietness of the mountains and all the beautiful scenery. Once we parked, we never got in our vehicles again until we left. There is plenty of room for vehicles. We brought one bumper pull trailer that parked at the beginning of the driveway. Our gooseneck got left at the bottom of the hill. None of that will detour us from coming back and staying again! Beautiful property and house! 100% worth it!

Fabulous views

We arrived at the property and were amazed at the location with such magnificent views. The kitchen was great and two fridges for our food. Great counter space. The large family room was awesome. We brought our own movies as we knew no internet or cell phone service was available. The owner also had movies. Bedrooms were nice. We had ages of 1 year old' 5 year old' a teenager' and grandparent who is 80 years old. All of us lived it. The ease of being able to ride our ATV'S without loading them was the best benefit. Mark Weber is amazing to work with and very kind and accommodating. We will be back.

Arrived to mouse poop EVERYWHERE, the toy bins had feces in the bottom, the couches had feces sitting on them, the middle of the living room floor even had feces on it. In plain site there were mouse traps and two dead mice/ rat on them we had to dispose of. They have leg traps outside and we saw a dead animal that had to suffer in the leg traps until it died. We had to vacuum the downstairs, the steps and upstairs to make it somewhat “comfortable” for us to allow our 1 year old and 3 year olds to play. If you like the smell of moth balls this house is perfect, you’ll never get the stitch out of your nose. There was a bucket in the kitchen that was a mouse trap that was FULL and we had to dump due to the smell. There is NO way this was cleaned prior to our arrival like the owner had texted. Tried to reach out to the owners about all of the issues and never got a response, mind you we had constant communication prior to our arrival. We made the house work because we had to, not worth it.

Fantastic view!

We had a total of 6 family members staying this trip and everything was amazing! The check-in was easy, communication with owner was easy and the views each morning were breathtaking. The trip to Silverton is only a few miles and there are many things to do. Would definitely recommend for an off the grid stay! We even saw a Moose with twin calves!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

We absolutely loved this place! It was unbelievably clean! Props to the cleaning lady. Everyone had a place to sleep and it was a large enough space that we were not crowded. The old mine ruins on the property are so interesting to see. Everyone needs to check out this place and the town of Silverton CO!

Perfect Family get away

Had a great time 12 adults with 6 children. We brought UTVs to ride for the week and it worked out absolutely perfect. We were able to ride to any of the local trails highly recommend!

Good place to stay to ride all the trails around silverton

we had 9 people stay at this cabin everybody had a bed and the views were wonderful. Nice place to stay if you ride side by sides or bikes. Ride right off the property and your on a trail.

The high mountain air will make you wish you could stay longer. You can ATV right from the cabin and hike right out the front door. Many generations of miners work the area mines and their legacy is seeped in this gulch. This mine was worked from the 1880's to 1950's bringing forth gold and silver.
