In the wintertime, Northstar Resort is ideal for all ski levels, while in the summer, it's a hiker's paradise with numerous trails and a world-class mountain biking facility. For more family-friendly entertainment, visit the Village's ice-skating rink, movie theater, shops, and dining options. Just a half mile from the home, Northstar Golf Course offers scenic views that the golfer in your group will appreciate. A quick 11-minute drive brings you to Kings Beach, where you can relax on the white sand beaches of Lake Tahoe or enjoy a variety of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Head 11 minutes in the other direction to the historic town of Truckee, known for its river rafting, bike paths, boutique shopping, and vibrant nightlife.



Getting Around:

The home, less than a mile from Northstar Ski Resort, offers convenient on-site parking and several shuttle bus options. It’s only a 2-minute ride on the free shuttle to Northstar Village and the recreation center. Guests can easily access the dial-a-ride shuttle by downloading the Northstar app. Tahoe Area Rapid Transportation (TART) also provides daily routes to Kings Beach and Truckee. To reach Kings Beach, guests can walk a mile to Northstar Village Gate #8 and take the Hwy 267 bus. The ride to Crystal Bay station takes about 15 minutes. For a visit to the historic town of Truckee, guests can take the same bus north and arrive in Truckee in approximately 20 minutes.



Several cab companies operate in the area, and both Uber and Lyft are available, although availability can be seasonal and limited.



Other Things to Note:

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.



Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.



4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.
