Inspeccionado y con licencia.
Recién remodelado en 2017 - Cabaña rústica con comodidades modernas. Gran cocina abierta / comedor / sala de estar. Dormitorio privado en el nivel principal con cama de registro reina y acceso directo al baño. El baño tiene una ducha grande y hermosa con azulejos.
Si te gusta ducharte al aire libre, ¡hemos añadido y cubierto ducha al aire libre con agua caliente para que disfrutes también! Ideal para pies embarrados y mascotas sucias también. Espaciosas áreas de loft con loft abierto adicional. El primer dormitorio tiene una hermosa cama queen log y tres camas individuales y ahora está cerrado con un cierre de puerta de granero. La segunda habitación tipo loft también se incluyó en 2017 y ahora tiene una cama queen y una individual. El nuevo loft abierto es una cómoda sala de estar con un futón para espacio adicional para dormir. Las puertas francesas en la sala de estar se abren a un porche cubierto con espacio para muchos entretenidos y relajantes. Puede escuchar los sonidos suaves de Bear Creek desde el porche y el fogón (leña proporcionada). Hermosas vistas por todos lados!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything needed for an awesome experience. Wonderful firepit and seating area with an unlimited supply of wood. The beautiful scenery and babbling stream on the property make for an ideal get away. Barry is great, accessible and accommodating!

We fly-fished the stream, built fires every night under stars, enjoyed the early morning mist and appreciated meeting Barry, who is a great and accommodating host. The cabin suited us perfectly, comfortably, and was just far enough away from but accessible to La Farge and Viroqua. Loved it!

Once again we had a fantastic stay at the Bear Creek Retreat. This has been an annual reunion for our family to trout fish, explore the driftless, and spend time together. Thank you Barry for sharing your special retreat. The place was perfect with plenty of comfortable beds, outdoor fireplace and plenty of firewood, and ample space to spread out and relax.

Everything was perfect. It was very clean and Internet was great. The property has great walking trails and fishing was good. Very peaceful after a a great wedding weekend! We will definitely stay again during pheasant season.

Wonderful Stay!

Had a great time at this place even though the temperatures were in the upper 90's. The creek was refreshing for a dip. The property is really nice, well taken care of and has lots to do. Definitely a place I would recommend to others!

This was such a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a few days. Everything was so family friendly. The creek provided hours of entertainment and the outdoor firepit and chairs were amazing. The smaller creature comforts were so appreciated by the adults (comfortable bed and sheets, a great outdoor shower to rinse kids off, a reclinable couch...) . The owners were available, local and so helpful! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this stay! Thanks for having us!

Barry was the BEST Host we have ever had! Took his binoculars outta his truck for us to use to watch the wildlife. Loved the outside shower, outside seating for all 9 of us, 1 bathroom was no problem. Went tubing with Kickapoo wild adventure, so Fun. Great host, great property, one of our best stays!

Barry’s Bear Creek Retreat was just incredible! My girlfriend and I brought our dog to get away and relax and we were more than surprised at the serenity and beauty of this place. Our dog fully enjoyed running through the fields and creek and seeing cows and horses for the first time!Barry was an amazing host and reached out a couple times to check in to see if we needed anything. But there was nothing to request since it is well stocked with anything you could possibly need, and more. Plus, the grounds were very well maintained and the house was spotless! It was an absolutely perfect place for our long weekend away from home!

Upon arrival we found the property and grounds in impeccable condition. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with information and necessities that would ensure a comfortable stay. We were contacted prior to our stay and greeted upon arrival just to verify that our needs and expectations were met. The grounds and creek were top notch; the views exceptional. Very comfortable accommodations with the outdoor shower, good fishing, and daily walks around the lovely grounds standout experiences! We hope to make Bear Creek Retreat a frequent destination. Simply stunning!

Perfection!

The feel of this cabin is that you're staying at your uncle's cabin; everything you may need is available and is nice and it's so well done that you want to respect the home to respect the owner. Husband and kids had great luck fishing & we had a blast tubing down the stream. My 8 year old said it was the best vacation, ever. He's not wrong, thank you!

We cannot say enough kind words about Barry and his incredible hospitality. Unsurpassed by any previous host/hostess (and we’ve stayed at many)! He made sure we had absolutely everything necessary to relax and enjoy this beautiful, quiet, and very well-maintained property. There are plenty of clean linens, cookware, firewood and beds that are comfortable. We made the hour drive to the Dells but honestly kids (ages 8 & 10) would have rather stayed and played in the stream. 10/10 highly recommend (but hate to, for fear it won’t be available when we are ready to visit again). Thank you, Barry for a spectacular experience and family vacation we will cherish! Continue to do what you love and all will see you love what you do.

Our Heaven Away from Home

We have stayed at this property for four or five years now. We LOVE this annual get away with family. The cabin has all the accommodations we need but the best part is the fishing and view from the porch and fire pit while listening to the stream. It is so peaceful. The added bags game was a nice touch this year! We will be back:-)

All I can say is WOW! Barry is a great host and he was so easy to work with. Communication was great and he always got back to me within a few hours with the answers to my questions. The cabin was very clean and it was stocked with everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. I brought up my mom, 79, and 3 golden retrievers who loved it up there, I could not keep them out of the creek and they played from morning till night. We took walks along the trails that Barry had mowed for us and they loved it, They had endless freedom. My mom just sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the amazing views. Definitely a 10 for us and we will be back. Thank you Barry for being such a wonderful host.

Family time at Bear Creek

Time was spent with family around the campfire and trout fishing the streams around the area. The cabin was ideal. We had everything we could ask for ... thank you Barry for sharing your cabin and beautiful property with us.

The Kickapoo Valley has a special place in our hearts as we grew up here and came back to raise our family in this beautiful area. We have three grown boys who love to visit and enjoy the Kickapoo Valley and all it has to offer. We love to share this unique property with family and friends and welcome you to join us too.

We purchased this piece of land several years ago from friends and neighbors, and built the cabin bit by bit over the years with the help of many friends, family, and local craftsmen. We enjoy it's beauty and want to share it with you!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This setting is like no other. We have a top quality trout stream steps from the front door. Abundant wildlife in every season. The views are gorgeous all around. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the porch, watching the wildlife, hearing the sounds of Bear Creek trickling by, enjoying a fire in the fire pit after dark, and just relaxing.
