Ubicado en Palm Island Resort en la costa suroeste del golfo de Florida. No existen puentes o calzadas a la isla, lo que garantiza un ambiente de vacaciones tropicales relajado.
El resort de la isla abarca una porción de dos millas de playas prístinas y privadas en el extremo norte de Palm Island.

Only complaint was the television package as there were only local channels and shopping channels. Pool and grills in close proximity. The island took a hit from the hurricane, but looks to be getting close to full recovery. Cudos to the staff for being flexible and helpful.Look forward to next year for another lazy summer break.

I would highly recommend a stay here. Just be aware that some areas are no drive (golf carts are needed), and the ferry can get expensive if you leave the island often. Thank you Palm Island Resort for a great time!

Great Family Time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visit Palm Island with our extended family each year. I truly enjoy the peaceful quiet beach and being able to relax. The resort is still in process of rebuilding after the hurricane but our unit was in good shape and newly decorated. Our only complaint is that we had originally reserved a 1st level unit but were moved to a 2nd fl. unit. If our entire party had come, this would not have been acceptable due to mobility. The restaurant was still going thru some new staff issues but the waitress was on it and took care of us. We plan to be back next year.

Reviewer Comments: If we hadn't been to the island before (June 2021), we wouldn't have known there's better and without the beauty of the island, we would not have enjoyed our stay. This apartment is dated, worn, and with multiple problems. We called re no hot water in bathrooms, TVs not working, & Wi-Fi not working. They came, got the living rm TV working but didn't fix the 22" one in bedroom. Before calling, there was some hot water in 2nd bedroom & after the call, the mbr had hot water but not so much in the 2nd bedroom. Then we realized both showers can't be used at the same time for hot water. Every morning there were baby cockroaches in the bathroom. No blinds at the living room doors despite all the efforts to tell guests about turtles. We will never again stay in 3722B even if it means not coming to the island.

The only slight criticism of this unit was the lack of tv services ( I did not come here for tv but being able to catch a playoff game would have been a reasonable expectation). Many useless channels and a couple of local tv stations were all that was available.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time stay at this secluded resort. Location, staff were great. Our unit, #3722 was found to be dated and dirty. Frying pan still had grease from last use. Toilet seats were falling off. Carpet worn. Cable did not work. No hair dryer. We spent most of our time on the water but I would not stay in this unit again unless it’s updated. Poor value for the money.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This resort is located on an "island" (2 minute ferry ride 50 yards across water) which started out as a novelty & turned into a hassle. To take the ferry with your car is $55 (although the resort gives 2 complementary rides over and stops at 10pm). There is very little light pollution so the sky is clear and beautiful. My bf and I stayed in a villa and it was amazing, fully stocked with glasses/plates/bowls, margarita maker, board games and a splash of home. It was amazing and very serene and the staff was super friendly. It was also very affordable, with very cheap kayak rentals (although the golf carts were not cheap 50/day) and a great restaurant on the island. Overall though I definitely hope we can vacation here again.

A Missed Opportunity at an amazing experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The most disturbing thing to happen this weekend is that my roommate that I stayed with at the resort was attacked by bed bugs. We noticed rashes Saturday morning as she had an allergic reaction from the bites. Next bad experience: so we stayed here for a wedding and our friends rented a house on the island. The island is said to be open 24/7 and when we stayed here last year, we came but through the gate at all times of night with no issue. After the gate closes, we would call and have someone meet us to let us in. One night we left to go to the after party and were met by a very grumpy man rudely asking why we wanted to come back to the resort we were staying at and giving us a curfew to return by our else he wasn’t going to let us in. When we got to the party we heard that this man gave two other guests an equally hard time and even told the bride “I don’t care who you are”. We also had to bribe him with money to let us bring a truck back to the venue space to pick up our decorations from the wedding. We were told to be sure not to leave our stuff as things often get stolen from the venue. I felt terrible for the wedding planner Sheryl- the resort staff wasn’t available as late as they said they would be and left her in a bind trying to help us. I will mention there was many very accommodating staff members that took superb care of us. I know one of the ladies names was maryanne and there was two other women accompanying her. The issue was more so with the transport services and security guard. The last day of our stay, our friends golf cart broke down or ran out of juice and they were stranded. The staff was informed but no one came to help them. They pushed the cart themselves for several hours. The bad outweighed the good and it was a disappearing experience. We will be asking for a full refund for the bed bugs alone.

Horrible "Resort"

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the worst stay I have ever had at Palm Island. We were told only a couple days before our stay that the pool was being resurfaced. To make matters worse, it was red tide, so we could not even go into the ocean. The pool we were told we could use was not in walking distance, so we had no choice but to purchase a golf cart. That should have been free of charge considering someone decided it was a good idea to resurface a pool over a holiday weekend. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and still had to pay to use the fairy for one of our 2 vehicles. The icing on the cake was definitely the teenagers/kids running wild, destroying property during our stay. My pool float was completely destroyed by them while their drunk parents stood by and did nothing. I cannot believe how much money I wasted at this resort. Will not ever be returning. Poor customer service and not at all worth what they're charging. Oh, and our wifi didn't work. Please improve this "resort."

Beautiful Island, terrible accommodations

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The island and gulf are amazingly beautiful. However, our villa and rental experience fell far short of a deluxe resort. Our unit had no hot water, plug outlets worked intermittently, kitchen had severe water damage, counters had missing drawer pulls, refrigerator door was hanging off upon arrival, carpet had huge stains and pulled areas, toilets were low with tiny seats. The pool had mammal feces in the water (one to three inches logs with one inch round diameter.) Even after multiple guest complaints, resort allowed from 8 AM til late afternoon to transpire until one of the villa owners demanded that someone from cleaning crew meet him at the pool for a clean out. Trash was stacked and overflowing under our villa causing not only a disgusting visual but terrible stench as well. Palm Island’s responses to our problems were very much nonchalant and very pompous... kind of a “take it or leave it” attitude. My family’s first PI experience but my sisters’ rave reviews about us coming to their favorite summer excursions over the last 20 years was a deep disappointment to her as well as us. We were so excited to visit as a quality and much needed getaway after losing two family members in six weeks time. What should have been a nice retreat was far from our high expectations. We were very disappointed in our experience and the response to our concerns. We expected so much more from what we thought would be an excellent resort.

Palm Island Surprise

We have been looking for a place in Florida and viewed hundreds of homes. I came across the Palm Island area by accident. So we decided to drive to the island & take a peek. Our overnight stay lasted a week!! And to top that off we found a house that we are working on purchasing!! Love the unexpected!!

Not quite as expected

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was wonderful except the 3722 unit. I can live with outdated and even though carpet is not hygienic, I can do with that. BUT it was dirty. Hair incl. pubic hair in bathroom, kitchen items, mugs, cutlery, stove...dirty. I had to wash everything we used. A gourmet kitchen with everything I need was advertised. The stiff in the kitchen was dirty, old and barely enough of. ONE cereal bowl, multiple cracked coffee mugs and a mismatch of 4 forks. I had bites every day when being in the unit. It just does not meet the description and marketing of the place. Everything else was wonderful.

Still in love with Palm Island

The weather, beach, surf, pool, Rum Bay, golf cart, Coconuts, Gift Shop, and the location of our condo were all fantastic. However, I should say that the villa needed a bit more renovation. The sink faucet in the master bath leaked all over the countertop, and the toilet seat was super small. The first bedroom had a more updated bathroom. Everything else worked fine, though some of the kitchen cabinets had evidence of leak damage. Also, we had to watch the dishwasher to make sure it didn't pop open mid-cycle. Overall, we were happy since we able rent a villa quickly. We'll pay more attention to the descriptions next time.
