Location, location, location just 2 blocks to restaurants where you can enjoy food, drinks, and great live music. Enjoy the entire island on our complimentary bikes while you enjoy our PRIVATE SINGLE FAMILY HOME with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a lanai for ultra enjoyment. If you like privacy, enjoy our beach with a hammock, fire pit and FENCED PRIVATE BACK YARD. Take advantage of our outside shower with hot and cold water. Our home is 120 steps to the pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico; plus, we are one of the few homes with access to a semi-private dock on Lemon Bay where you can fish, enjoy the sunrise and admire nature at it's best. Great for sun worshipers and fisherman alike. Where else can you relish both the sunrise and the renouned Florida sunsets and only steps away.

Manasota Key is the second largest estuary in Florida. Enjoy the island with the bikes and kayaks provided for your pleasure. Watch the sunrise on Lemon Bay and the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico. Our home is fully renovated including new furnishings, appliances and the best stocked home on the Key. We are between the public beach (.1 mile) and Stump Pass State Park (.5 miles).

Kick back, chill out and grill. Spoil yourself with the complimentary bickes and all the beach toys you will need. Enjoy the most beautiful and undiscovered isle in Florida. We are dog friendly and your fur babies have a fenced yard for their protection. There are big screen smart T.V.'s in every room, high speed internet, Netflix and plenty of books and games, so make yourself at home.

If you are wild about nature, you will love the stroll to Stump Pass Park. There are 265 acres of sandy trails, boating and miles of pristine beaches. The wildlife is amazing. Artists and sun worshippers aren't the only species drawn to our little island. Our breathtaking beach is also popular with fisherman and ecotourists. It isn't unusual to be joined by a heron on your walk, see a pelican fishing as you throw out your line, or perhaps you'll come across dolphins at play. Take a walk on the wild side and watch the sea turtle nests come alive with hatchlings May 1 to October 31.

Our key is famous for shelling and finding fossilized sharks teeth as you walk the newly renourished beach. Snorkel in the clear water for sand dollars and everything tropical. Put up our umbrella because there's lots of room. We're just far enough from the public beach that you can enjoy the sunsets undisturbed.

For all you fishing enthusiasts, the area is the second largest marine estuary in the state. You will find several species in our waters. Boat to nereby Boca Grand the "Tarpon Capital of the World". The area has several boat ramps so bring your boat. We have plenty of room to park or just fish from the private dock.

Amazing location with beach and dock access for fishing! Kids had the best time and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. House had everything we needed and we were able to enjoy the fire pit and smores one night as well!

What a nice place to stay!! The kitchen was very well equipped and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the walk in shower in the master bath. The location was wonderful. Just a very short walk to the beach. Closer than a lot of so-called oceanfront properties. No steps to negotiate. The beach chairs were very comfortable and easy to take to the beach with the beach buggy provided. The home is decorated very nicely with a seahorse theme. The lanai is very comfortable and large. The pass through window from the kitchen to the lanai was very useful when we cooked out on the provided grill. We didn't use the outdoor shower. However, if my grandson had been there, it would have been perfect for him. We did, however, use the spray hose every day when returning from the beach. We would gladly stay in this lovely home again in the future. The three of us found around 1700 shark teeth during our one week stay. However, no big ones. But we're happy. The ocean in this area is so clear with lots of shells to choose from for your collection. Also, we fished at the dock and caught 3 catfish which we cooked and ate that night. The dock gives a beautiful view of the bay and the boats that pass through there.

Beautiful vacation home with all the amenities. Just a block from the beach and what a relaxed vibe for our stay. Everything we needed was provided and having the beach wagon, chairs, and noodles to float made the experience that much better. Easy to find, check in was a breeze, very clean, comfortable bed, and every time we turned around we discovered something else we loved. Stump Pass was amazing and this location was great for shelling and finding sharks teeth. We will be back.

Even though it rained almost the whole time the beach was still beautiful and calming. Check in and out was effortless and nothing can be better than an outdoor hot shower under the stars!!! We’ll definitely return!!

Quaint Beach Adventure

We stayed with our two kids, under 5, and enjoyed the property. We loved the proximity to the beach, loved the beach amenities the homeowners left us to use, and the closeness to restaurants and some beach shops. The house was well equipped with the things we needed to cook, entertain, and relax. It's nice to see the area rebuilding after the hurricanes last fall. House was clean and well kept! We would stay again.

This was our second time at this location and fourth year at one of Dan & Linda’s properties. Everything was clean and to be expected! We had just enough amenities and perfect access to our local favorites (beach, walking paths, restaurants). Manasota Key is a hidden gem and we’re eager to see it back on its feet from last year’s storms. Grateful for an amazing stay.

Birthday getaway

Mom and i traveled from Wisconsin to celebrate her 86th birthday.We flew into Sarasota and it was an easy drive using google maps. The house is very well decorated and had everything we needed for the week. There are so many restaurants and shopping in close vicinity. The beach is just a short walk across the street, and never felt overcrowded. Beach chairs and an umbrella are provided, along with any toys if traveling with children. I would recommend beach shoes as there are a lot of broken shells along the shoreline. During our stay we saw both dolphins and 2 manatees close to the beach. If i get a chance to bring mom to Florida again, i would definitely stay her again.

Great Stay

Property was clean and had everything we needed plus a few extras. Beach chairs and wagon were hugely appreciated! We met the owners and they were very nice, responsive and accomodating. Would love to stay there again.

Relaxing Old Florida Charm

If you are looking for the activity of Daytona or Myrtle Beach, this is not the booking for you. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet "Old Florida" charm and pace, this is the place to stay. Quiet beach right across the street. great restaurants and bars within walking distance of house - yet far enough not to be bothered by noise. Bungalow has everything you need for a nice beach stay. Spent the weekend with family before son deployed to Kuwait. Thanks for such a wonderful memory.

Close walk to beach. Fishing dock was Fantastic. Easy communication with owners. House was great. Great location! Restaurants close. Rented waverunners close by. Beach was not crowded at our area but plenty of people further down. Loved It!

Family getaway

I really want ro give this a horrible review so that it will be available the next rime i want to go here.....but i cant. Everything was fantastic. I waaaayyy over packed but everything was here just as described. I loved every minute....even the hurricane that passed thru! You wont regret rwnting

We loved the property! It was very nice and clean. We love the Englewood area and would definitely stay here again. Just a short walk across the street to the beach makes it a great spot!

Great relaxing spot

This was the perfect place for our family. So close to the beach and all the needed equipment for a relaxing day. Proximity is perfect so that if we did get too hot at the beach, just an easy quick walk back. And the gear helped us found TONS of shark teeth at the beach!

Wow! Everything Great!

The house was in the perfect location for food, beach and fun! The beach was very close and all that was needed was provided. It was the complete package. We are hoping to do it again soon if not the same time next year! Thanks for the great vacation!

Linda is a Florida native so it was important to find a home that reminded her of "old" Florida. We searched the entire State and fell in love with Manasota Key the minute we crossed the bridge. We love our guests and have made many friends that visit us each year. We found the perfect home with the perfect location. Dan was in property management at the ski resorts in Colorado while Linda made her career in real property law. Our combined management skills are essential to make all our guests have the best beach vacation possible.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Linda is a native of Florida and wanted a home with that old Florida feel. There aren't many islands left that aren't filled with high rises and tourists. We found our gem and we hope our guests love it as much as we do.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are one of the few rental homes on the key that has access to the prestine Gulf of Mexico (1/2 block) and the waters of Lemon Bay (1 block). Enjoy sunrise at the dock with a cup of hot brew while enjoying majestic nature that can only be found in Lemon Bay Acquatic Preserve. Complete your day by enjoying a beautiful sunset at the beach. Now that's island time all within a block away.
