The location was easy to get to and fairly private. The driveway was a little nerve wracking, but not a problem as we had 4WD. The hot tub was excellent. The house was cozy, comfortable, and clean. It had everything we needed, so we could just focus on relaxing together. Host was very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again!

The first thing was when we put the address listed in our GPS it took us to the wrong property-up a horrible driveway that was about a half mile long and very rutted and bumpy but we figured it out. We couldn’t get the tv in the living room to work. There was a guy that came to look at it but couldn’t get it to work either. No biggie because the one in the bedroom worked. The only other minor suggestion is maybe have some hangers in the closet so there is somewhere to hang clothes. Other than that it was a great place! We will definitely be back next year!

The little cottage was just what we were looking for. A couple things that we thought would be nicer was an upgrade of the bed sheets. They were very thin. It was difficult pulling out of the driveway because it’s on a sharp curve and you can’t see. Maybe if some of the shrubs/ trees could be trimmed might help. Everything else was very nice. Highly recommend!

Bed was sufficiently clean, check-in was easy, kitchen was relatively well-supplied but there were little slimy bugs in the cupboard under the sink, WiFi was perfect. We drove to the cabin and it was fairly easy to find - Google Maps led us straight there - but there was a big long pothole at the start of the driveway that scraped the bottom of our Prius. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.There was also a basement underneath that we couldn't access - it would be good to be reassured what that basement is used for (e.g. storage, etc!)

Cosy cabin

Cute cabin with hot tub, located near Ohiopyle. Full kitchen, fireplace (we didn't use), dog friendly. Lots of towels. Secluded enough to avoid neighbors. Bring your own firewood for the fire pit. We had a great time both there and in Ohiopyle.

This property was overall good. It had an updated kitchen, a private hot tub and a new tub. Beds were comfy, TVs had plenty of entertainment and appliance overall cleanness was good. However the cleanliness of the home was hit and miss. Some areas were pretty spotless like the bathroom, while other areas like the pull out couch were full of crumbs. Also there were numerous dead bugs and spider webs in the home which was expected for being in the woods but disappointed it was that many. There was a bird that got in the cabin because of the fireplace. We got it easily through an open door but that was one thing we didn’t expect. Overall the exterior needs a little tlc as paint is chipping and roof looks a little rough. I recommend the place for location and price but wish the home was a bit better upkeep.

Very cute cabin

I stayed here for 2 nights with my dog. The house is super cute and close to a lot of incredible nature. It had everything I needed. I would maybe come back here, except the hosts were not very communicative. It seems to be managed by a bigger firm or something, but I got absolutely no acknowledgement to my message of seeing a mouse the first night. The house was pristine when I got there, and I get that it’s in the woods and there are lots of critters. Just wish the hosts had acknowledged my message and be aware if you’re staying here for longer stretches of time to keep your food in secure closed containers.

Place in the pines!

Just as described! Very clean and well maintained. In a very quiet and secluded area which is nice. Hot tub worked great! And was nearby to a lot of hikes, waterfalls, and some cute towns to explore! Would love to stay here again in the future! 10/10!

Lovely Getaway

We stayed here before about 2 years ago and the house was just as charming now as it was back then. We did apparently book during offseason so some spots that we visited last time were closed but still it was a nice, relaxing trip.

Wish the fireplace worked the first day. Unable to have an outdoor fire in the fire pit due to fire ban. What was to be ciozy with the fireplaces- weren’t.

Left a day early because my husband and I have allergies and someone had animals (cats)in the house prior to our arrival. My husbands shirt was covered with hair. We both had severe headaches and felt like we were going to throw up.

Pennsylvania vacation

We spent five nights at the Place in the Pines in mid-September. The property was clean, comfortable and perfect for two people. Although there are no biking or hiking trails within walking distance of the house, it's an easy drive to Ohiopyle, the GAP trail, and other trails in nearby West Virginia. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we schedule another vacation in the area.

Nice getaway

We liked staying here . Very close to all activities in Ohiopyle but very private. Use extra caution, turn to get into the driveway comes up very quickly on the windy roads and you can bottom out easily at the end of it. The house has everything needed for simple cooking. Microwave needs to have door handle replaced and outdoor table has rusted legs making it uneven. We still enjoyed all our meals outside listening to the birds .

love the Laurel Highlands

Just a quick stop to re-acquaint with area. finally toured falling waters. Wow. Really enjoyed food and atmosphere at both the Braddock and the Stone House. Could probably save your self some energy/time if you asked guests if they interested in having hot tube "ready to use " when they arrived or if they intended to use at all. Appreciated it being there but to hot to event think of using it... Would definately consider coming back...

Lovely Cabin

We enjoyed our stay in this little house. It was extremely clean and cozy. Seating was superb with huge comfy recliners. The bed was super comfy. Great lighting for cooking and reading - thanks for providing enough light to see. So many windows to let in natural light - newer windows so we were able to open them and let the fresh air in. Great shower. Plenty of cookware; working appliances although the microwave should be replaced soon. Heat pump. This is an older home and needs a lot of outside maintenance but the inside has all been renovated. The driveway at the entrance needs gravel. A cutting board is needed in the kitchen and at least one nightstand in the bedroom would be helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
