Lovely, spacious home on a mountain

Be ready for switchbacks and hairpin turns! The climb up the mountain is worth it when you arrive in this idyllic spot. The house is roomy and so clean and easy to spend time in. The hosts are gracious and helpful. Loved the garden and the sauna too.

A beautiful place to stay

We loved our stay at Cherry Tree. The house is beautiful, from the comfy beds and pillows to relaxing in the great outdoor space. Damir and Christine were available if we needed them. It’s so nice to stay a little outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. I highly recommend a stay at Cherry Tree!!

Excellent property

From first booking to end of holiday communication with the owners was excellent. On our arrival, Damir was waiting for us to hand over key and give us a few pointers regarding facilities. The property was immaculate and we instantly felt very comfortable and at home. There was air con in every room, the beds were comfortable and the sauna was great. all amenities worked perfectly. The pool was fantastic and very clean. The property is very private and peaceful with views of the mountains. Damir and Christina are perfect hosts and really care about your holiday. We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend this property.

Great Owners and Place

The house is clean and has great views of mountain. We have 8 adults in our party. The house provide everything we need and comfortable. Christina(owner) kept in touch at regular to check if we need anything and doing OK. On our last night stay, we order homemade dinner (from Christina Mother). She cook for us meso ispod peke and paprika. They are the best dishes we ever eat. Highly recommended. We have a great time stay in the Cherry Tree House! Hai and Family.

Place and owners are amazing

Our family has travelled the world and we have used vrbo for many of those excursions. This was probably the best experience we’ve had. Our first night (arrived from the states jet lagged) the owner’s mother dropped a three course meal in the kitchen that made our acclimation much easier and tasted like heaven (home made white wine and cherry desert wine of this world!). We had enough food to warm up for lunch again. The home is rock solid, has great views, comfortable beds, is in a quaint little mountain town not far from Split and even better both Omis and Trogir are close. The owners are also the best communicators I’ve dealt with. My wife missed out due to work - she is envious!! We can’t recommend this experience more. Thank you both (and your mother) for everything Randy and kids

Amazing location

We arrived late but were still met by Damir who showed us to the property. Cherry tree is positioned in the mountains just in Donje Sitno, it’s a rural location about 5 miles from the nearest major town, although a bus does come past the property at regular intervals a car is a must if you are staying here. We were two families sharing and found the property ideal as we had a floor each. The kitchen and dining area have the best view so we used that as our communal area. The property is spacious and very clean with everything that you need for your stay. Christina kept in touch at regular intervals to check all was ok,as we encountered really high winds during our stay. Damir had opened the pool for my daughter out of season, which she was totally delighted about. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nous etions en famille, l'accueil trés agréable des hotes trés reactif a nos demandes,une maison trés propre, trés spacieuse, trés agreable nous étions 6 et un bébé.il manque rien dans la maison.un endroit trés calme.Aprés de grande balade et visite toute la journée la piscine ètait trés bien pour nous détendre.une vu magnifique. Enfin bref nous avons passés un séjour au top avec des conseils de visite de Christina. Je conseil vivement cette maison.

A wonderful escape with great views

The villa is perched on a mountain with wonderful views of the Rocky Mountains and valleys below. It has everything you might need in a holiday and the hosts were incredible. Would highly recommend ordering a dinner from them - it’s heaven on a plate. They also provided other little delights that made us feel very welcome. The villa is about 15 min drive from supermarkets or restaurants and about 20 -25 from Split so a car is essential.

Einmalige Unterkunft

Wer es ruhig und abgelegen mag ist hier genau richtig! Das Haus ist mit mindestens 5 Sternen im Wohlfühlcharakter zu bewerten- besser geht es nicht ! Die Versorgung ist auch ein Traum ! Christina, Damir und Mutter sind herzlich und professionelle Gastgeber!Ausstattung und Pool ein Traum ……. Jederzeit wieder…. Irgendwann kommen wir alle gerne wieder …..macht weiter so !👍

Tout était parfait, du début à la fin ! Christina et son mari nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse, nous ont conseillés sur les visites dans la région et même offert un cadeau de bienvenue. La maison est très agréable, très bien équipée, propre et décorée avec goût, la piscine entretenue avec soin. La situation géographique, dans la montagne, isole un peu, c'est aussi ce qui fait son charme, sans compter la vue magnifique, notamment depuis le balcon d'une des chambres. Nos hôtes ont tout fait pour nous mettre à l'aise et pour que notre séjour se passe bien. Je vous recommande absolument "Cherry tree" pour vos vacances autour de Split 😀

Toller Service, super gastfreundlich

Christina ist eine Gastgeberin, wie man sie sich in Träumen wünscht. Die Kommunikation vor Anreise ist offen, ehrlich, zuvorkommend. Das Haus war bei Anreise sehr sauber, alles war perfekt vorbereitet. Lokales Gebäck und Likör standen als Willkommensgruß auf dem Tisch. Während des Aufenthaltes hilft Christina immer weiter - egal, ob mit Ausflugstipps oder Buchung von Arztterminen. Das Haus selber ist genau so wie online beschrieben und in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist hervorragend: Klimaanlagen, Küche, Handtücher, Verbrauchsmittel (Spülmaschinentaps, Waschmittel, ...). Es ist einfach alles vorhanden. Pool und Aussicht sind herrlich. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Our Holiday in Cherry Tree Cottage, near Split, Croatia.

We had a fantastic holiday based in Cherry Tree Cottage, near Split. Our hosts, Damir and Christina, went to great lengths to see that we had any information that we needed for day trips. In our case, we wanted to go fresh water fishing for Carp. This is not a common activity in this part of Croatia but they found somewhere and helped us sort out permits. The Villa was immaculately clean, The beds were comfortable. We were able to pick fruit and vegetables from the garden as advertised. Obviously the weather can vary but during our two weeks in August, we had continual sunshine with temperatures between 30 and 36 C, every day. The pool was great and our grandchildren were in it every day. They had a great time and improved their swimming throughout our two week holiday. We have returned home full of happy memories from a happy holiday that we will never forget. Damir and Christina can be very proud of providing us with their lovely home which made our holiday, very special indeed. I would thoroughly recommend a holiday at Cherry Tree to anyone.

Excellent Villa!

The photographs do not show just how lovely this villa is. It is clean and modern, with all the facilities you need for your holiday. Importantly the beds are very comfortable with quality mattresses and bedding, so sleep was easy. The atmosphere was nice. The pool very clean, and the outdoor area catches the sun all day. The area is very quite and peaceful. Christina and Damir were kind and generous hosts that really care their guests have a good time during their stay. They were happy to share their local knowledge to ensure we had a good holiday. We aould stay again.

Beautiful place to stay, well kept and well equipped with very accommodating hosts

6 of us stayed for 4 nights, 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The house is lovely with all mod cons and the owners were very friendly and extremely helpful...they have great suggestions on things to do and see and made us all feel at home instantly. I honestly cannot fault them and would highly recommend this place, especially if you like peace and quiet with mountain views and only a 15-20 drive from Split city centre. All the rooms are spacious and there is aircon in all bedrooms + dining room + lounge. The pool was a touch on the cold side for us, but that is to be expected in mid-October...I would imagine we would have been swimming in the height of summer. Then we move onto the meal that Christina and her mother can provide at a very reasonable price...this was 3 courses + soft drinks + grandfather's wine (which is VERY nice!) all delivered to the door (put on the table in fact!)...this is local food, locally sourced and was an absolute delight. Needless to say, if I stay near Split again...I know where I'll be going! Thanks guys for a fantastic stay.

Great holiday home and fantastic hosts!

We had a fantastic time at Cherry Tree and would certainly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of visiting Croatia. Christina and Damir were the perfect hosts, answering all of my questions before and during our holiday. They are such a lovely couple. The house is very well equipped for a large family (we are a family of 5) and the location is very close to Split, Omis and Trogir, all of which we would highly recommend visiting.

Fantastic house, lovely hosts, great location

We had a wonderful time at Cherry Tree and highly recommend this property, especially for families with kids. The house is immaculate and well equipped, with comfortable beds and a/c in every room. The pool is great and our kids spent most of their time in it - in fact, they never would have left the house if they had had a choice! But what us adults perhaps liked best was the location - we were able to explore the beautiful Dalmatian coast in peak season (ie. hordes of people everywhere) then retreat to this peaceful haven for an evening under the stars. Christina and Dalmir are wonderful hosts and provide all the information you need, as well as a warm welcome and farewell. We also really enjoyed the Croatian meal cooked for us by Christina's mother and grandmother on our last night - delicious food and way more than we could eat, great value for money. Overall a fantastic experience, we hope to return soon!

Wundervoller Urlaub in einer wundervollen Umgebung

Unser Urlaub in Kroatien war einfach traumhaft. Wir wurden sehr herzlich und freundlich von Christina und Damir in der Unterkunft empfangen. Es gab ein traditionellen Willkommens-Schnaps und traditionelles Gebäck. Das Haus ist wundervoll. Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, sehr modern und sehr sauber. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die restliche Zeit waren Christina und Damir stets für uns da und haben uns geholfen, wo es auch immer nötig war. Die Aussicht und die Lage des Hauses waren fabelhaft, genau das, was wir wollten, uns aber nicht so toll vorgestellt haben! Wir waren regelrecht begeistert. Wir würden das Haus jedem empfehlen und es selbst auch immer wieder buchen!!!! Danke für diese unvergesslichen und wunderbaren 12 Tage Urlaub pur!!! ❤️

Fantastische week

Perfect verzorgd huis, superschoon. Rustig, met heel veel privacy, dat is wat we zochten en kregen. Met een heerlijk zwembad. Konden de eigenaren contacten als dat nodig was, en dan reageerden ze gelijk en goed. Ontzettend lieve, zorgzame mensen die weten wat gastvrijheid betekent. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Ein sehr gepflegtes, sehr gut ausgestattetes und unbedingt zu empfehlendes Ferienhaus.

Wir haben es genossen, in dem Haus "Cherry Tree" die letzten 9 Tage unserer Ferien in Kroatien zu verbringen. Das Haus war "blitzblank". Es fehlte uns an nichts und alle Geräte sowie der Außengrill funktionierten. Dank des schnellen Wlans blieben uns sogar Netflix & Co. treu. Selbst der Pool konnte - dank des vielen Sonnenscheins - schon im Mai benutzt werden. Um die Kirschbäume nicht zu vergessen: Die Kirschen waren gerade reif und wir alle drei konnten sie direkt vom Baum essen. Das junge Ehepaar der Vermieter war freundlich, liebenswert und sprach deutsch und englisch. Es war ihnen beiden ein persönliches Anliegen, ihren Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Sie waren zur Ankunft und vor unserer Abreise aus Split herüber gekommen, haben uns Tipps für unsere Rundfahrten gegeben und wir haben einiges über Land und Leute von ihnen erfahren, das so nicht im Reiseführer steht. Schade nur, dass der Kiefernwald ringsum vor einem Jahr stark unter einem Brand gelitten hat. Es wird sicherlich noch einige Zeit vergehen, bis die alte Schönheit der Natur des Berglandes wieder hergestellt ist. Dennoch planen wir, wiederzukommen.
