Good location and nice condo. Mostly easy walk to the slopes, although tougher if you're carrying skis for three kids. Recommend using the ski butler storage next to the gondola (10 per ski per nt). Only a few restaurants in the village and others are a drive, which can be tricky if the garage is crowded. Checking in was confusing - the lockbox is on the opposite side of the garage entrance and there's no where close to park to go get the garage key, so it can be hectic. Our room keys also didn't work to get into the building so we were locked out at one point. The average response time from the host was 1-2 hours, which was frustrating. It took quite some time to get our keys fixed.

Great condo for a Quick Getaway

Beautiful condo in a beautiful spot. Stratton Mountain is a fun little ski resort village. Quiet season around Easter, Manchester VT nearby is a great town, quintessential VT. Hot tubs were great, also!

The location and access to the property is ideal for skiing - truly convenient to the mountain. The communication with the host is excellent and tries to address any concerns you may have during your stay.

First time at Stratton

Location was amazing and the condo was great. Clean, well-stocked. We even cooked most of our meals there. Very happy with the property and mountain. We had a blast!

I stayed in this condo with my three children in January 2026. While the location is ideal, there were two incidents that ocurred that caused the stay--and the days that followed--to be extremely distresing. First, the heat would not travel up the narrow staircase to the second bedroom, so it was freezing upstairs. The temp on thermostat would not rise above 68 so there was no way to remedy the temp of the unit. There were NO WARM BLANKETS. Each bed had a thin cotton blanket and a thin cotton duvet cover--with no duvet insert in any of them! I contacted the owner and told him that we were very cold and the bedding was insufficient. Instead of apologizing or having a couple warm blankets delivered, he said "Thanks for your feedback". The next, and more serious issue ocurred Sunday morning at checkout. While I was provided with the checkout time of 10 am when I made the booking, I was focused on the check-in information and made the mistake of thinking that the check-out was 11. When the cleaner arrived at 10:08 I apologized profusely and told him I would pack up with urgency and vacate the unit within 15 minutes. After vacating, I finally had time to check email. The owner had sent check-out instructions at 5:30 am and then a series of aggressive messages when he discovered I had not checked out by 10:00. He told me he was going to charge 1000 per 15 mins late. He charged 2000 in fees by 10:34 and refused to reverse charges when I told him this was unreasonable.

Unfortunately this is not an accurate representation of the events. The charges were based on policy and the cleaners have a different account. It’s unfortunate to have terrible guests then leave reviews as such. This has been escalated to Vrbo

Wonderful location in Stratton

The location was terrific right across from the Village. However, we did not like the beds, we found them very uncomfortable. I also wish that the owner left us some good coffee, only instant. There was barely enough coffee there for 1 person the first day. Most places that we have stayed at least have coffee so you can start your day with a smile. Maybe it was an oversite.

Hey Gail thanks for your feedback! We understand your desire to have coffee in the morning, and apologize for the inconvenience. The tempur pedic mattress are intended to offer stability but can understands that maybe less than ideal for some.

Typical investment property

This property was generally adequate and comfortable. Reminds me of a college apartment. Pros: location was convenient, place was clean, size was decent and tv had Netflix etc. good selection of spices in the kitchen. Owner was responsive.Cons: 5 lightbulbs were out the entire time, he did offer to get them changed but it involved leaving the mountain mid afternoon to let in cleaners. Not worth it. Too much large furniture in small space made it hard to move around. There was also no space for ski boots in the unit. Overall, it was fine but we wouldn’t return at this price. I got the impression he was new to this unit. Hopefully he keeps improving and updating the experience. Feels like a work in progress

Thanks for your feedback Kenneth! We are continually looking to improve the experience and we are sorry about the light bulbs, as we want to respect the privacy of our guests and working to coordinate with cleaners can be difficult in the peak season given the volume.
