Historical riverfront home in beautiful LeClaire. Kid and pet friendly!

This historic property offers many breathtaking views of the Mississippi river. Located atop an antique store, it is in close walking distance to many shops and fun places to visit in charming LeClaire, Iowa. A unique blend of vintage, boho and antique decor gives this place a fun vibe where families, kids (and pets!) will love to stay! Equipped with 2 large bedrooms, a kitchenette, laundry facilities, a back yard and fire pit, your holiday at the Boho Bunk will be one to remember!
PLEASE NOTE! Road construction on Cody Rd begins May 19, 2025 and continues until further notice. Also, LeClaire does have a busy railway that runs along the river. If you are out in front or have the windows open, the train whistle can be alarming.
This is a second-floor loft, and it is on the bluff. There are stairs involved. The antique shop on the first floor is generally open 5 days a week 10-5. There will be some activity on the premises during these hours. Currently climate control is managed from the main floor by owner. Please communicate your preferences. There is a portable AC and space heater to supplement. This house was built in 1855 and may have some quirks. Owner is very willing to accommodate any issues or concerns, just reach out! We loved this quirky, interesting place! We spent time walking around the residence looking at all the retro decor and remarking on which ones we recognized from our childhood. It was a little difficult that the place doesn’t have a full kitchen, but we were in town to visit relatives and were dining with them or at other places. You could get by because it has a hot plate , a microwave, a toaster oven, air fryer, and coffee maker. But there’s no sink in the kitchen. The host was friendly and responsive. We love the place and we really loved the town! So charming.

Great location and home.

We took a road trip from Kansas spur of the moment. So happy to find this home. It’s funky cool!!! Our only negative is that we were expecting a true full size kitchen because the “kitchen” was listed under the amenities. That is as far as I looked when booking. However, if you look further in the description, it does say kitchenette. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator and microwave. No sink but there is one across the hall in the laundry room. No dishes but some pots and pans. No stove but a toaster oven and a burner. Looking at the picture of this house and the amenity listing, it’s very easy to assume you get a fully stocked kitchen. We made due and enjoyed our stay. We used the outdoor grill a lot and paper or plastic utensils. The bathroom is updated and we like the decor with all the retro antiques. We would stay again for sure now that we know what to expect.

Beautiful!

Perfect for our small Bach party weekend. Good amount of beds for us all and wonderful memories made. The owner was so sweet and chill!! Will definitely be coming back for our future events!

We enjoyed our stay overall—the location is excellent, right by the water and within walking distance to shops and restaurants on the main strip. It’s a convenient and charming area that made exploring easy and enjoyable.That said, there were several things about the property that weren’t accurately reflected in the listing. The home is advertised as an entire house, but it’s actually just the upper level of a house. The lower level is a store that the host operates, so there’s more foot traffic and host presence than you might expect. The host herself was very kind and clearly doing her best, but she was on the property almost daily due to the store, which wasn’t something we had anticipated. Additionally, the home doesn’t have a full kitchen—there’s no kitchen sink, stove, or oven—so it’s not well suited for cooking meals. There is a mini Refrigerator and microwave. If you’re planning to dine out, this would not be an issue, but it’s worth knowing ahead of time. There are many places to get food within walking distance. One more thing to note: the home could benefit from pest control. We encountered quite a few bugs both inside and outside, which was a bit of a downside.All in all, this was a decent place to stay in a great location with a friendly host—but the listing definitely needs to be updated for accuracy so future guests can set the right expectations. Definitely recommend shopping at her Antique shop and supporting the small private owned businesses around!

This place is adorable! The decor is so cute. The only thing I didn’t really pay attention to when looking at pics was there wasn’t really a living room area for all of us to sit and hang out together. But we made do in the kitchenette!

Adorable vintage decor

My sister and I along with her fiancée and their three kids as well as our dogs decided to have a quick retreat to Leclaire for New Years and we couldnt have picked a better spot! The space is clean and very well decorated (you can tell its right above an antique store). The bed is very comfortable and the space heater works very quickly. Overall 10/10 stay if you're looking for a place close to the quad cities but far enough away from the cities to have some some peace and quiet (besides the occasional train as the tracks are nearby) i highly recommend stopping by Cody Road Coffee in the morning

Being on the second floor and up on the bluff, this rental offers a great river view from all rooms. It is on the north end of “downtown” LeClaire where the fun happens! Limited parking is available in back and there’s plenty of on street parking. Large front and backyards and spacious rooms makes this a perfect spot for young families and pets.
