Lawrence, we're sorry your stay fell flat of your expectations. We have passed along your feedback to the homeowner. There are multiple sets of keys to utilize the home and the amenities such as the pool and basketball courts. We're sorry that the fire detector had died during your stay. During your initial contact with the owner about this, they regretfully forgot to inform you of the location of extra batteries. We understand that they had made attempts to reach out to you the following day without any success. However, they have noted that there are extra batteries provided to avoid this scenario from recurring. Due to the cold spell recently experienced, the HVAC was inspected the week prior to your stay with no issue found. Unfortunately, it was only discovered post your departure that if the temperature is set to maximum instead of a degree it will overload the system and require a brief shut off to de-ice the coils. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you but know that the owners went to generous measures to make things right. We regret if we didn't come to an agreeable solution.
