We had such a wonderful stay at Forest Acres Retreat. The home was beautifully furnished, spotless, and truly had everything we needed and more. From the comfortable rooms to the thoughtful amenities throughout the house, we felt right at home the entire time. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our visit so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor patio or the two fire pits, which looked absolutely amazing! Even without being able to use the outdoor space, the property offered plenty to enjoy indoors and made our stay relaxing and memorable. Thank you for providing such a peaceful and well-equipped place to stay. We would absolutely return and look forward to experiencing those outdoor features next time!

We had a wonderful time at this location visiting our son for family day and graduation from basic training at Fort Jackson. The location had nice restaurants to choose from in the area and close to the base. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommended this location if your looking to stay in the Columbia, SC area especially if your visiting Fort Jackson.

The code didn’t work when we arrived and I had to call the number that said it would connect me to the host. It did not connect me. Finally I texted and it worked. We waited in the rain. A towel hanger broke off when we hung a towel on it. The bathroom mats weren’t clean. There was mold on the shower curtain. Then the cleaning lady showed up 2 hours early on our last day.

Host was super helpful and responsive. Property was very clean and close to the base. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of hotwater. The backyard was very nice and relaxing.

Perfect Place

This house worked out perfectly for what we needed. We had our family of 4 (all 18) plus our dog. The fenced in backyard and outdoor space was perfect. We were able to cook in 1 night and we had what we needed in the stocked kitchen. The house was comfortable, clean, and in a good location for moving our son into his apartment in Columbia. The host was extremely quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again.

Great property - everything was nice and appeared new. We weren't there very much as the purpose of our trip kept us away most of the time. I had to change my reservation and that went smoothly. Haven't checked what I was actually charged or refunded yet. My only issue was the security check that wasn't indicated on the listing where I had to submit a photo and pay for a background check. In many years of utilizing short term rentals through all kinds of booking options I have never been asked to do this. And pay for it myself! I felt that should have been noted on the property listing. I thought it was a scam when I first got the email asking for my information. Otherwise the property itself was great - had to wash towels due to length of stay. Could have used a few more. Not a fan of the microfiber washcloths.

Roomy outdoor home

We were in town for my daughter’s USC awards senior ceremony. The place was very clean and comfortable beds. Outdoor space was very comfortable and you can enjoy a lot of outdoor time there. The neighborhood was quiet. Security was very good with auto locked front door and outdoor cameras. Auto lights at night come on out front when you pull in and walk up to front door. My husband had to leave for a business trip and even staying there myself I felt safe. Definitely would stay there again.

Annual Girls Weekend

Beautiful, cozy home…quiet neighborhood!…Great hospitality from the owners! We enjoyed our annual “Girls Weekend” in celebration of a friend’s 50th celebration! The commute to the venue was an hour but we decided to stay here and take the drive. We would most definitely book again!

Beautiful and Quiet Neighborhood

Lovely home! Very cozy and felt like a home away from home. Great seating for family and friends, especially the outside patio! Already making plans to stay again!
