Beachwoods - 3BR/3BA - Great Pools and Amenities
Beachwoods is a true destination resort in a class by itself and offers possibly the most unique vacation experience on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound in the middle of a 100-acre Maritime Forest, Beachwoods Resort is surrounded by lakes, woodlands, rolling dunes and wildlife and lies adjacent to a 700-acre nature preserve. It is a hidden gem among Outer Banks resorts.
THE SPACE
Beachwoods features the largest outdoor pool in the Outer Banks, where guests can relax on lounge chairs or play a game of shuffleboard. A favorite among families, the resort also houses a large indoor waterpark with a hydro-jet spa, an interactive water-play structure, a current river, and a lap pool. Guests can fish or paddle boat on the on-site lake, or enjoy the lakeside lodge with its fireplace, library, card tables, game tables, and arcade.
Additionally, guests have access to a recreational park where they can play bocce ball, tennis, beach volleyball, and other games. There are also nature trails meandering through a pristine Maritime Forest making it the perfect escape for your family vacation.
Beach access is only a couple of minutes away with private beach parking across for Beachwoods guests (across the street from the Beach). If you want to visit other sections of the Beach in the Kitty Hawk area, there are any number of official beach access points.
Beachwoods is located conveniently in the middle of everything. Easy access to groceries, restaurants, shopping, and nearby ice cream or donut shops for those with a sweet tooth.
These dedicated 3BR/3BA units (2BR unit with Open Loft) are very large at over 1,800sq ft. which gives your family plenty of room. These units sleep a minimum of 10 people, and depending on what week you book, some of these units can sleep up to 12 people.
An added bonus that makes this a perfect unit for large families, or additional family and friends, is that it comes with 2 Full Kitchens, 2 Living Room areas, and 2 Dining areas, included in the privacy of a 1BR/1BA and a 2BR/2BA unit combined into a 3BR/3BA Lock-off.
All the 3BR/3BA Lock-off units at Beachwoods have the main living area on the 2nd floor, with a Loft bedroom with two single beds on the 3rd floor.
The "A" side of this 3BR/3BA lockout has a completely private and spacious Master Bedroom with King bed and private ensuite bathroom. There is a Loft bedroom with 2 Twin beds. This lockout unit has it's own exterior entry door and is completely private.
There is a full Kitchen with a Stove, Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc. Basic cooking utensils, glassware, silverware, and plates are provided. Pretty much everything you need to prepare any meal you want, big or small. There is a large counter with sit at bar and stools. There is also a Dining Area with large table and seating for up to 6 people.
There is a Queen Sleeper sofa in Living room. Directly off the Living Room area you have access to a porch for outdoor relaxation or dining. Another nice feature of this unit is that you have your own Washer / Dryer. All units have been recently renovated.
The "B" side of this 3BR/3BA lockout has a bedroom with a Queen bed. This lockout unit has it's own exterior entry door and is completely private. This makes it great for vacationing with In-laws or other family or friends.
There is a galley Kitchen w/full sized Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc. Basic cooking utensils, glassware, silverware, and plates are provided. Pretty much everything you need to prepare any meal you want, big or small.
Living room area w/Queen sleeper sofa and also a Dining Area with table and seating for up to 4 people.
There is a Washer / Dryer in the foyer area that is shared between the "A" and "B" units. Deck area for outdoor relaxation or dining.

However, these units all have the same basic floorplan (with slight differences), and the general decor and layout is reflected in the photos. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
STAIRS / ACCESSIBILITY:
Most properties in OBX have a certain number of stairs, so that buildings are elevated and protected in case of potential flooding that could be caused by hurricanes or major storms.
Almost all the units at this resort have a certain number of stairs leading to the Front Door of the unit, and / or interior stairs to a 2nd level (3rd bedroom).
GUEST ACCESS
This is a Resort property, so your unit will be private, but Amenities (Pools, Gym, Lodge, Game room, Playground, etc) will be shared with other Guests.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in. Your security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.
- Beachwoods is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Vacation Club. The Front Desk is staffed 24/7 for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.
- Check In time is 4:00pm (or after) and check out time is 10:00am. Please check with the resort Front Desk for any possibility of earlier unit availability and / or early use of the resort amenities during check-in days.
- Please note that once you Check In and get access to your unit, if you encounter any issues or concerns regarding Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc…please contact the Front Desk / Office IMMEDIATELY. The staff members on-site provide the best opportunity to get any concerns resolved in the fastest and most efficient manner.
- Please note that some of the photos may not be from the specific unit you will be assigned. However, they do reflect the general layout you can expect from various locations in the unit.
- FREE parking is included with this unit, up to 2 or 3 spots are available.
- There is no daily housekeeping provided. However, your unit comes with its own Washer / Dryer inside the unit. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay, it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the resort Front Desk.
- Bedding linens, blankets, pillows are provided, as are bath towels. If you need additional items or want fresh bedding linens or towels during your stay, please contact the Front Desk. Although bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, you may want to bring some of your own if you have a favorite pillow or blanket.
- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed.
- Pool towels are provided for free, and they can be exchanged for fresh ones on an unlimited basis.
- If your family owns and likes larger Beach Towels, I recommend bringing them, along with any other Beach Blankets / Chairs / Umbrellas / Equipment you want at the beach. If you don’t bring your own Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Equipment, etc you can rent them at several rental companies nearby.
- Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, shampoos, etc are all provided. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk and they can provide them. We have never personally had an issue receiving the supplies we needed. There is also a large super Wal-Mart conveniently located within just a couple minutes from the facility if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.
- Utensils, Dishes, and some basic Pots and Pans are provided. If something appears to be missing, you can contact the Front Desk and possibly get it dropped off (if they have it). However, if you plan on cooking a lot of meals inside your unit, or plan any special dishes, I do recommend bringing your favorite Large Frying pan (or Large Sauté Pan, Wok, Crockpot, etc, etc) for cooking. This way you will have something you are comfortable using and you will know exactly how things will cook in it. You may also want to bring your favorite Kitchen knife(s) for food prep.
- There is an on-site pond that is stocked with fish. You don’t need a license to fish in the pond, but it is catch and release. If you want to do some other fishing (surf, sound, pier), and keep what you catch, I’m sure you will need a fishing license. A Super Walmart is right around the corner from the property and sells licenses and gear.
- If the onsite waterpark isn't large enough for you the new and huge H2OBX Waterpark recently built in Powell's Point is only 13 miles away from Beachwoods
- If you or any members of your family enjoy bike riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bikes (if you have the means to do so). Remember to take your bike locks so you can lock up your bikes at the bike rack each night. You can also rent bikes from one of the nearby rental companies.
- Once reservations are confirmed, you will be asked for the name and address of the main guest who will check in, along with an email address to receive a personal confirmation.
- This is a timeshare resort but attending a presentation or taking a tour is NEVER required.
