La casa del árbol - un nido Pacífica acogedor para su Exuma Aventura

La casa del árbol se encuentra en la bahía de Antiguo Hooper, una urbanización privada apartada, en Gran Exuma. Este pequeño barrio tiene su propia playa privada, a pocos minutos a pie de la casa de campo, con gran snorkeling justo al lado de la orilla.

La casa del árbol está climatizado, cuenta con un dormitorio con cama queen-cama y vistas al mar, cocina totalmente equipada, baño con ducha a ras de suelo y lavandería. La sala de estar conduce a una terraza preciosa, con una vista fabulosa de la bahía de Hooper y el Atlántico más allá. La Casa del Árbol es el piso superior de un edificio de dos pisos (la planta baja es nuestro propio espacio de almacenamiento personal) y por lo tanto tiene una vista impresionante de la bahía de Hooper. Perfecto para una pareja, esta casa está disponible para alquiler por separado o en conjunto con Mayaguana Casa en grupos más grandes. (Ver Mayaguana Casa cotización en VBRO.)

I went on a solo trip here to Exuma. Decided on this little house, which would comfortably accommodate a married couple. Pam the owner greeted me there and checked to make everything was in order. The area is very safe with a private beach, and also a nice running trail I found through west side and up the hill over to the neighboring property. She has everything you need inside the property, just bring some basic things (coffee grounds, coconut oil for cooking, etc.) The stores in town carry what you you need it’s a little more costly just figure any food in the states and times it by 2, and that’s about what it will cost at the store in Exuma. My recommended to do’s: Fly fish (Stevie or Martin) Tropic of Cancer Beach Paddle with Tazan Snorkle (didn’t get to do this but wish I did) -HunterTexas

The Treehouse - GeorgeTown Bahamas

This place is absolutely perfect for 2 people! The property is beautiful and surrounded by trees and an ocean view of Hooper's Bay (10 minutes from the airport). Out front is this huge garden that you have to walk through to get to the private beach. I traveled the entire island and honestly walking through the garden and watching the peacocks on my way to the beach was my favorite part. The house has plenty of space, with a large kitchen, bedroom, and living room. I'll definitely be renting this place again....the location is perfect!This beach is about 150 yards from the house and its beautiful. While I do encourage people to drive the entire island, its really hard to not to just stay at the house and enjoy the view. We fast internet (StarLink), AC and everything else you would need. Really nice place!!!

Wonderful stay

It's hard to add much new to what previous visitors have already said here about The Tree House, beyond confirming it's all true. It made a virtually perfect base for our first visit to Exuma.We almost always had the beach to ourselves, and we made use of the paddleboard & kayaks provided. I'd recommend bringing snorkelling gear, as there's a little reef teeming with fish just off the beach that was a delight to float above.Pam & Bill were excellent & responsive hosts and a pleasure to chat to.

Magical

The property exceeded my expectations. It is in a beautiful location, peaceful, quiet, private, with a distinct character all of its own. The short stroll to the beach through spectacularly maintained tropical gardens was delightful. All the mechanicals worked flawlessly, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of clean fluffy towels, plenty of hot water, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The local lizards, frogs, peacocks, made me feel very welcome and very much at home. The semi private white sand beach is amazing. I could sit for a long time just staring out over Hooper's Bay, watching the water and the sky change color, and sea turtles that came very close to shore and were entertaining. The owners obviously love and care very much for this place, and it was a privilege to be able to stay there for ten days.

Great little cottage for 2 in great location!

The Tree House was the perfect cottage for my husband and I. Not too far from the airport or Georgetown. The neighborhood of Old Hooper's Bay is VERY private and quiet. OHB has it's own little beach with soft, white sand and great for kayaking or paddle boarding. The house has everything you could want. They recently upgraded to a bit larger tv and Direct TV Sat. From what we could tell though, no way to access Netflix or Amazon Prime (no Roku hookups found..?) We also enjoyed visits from a couple of peacocks during our stay. We were there during a VERY bad stretch of weather..extremely heavy rains, island wide flooding, some roads unpassable..it went on for about 10 days to 2 weeks, from what we were told. Unfortunately, the already fragile electrical system on island was stressed even more and our power went out several times, mainly after the bad weather stopped. Our last night, we actually went into town to spend the night at a hotel. Power wasn't an issue there and we really needed a good (cool) night's sleep and showers before flying home. Pam was a wonderful host. She communicated with us and answered any questions while we were there, responding quickly. Even though she didn't have to (and we didn't ask for one) she refunded our last night. The issues we had were out of anyone's control. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Tree House and stay there again :-)

Just what we needed!

The Treehouse was the perfect spot for my partner and I to enjoy a low key and restful vacation. It’s a quick drive from the airport and has a market just down the road. The private beach was just lovely. We were the only ones there about 80% of the time. There’s some nice large trees so we were able to sit in the shade without worrying about an umbrella (though there is one at the house) and we used the supplied beach chairs most days. We even saw some turtles swimming by one day! The Treehouse is just a quick little stroll to the beach through a beautifully maintained garden. The house itself had everything we needed to make ourselves some quick and easy dinners with food from the market. Pam was lovely and responsive any time we had a question. We had a fantastic time and will be back soon!

Absolutely Amazing!

The view from the porch was absolutely spectacular. The house was perfect for 2 people. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was nice and comfy. The AC kept us nice and cool at night. The walk to the beach was so fun! I thought it was going to be troublesome, but walking to and from the beach was one of my favorite daily activities (It’s only about a 5-minute walk). The gardens are so beautiful. The semi-private beach was breathtaking. We are early morning people, so most days we spent hours on the beach with no one around. Pam was an amazing host and was very quick to respond to any questions. The house is in a great location, close to the airport and Georgetown. It is off the main road and you are in a secluded little nook with a great view. It was a short drive to the grocery store and restaurants. I highly recommend Shirley’s! Pam also has great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the island. Be mindful that the internet is spotty on the island, but our cell service worked great. We enjoyed the disconnect from the internet and spent our time walking the beach and reading books. (I only mention it in case you are thinking about coming there to do a lot of work requiring the internet and this does not reflect a problem with the house, but a part of being on the Out Islands) This was by far one of the best vacations I have ever had. I would come back to Exuma and this house in a heartbeat!!!!

Perfect house for a couple retreat

We absolutely loved the tree house, it's so cozy and comfortable and the view is just outstanding. We weren't sure about having to walk to the beach but turns out it's a lovely stroll and you're there in a heartbeat. Also the beautiful rock garden you're walking through makes it very enjoyable. The privat beach is just perfect, most of the time we had it to ourselves. Highly recommend this rental property! Thank you Pam for a wonderful stay , you are a great host and always quick to respond!

Tropical Paradise

We loved our week in the Treehouse;,coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the turquoise waters of Old Hoopers Bay. Swimming and snorkeling on the private beach. Private, quiet, comfortable , well equipped. Highly recommended.

Exuma Excellence

Loved our stay here, the view, the gardens, the private beach ! Just what we wanted, so very peaceful and private. Have stayed in many rentals and this is by far our favorite. The Tree House is the Perfect Retreat

We had a wonderful experience at the Tree House. It had everything we needed, and the view of the ocean is simply unbeatable. The garden path down to the beach is an amazing walk through more types of flora than I could count. The hosts were unbelievably gracious, even giving us fresh fruit to enjoy for sunset on the beach. Location in the center of Great Exuma is also ideal, and we were able to get everywhere we needed to go with a rental car. Also, the property has wild peacocks that are allowed to roam free— so cool! If you are visiting Exuma as a couple, I can’t imagine a better place to stay than the Tree House!!

BEST. PLACE. EVER.

This property is a dream! The location is outstanding, right in the middle of the island and only a short drive from the airport and Georgetown. Pam thought of absolutely everything to make our stay wonderful and it certainly was. We made excellent use of the beach park and there is even a little reef to snorkel if you’re up for it! We spent a lot of time on the spacious porch overlooking the bay, and it was a great spot for sunrises and sunsets! Even the bed was amazingly comfortable. Everything we needed to cook was available, and although we did not spend much time inside, it was very homey and had the best island touches. We will be back!!!

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at the tree house. Close to the beach and the little park down by the water. House is very well equipped and super clean! Next time we visit the Exuma we definitely would love to stay here again.

Favorite place on the island!

This Tree House packs a lot of punch! Very well thought out and it lacks for nothing. The neighborhood is lovely with lots of vegetation and it’s own private beach. The area is very convenient to all the amenities the island has to offer as it is right in the middle. You are close to the airport and Georgetown as well as restaurants in either direction. The home itself is very clean and bright with lots of Bahamian flavor! Washer and dryer is a huge plus. Communication with the owner is swift and timely and they have left a binder in the house full of information and their recommendations. Don’t miss out on the Tree House...it is a gem!

We loved the treehouse. The screened windows and the view of the water and treetops command relaxation. About a 5 minute walk down to the private beach to read in hammocks, swim and play in the sand.

I have been coming to Exuma since 1969. It is still the wonderful island that I discovererd that year. Sure, a few things have changed. Instead of drinking Tang like the astronauts, we can now buy orange juice. Instead of driving to George Town to make a phone call, we now have our personal cell phones and FAST Starlink internet and TV reception! But the charm of the island remains the same. The water is still turquoise, the beaches still pristine, the Exumians still friendly and kind hearted. Am I biased? Probably! Do I love it? Yes! And you will, too, after spending time here.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Whereas many of the homes are located right on the Queen's Highway, which runs along the island on the east side, our home is located in Old Hooper's Bay. Old Hooper's Bay is conveniently situated just 5 miles from George Town, BUT it is a 30 acre compound reached by our private road from the highway. You must drive in, up and over a significant verdant hill to reach the main section of the compound. This 1/4 mile distance provides a luxurious insulator from the traffic on the Queen's Highway. Plus our views of Hooper's Bay and the Atlantic beyond are spectacular! The private road deters wanderers. The Old Hooper's Beach Park is shared by the 9 homes in the compound. No worries about over-crowding! We are very blessed!
