El Yough Riverhouse (YRH) tiene capacidad para 12 personas, está en el sendero para bicicletas River y GAP.
Ubicado en la ciudad de Confluence, cerca de Lucky Dog Cafe y Riversport, en el corazón de las montañas Laurel Highlands.
YRH está en el río Yough en las aguas de la presa, al lado del sendero para bicicletas Great Allegheny Passage y rodeado de más de 50 acres de bosques protegidos Y a poca distancia de la ciudad. * Nota: Western PA Conservancy compró recientemente los bosques que rodean la casa. ¡Senderos en las obras!* *
YRH tiene un gran patio, un relajante porche delantero con sillas Adirondack y una bañera de hidromasaje en la terraza junto a la sala de estar / cocina. La casa es de 3000 pies cuadrados y cuenta con una espaciosa sala de estar con hermosa chimenea de piedra, salón con pisos de madera, comedor, cocina completa y sala de barro. Hay 3 baños completos, uno abajo y 2 arriba. Las 5 habitaciones de arriba tienen unidades de aire acondicionado con ventana. Hay: un dormitorio principal con rey (y un doble), 3 habitaciones con reinas y 1 habitación con gemelos. Hay 1 pequeño espacio adicional para dormir con un futón doble en la planta baja para los huéspedes que no suben escaleras.

Everything was great! Kara is a great host and was very attentive. The house was clean and very spacious. Outside was where we spent most of our time. The fire pit is clutch and the proximity to the river was quite relaxing. We had a great time!

Three generations enjoyed a wonderful vacation at the Riverhouse.

Yough Riverhouse was perfect for our family vacation. We had 5 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room to spread out. The front porch was perfect for my morning coffee where it was so peaceful and the littles loved the porch swing. My son in law enjoyed building a campfire everyday and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was adequately supplied and the property was well maintained.We traveled to places nearby- Idelwilde amusement park , Flight 93 memorial, Living Treasures animal reserve and finally Ohiopyle where we hiked to Cucumber Falls and some of us went down the natural water slide. The house is a bit remote as far as nice restaurants , but we just planned a bit more.

The house is awesome and the owners are very responsive. When we had an issue with the hot tub, they got someone over to the place within a half hour to fix it. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

2nd Family Gathering at Yough Riverhouse

We enjoyed our second stay as much as the first! We discovered even more to do in the area this year. The house is comfortable and well setup for a fairly large group. The kids love, love, love the large yard and the adults had plenty of space to visit, or chill alone.

Relaxing getaway

The lovely Riverhouse was the perfect place to get together for a family reunion in June. We enjoyed biking and hiking, cooking on the grill, relaxing on the front porch, and chilling around the campfire every night. Of course the kids loved playing at the beach and splashing in Yough lake. Other family members with kids stayed at the Treehouse up the road, which was very convenient. Just wish we could have stayed longer! One or two of the bedrooms upstairs got a little warm, so a fan might come in handy for visitors in the summer.

Most beautiful setting ever!!!

To celebrate a special person’s 70th birthday, we had a mostly occupied house that was totally enjoyed! Even though it rained about half the time, the large front porch and swing got a lot of use. We were also able to have campfires and cookouts twice in between the rains. The fire ring area and outside seating and eating spaces were great too. We used the adjacent bike trails for biking and hiking. Some adventured into the small town of Confluence which was within walking distance. Some of the guests rode to Ohiopyle for additional hikes or bike rides. Right across the bridge was a nice ice cream and take out spot. On the last night, the very nice hot tub was used by the small group remaining. The house is beautifully furnished and comfortably furnished. Whole house A/C we did not even use until the second day. The smaller rooms upstairs were a bit stuffy but there were numerous fans available for those who wanted to use them. The house was well supplied also!!! Loved it!

Wonderful house and location!

We had a great visit over the holiday weekend! The house was clean and spacious and well maintained and provided everything we needed and more! The proximity to walking/biking trails and the river was a huge plus for us. The River House has many things to offer in its immediate surroundings, but is also a quick drive into the park or other areas for additional hiking/activities. We had a great visit with family and are looking forward to our trip next year!

Perfect Getaway

This house met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations. Plenty of space for our whole party and the house was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances we needed and the hot tub provided the perfect relaxation after a long day of activities. The river is just a 30 second stroll out the front door and all the amenities of town are just a 2 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Yough valley.

Fantastic stay in Confluence

This is a great property that I can’t imagine anyone could ever regret renting! My family & I (8 people, 4 couples) enjoyed it SO much. Some highlights are: excellent overall standard of cleanliness; nice & clean hot tub; great water pressure (if you’ve ever stayed where it’s not great you know how important that is!); nice grill; very well-equipped kitchen; great internet service. Even more important, the property is in a fantastic location, right across from the beautiful river & walking distance to the Great Allegheny Passage trail; also very close to Confluence while still being in a quiet spot. The property owner was easy & pleasant to communicate with. If I was forced to say anything negative, the only thing I could think of is that it is an older home in a woodsy area, so there are inevitably insects that make their way inside the house. Also, the house is not what I would call fancy - if you’re expecting new paint, flooring, furniture, etc., it doesn’t have it. But we found it quite comfortable & clean, & ideal for a family - so many great spaces to gather inside and out.

Awesome anniversary long weekend

Absolutely Beautiful

We all had a wonderful family weekend. The house is actually much larger than it looked in the photos. Location was perfect and all of us ages 5 through 71 enjoyed the peaceful weekend we all needed. We could not have asked for a more beautiful house and location. Having a hot tub in November made the weekend even more relaxing! Thank you!

Comfortable and convenient river home

This was our group's 11th yearly trip to the Yough Riverhouse. We enjoyed the updates in the home (flooring, outdoor walkways, porch swing and the roomy dumpster). The new siding looks very nice as well. The home always gives us plenty of places to gather, both indoor and out. The hot tub, fire ring and porch overlooking the river are our favorite outdoor spaces. Indoor, we gathered in the TV room to watch the Olympics and played games into the night at the dining table. The beds are comfy, although the lack of air conditioning in the master can leave that room stuffy. Luckily we have a few girls wo like it hot! There were 2 working fans that helped to circulate the air. We enjoy biking the trails and walking through town, visiting the few shops along the way. We usually float down the Yough but it was a little too rainy and chilly this year. There's something for everyone. We'll be back next year. Thanks Kara and John.

Friend reunion

We had a great time at the riverhouse. Very good location and loved the access to the river. Was a good place for the families to reunite and kids to enjoy one another. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved it!

Perfect size for everyone to stay. The house had all the things we needed for having meals together. The grill and hot tub were also great. The beds were a little rough, but we often have a hard time sleeping somewhere other than home anyway. The outdoor activities were awesome! Biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, and more! We will likely be back in the future.

Private and perfect

Wonderful property in a private area with no traffic. Directly across from the river with access. Close to bike trail. House was very clean and had everything we needed. I was very happy with this property and would definitely return.

A couple of updates would make this place great.

Booking was super easy, check-in was seamless. The property has a lot of lovely outdoor space, and it’s location on the river is perfect. There were lovely touches, like games, and a chalkboard, laundry soap, and some cool-looking furniture. The house was clean and spacious. The biggest issue for us were the beds and the upstairs carpet. The upstairs carpet needs replacing— In The pictures it looks OK, but in real life, it feels tired. Additionally, the mattresses appear to be quite old. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Many Thumbs Up!

Our multigenerational family of 8 adults and 2 youngsters had an absolutely wonderful stay. There’s room enough to be comfortable inside the house - but it was the lovely outdoor areas that made our stay truly special. Luckily the weather was awesome and we were able to eat meals in the picnic area and spend our nights around the fire pit.

continued from Treehouse page.. When a group of owners decided to sell their weekend home and the surrounding 50 acres of land across from the Treehouse, we originally tried to buy the land. Our fear was that someone would buy it and cut down the trees. The sellers were set on selling the whole package and the idea of having another vacation rental home was born. The best part of the deal was we worked out a sale with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (Fallingwater) to purchase the 50 acres and conserve it. It was a dream come true and now Confluence has this wonderful asset--spanning from the Yough to the Casselman River--and hiking trails are in the works! We are proud and fortunate that we are able to share this home and space and helped facilitate the conservation of a special piece of land.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We started with one vacation rental (the Treehouse) with the goal of just being able to keep our home, rather than selling it when we moved. We never intended to have another, but when the opportunity came up to purchase the land across from our beloved Treehouse and the house came with it, another rental made perfect sense. The Treehouse was always booked and only sleeps 6. We were always getting asked if we have room for more, so having a bigger home to rent out made sense. The house, location and setting were ideal and Yough Vacation Rentals was born.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Riverhouse has a fantastic, spacious downstairs. The stone (gas) fireplace in the living room is beautiful, there are hardwood floors in the drawing room and plenty of room and seating for everyone to be comfortable. The view of the river from the front porch is outstanding. One step out of the car from a long drive and instantly you are on vacation!
Don't forget the convenience to town, the quiet, the surrounding woods, strolling down to Lucky Dog Cafe for lunch or dinner, drinking coffee while reading the paper on the porch, basically no traffic on our one lane road, the eagles, heron and osprey, the fishing and the proximity to the bike trail, oh and the river!
