Water views to die for! Come and unwind in the sand in the backyard of this lovely house. This beautiful cottage is going to give the most comfortable and quaint coastal experience on the eastern shore! Read your favorite book in the sunroom while listening to the sounds of the ocean, or enjoy the firepit in your private sandy backyard. You'll find everything you need in our well-stocked kitchen, And with three bedrooms including a queen, full, and twin beds, guests can enjoy a serene stay in this excellent property. (Bedrooms located on the second floor.) Towels, soap, shampoo, toilet papers, linens - all are provided. Complete with heating, AC and WiFi, this lovely home also features two bathrooms with showers. And the best part? There is a bonus detached bedroom/office with a half-bathroom for extra space! So kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Norfolk and our house has to offer!

A wonderful home in a busy but lovely community with several excellent dining options. The house was clean and the provisions in the home were more generous than most. From the excellent beds and kitchen - to the games and beach toys it was wonderful. We stayed when it was cold out but enjoyed having the beach to ourselves. The owner was responsive and timely with each request. Highly recommend.

Great host -- good communication and responsiveness, and he contacted us to let us know we could check in early. House was clean and well provisioned. Lovely views and access to the beach. The queen sized beds in the two main bedrooms were very comfortable and the furniture in the living room is comfortable as well. House feels smaller than the advertised size, but not cramped. Steep stairs with all bedrooms upstairs, which might be a challenge for older guests.

It is a lovely property right on the bay. We have really happy memories of Ocean View and the beach over the past decade. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Because of adverse weather we made the most of the Florida Room. The walk to the beach was so convenient and easy. Dilshad is a great host. We loved our stay and plan to be back soon.

The property is maxing, the beach is literally your backyard! There is room for two cars to park easily, although there is a rather steep curb right at the edge of the driveway which scraped the bottom of my car (my guess is it’s in case of flooding). The instructions were clear and communication was great. It was a lovely weekend.

House was very cute. I don't think there is anything you could possibly need that's not already there. Host was quick to answer any questions and even offered a late checkout. The beach was beautiful. We had it almost all to ourselves and it was great to be able to take our dogs. We did have to put a chair over the cactuses and block the walkway along the side that went out to the front on a very busy road. We had a great week! really the only thing that we didn't like was the road traffic noise from out front, but that's probably just us because we're not used to it.

Great place!

We had a great time staying here! The beach house had all the beach essentials we needed--towels, kayaks, paddleboards, etc. It had everything in the kitchen we needed to prepare meals at the house and was in a great location. The property manager was very responsive and check-in/out was very easy. Would definitely recommend!

Great little escape

Really great stay! Helpful notes around the house, nice amenities, and just an all around cute property. The outdoor space isn’t fully fenced (drawback for those bringing dogs) and you could hear moderate road traffic at night/early morning.

Fantastic Place!

This was a great place. Kitchen was well stocked, and owner provided many amenities which was greatly appreciated. There is a path from the back yard, right to the beach. It was awesome! Owner was very responsive, and the house was very clean. We had one beach day and invited my brother and his grandkids over for the day and the kids had a blast! Great place for families.

Amazing house right by the ocean!

The house was better than the description! We truly had our own private path to the ocean and we practically had the whole beach to ourselves every time we went down. If we ever go back to the Norfolk area, we are staying there! Highly recommend!

Great start

Beautiful home with many amenities. The direct access to the beach was perfect just bring your wagon and load up for a quick walk to the bay. Bess are comfortable but very very very squeaky.

Awesome beach trip

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house had so many amazing features, including a sun room where we could enjoy the view even during a couple rain showers. All sorts of necessities were available that made our stay even more convenient, like seasonings a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of linens, The decor was stylish and comfortable.The outside setup was amazing and would be perfect for a family. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall we had a great trip. The access to the water was incredible and the house was pretty nice and clean. We especially enjoyed the all season porch. The amenities like a well stocked kitchen, easy check in, and wifi were great. We had a little trouble getting in and out of the driveway due to it being pretty steep, but one of our cars was a truck, so we just drove that all week. Also, although the bedrooms were comfortable, there was very little storage or flat spaces for storage in the "kids" bedroom.

Great spot! Had everything you could need, very clean and updated, perfect layout for beachhouse. Quality kitchen if you chose to prepare meals.. Less than a minute walk to ocean made it perfect for the many trips back and forth with kids without having to haul everything. Yard had great amount of shade when it got too hot, firepit for cooler evenings, downstairs 2nd full bath was perfect for girls plenty of things to do inside if you have bad weather. Detached room with 1/2 bath great for possible unexpected guests. Had great time wish we booked for few more days.

Very pleased with how nice this house was. We chose this location because it was just over the I64 tunnel and we were in town for concerts at the Hampton Coliseum. Really fast and easy to get there and back from the shows each night. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available along with kayaks. House was spacious and well provisioned. We were a little concerned with the location being next to an apartment building, but we had no issues at all. The only issue was the parking. If you have a low profile vehicle (ie not an SUV) the lip from the street to the parking spot will bottom out your front air dam underneath the car. Solution was to come in at an angle and problem solved. But the first entry was a loud scrape, fortunately with no damage. Be aware of this and you'll be fine. Would recommend!

A neat, reasonably priced property in a great location with direct access to the beach. The host was prompt in responding to communications, the rooms were clean, and our family had a wonderful stay.A few things to note:The master bedroom mattress was very firm and a little hard on mine and my husband's backs, and we had pressure point aches most mornings. Consider bringing a mattress topper if you have back or joint issues.The pots and pans available in the kitchen were either very small or very large, so consider bringing your own cookware if you plan to stay long and do much cooking on site. There were no boxes of facial tissues that we could find, so bring kleenex if you prefer that to blowing your nose with toilet paper.These were all tolerable issues in light of the easy access to the beach and the firepit to gather around and make s'mores in the evening!We would recommend this property and would consider staying again!

Unwind and Relax at this charming beach house

We enjoyed 4 days and 3 nights at this cute home. The house was just perfect for our family and we throughly enjoyed the porch and back yard which is where we spent most of our time. The house had everything we needed and more. The walk down to the beach was beautiful and it felt like we had our own private beach. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is a great place. Neighbors are close in proximity, but we never really saw anyone and it was all quiet. We did meet one lovely neighbor and again- lovely people with no issues. Owner was super quick to respond to all my questions. He went above and beyond for us. Probably the best owner we have encountered. We are looking forward to booking again.
