Located on the Point, and right where you want to be. Take a seat on the porch rockers and enjoy your beach views. It's a 1 block walk to the beach, and 3 blocks to restaurants, brew pubs, shops, marinas, and even a tiki-bar. Time to start enjoying.

House is originally from 1910 but was renovated in 2019, and finished up in 2024. We are ready to welcome you to our our golf cart community with both historic charm and modern amenities. A lovely cottage to relax and unwind, an excellent choice for your getaway.

2 ground floor bedrooms, 2 bedrooms upstairs. Both bathrooms are on the ground floor. Large kitchen, with a table for 6. Double oven and plenty of kitchen tools if you like to cook.

The worst part was having to leave. Home is beautiful, clean, and more than enough space. Kathy was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything we needed. That front porch…….. was great for morning coffee and mimosas and evening cocktails. Convenient location and walking distance to many shops and restaurants! Thanks so much…we had a great stay!

Excellent Home

The perfect home close to everything! The house is spacious, comfortable, and clean. It had a little of everything and with the little fenced yard was perfect for having our dog. The location is great with only a short walk to the beach (under 5minutes with kids) and the town is just a few blocks to many restaurants and shops. Definitely will be returning.

This is a beautiful home. This is Our second stay this year in this wonderful cottage. We love the water view from the comfortable chairs on the beautiful front porch. Our Host was amazing. She left awesome treats for us and had a basket of toys out for our four year old niece. This home is so clean and is so close to things to do. We love it and we look forward to staying at this cottage again.

House was clean, and as described in the listing. Very welcoming and stocked with all the necessities and more.Ownwer was amazing and made the entire process simple and enjoyable. We liked it so much we made reservation to go back before we even left.

Wonderful cottage with an amazing host!

We had a family gathering in CB for the 4th of July and our son’s birthday. Kathy, the host was so friendly, accommodating, and responsive. The house was super clean, has lots of charm, was nice and cool, and the location was perfect. We loved sitting on the front porch and gazing at the water. The house is located super close to the beach, town, and the bay. We were so happy to be able have our dog join us in the house as well! This is a gem in sweet little Colonial Beach!

Fantastic week-long stay with my spouse and two dogs in October. Very clean house, large updated kitchen, nice updated bathrooms, front porch for sitting and enjoying river views, and the neighbors waive when they drive by! Friendly community who is welcoming to short-term renters—had so many conversations with locals. Enjoyed the easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and pier. Rented a golf cart to get around which was so much fun! Really quiet area which was exactly what we wanted.Host is very nice, easy comms, and good restaurant recommendations. No issues bringing our two medium-size dogs who enjoyed daily walks and smells on the beach area.

Home away from home

The host is amazing and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. All the comforts of home and spacious. The property is well maintained and has a private backyard. And they are dog friendly. I travel with my dog all the time and I really needed a spot to stay on short notice that allowed dogs. 10 stars from me.

Wonderful Weekend

We loved this beautiful cottage. It was so nice and clean and offered many extras we did not expect. The front porch was made for relaxing. We enjoyed the view and the comfortable rockers. Kathy was so pleasant and so easy to work with. She surprised me with gluten free cookies and a wonderful bottle of wine. Our grand dog Winnie was welcome to be there and that meant a lot to us. We plan to visit this beautiful cottage again.

WOW,WOW,WOW! What a lovely home. Kathy was a super hostess. The house has everything you need and more to have a wonderful stay. The yard is fenced in and kept our small puppers safe and sound. You are in walking distance to the beach/river. Also, there are many eating places of all kinds, brewery/coffee shops, and yes, even ice cream. We will be back!!!

My family and I started as weekenders in Colonial Beach (2007). In 2022, my husband and I moved full time after he retired. We have been renting our original home for the last 3 years and have enjoyed meeting folks and helping to make their vacation or business trip a little better.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The people, peacefulness, quiet, kindness, golf carts, sunrises, sunsets, eagles, osprey, birds! And ALL the live music! These are just some of the reasons we came to Colonial Beach. Not many places where you can find 4-5 different live music acts 4-5 days a week, all within a golf cart ride.

Being 90 minutes from Fairfax/Centreville, and other Northern Virginia areas; 60-75 minutes to DC; 15 minutes to the 301 bridge and entering into Maryland. So - we are close enough to the city, but far enough that you feel the stress fall away when you pull into town.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are on "the point", which makes it #1 for location, location, location. We are not beach front, but we are 1 block to the beach and have a beautiful clear line of site to the beach. And, per my guests - we have the best front porch!
