Beautiful and quiet location with all the amenities we needed: Complete kitchen with many dishes, appliances, and utensils; full-size washer and dryer; lovely covered patio with seating; Smart TV with wi-fi and comfy chairs; soap and conditioner in the showers. We prepared all but two of our meals during our 10-day stay in the cabin and it worked out very well.
Kitchen with side-by-side fridge with ice, electric range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, electric griddle, drip coffee maker, slow cooker, blender, and deep fryer.

Enchanting

Being able to wake up and go have my coffee on a covered patio with ceiling fans to keep cool despite the summer heat. Even in the middle of the day with temps hitting 98, I was so comfortable. My oldest marveled over the beautiful kitchen, and we all had a great time being able to clean our crystals off from Wegner Mine.

Perfect get-away

We loved our stay at Shady Pines! The location is nice and close to Mt Ida, but far enough out of town to be super quiet and peaceful. The beds were both very comfortable and the rooms both had plenty of space to settle into. The chest of drawers in both rooms were both more than enough for our clothes as well and didn't even needs the closet. The bathrooms were well done, had solid water pressure and had enough space. The kitchen was nice, had plenty of counter space and covered everything we needed for our stay. The living room was very comfortable, I loved those recliners!We really enjoyed the outdoor space as well. There was a good table and 4 chairs for playing games and having a few drinks on the porch. We didn't use the BBQ grill, but it looked like a solid option as well. The crystal washing table was a nice touch as we picked up a few on our hikes. Also, if you're into stargazing or astrophotography, the night sky here is fantastic. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. It's a beautiful space that felt very warm and inviting. We'll definitely book this one again on our next trip to the area.

My husband and I built Shady Pines Cottage with "whole" families in mind. This includes children and pets! Our dog, who is no longer with us, was always our biggest concern when we were going to travel. Offering the opportunity for families to bring all of their members creates a much better experience for everyone. With that, we wanted to offer others all of things that we have desired in a host property.

We chose this location because it is set in a beautiful natural landscape. Overlooking a pond, and offering the opportunity to see wild animals; rabbits, squirrels, deer, birds, etc. We wanted this space to feel safe and serene for those needing to get away from the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives.

Our property is the perfect retreat for individuals and families that want to getaway and enjoy the beautiful nature here in Arkansas. Our outdoor patio space, is an outdoor living space, that invites the ourdoors in. We also provide an outdoor crystal/rock washing station for the crystal/rock enthusiasts.
