The space
The apartment is on the first floor of a two level 1920s duplex in a quiet historical neighborhood of Richmond. The apartment has an open floor plan with a full kitchen, including a stove, full sized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Between the kitchen and the living room is an open area with a small table and chairs. The bathroom and bedroom are located off of the main living space. The bathroom has been completely renovated with a walk-in tiled shower and brand new fixtures. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a hanging space for clothes. The apartment has a newly installed central AC and heat which is controlled independently from the rest of the house as well as radiator heat.

The apartment opens into a green and shaded backyard with a fire pit, lounge chairs and hammock which you are free to use. If you have kids there is a playhouse, sandbox and a trampoline in the backyard. Feel free to also use the large wrap around porch on the front of the house which has a sitting area, table and gas grill. The porch has a great view of the neighborhood and there is always a breeze!
Other things to note
This apartment is a part of a duplex so it’s possible you’ll hear other guests upstairs. The two units are not connected from the inside. Please take this into consideration when booking.

If you are bringing a dog, we ask that they remain on a leash at all times when in the yard. This is because the fence does not fully enclose the yard and they could easily get out. We are in a nice neighborhood for walking and there is a huge park right down the street. We also ask that pets stay off the furniture and beds.

The backyard is a shared space with the other unit so please be respectful of other guests on the property!
