The host was very good with communicating and providing a safe and clean space. The apartment was in a prime location, close to a lot of tourist attractions, and safe. The apartment itself was very clean! 10/10 would book again!

We had a great visit to NYC! This midtown location is ideal for walks to broadway/times square/central park/hi line etc. Area felt safe. Host communication and flexibility in accommodating a late check out was highly appreciated. As noted, unit is located on busy multi lane street/bike lanes and as such, was noisy throughout the night. Also as noted, it is a 3 story walk up and the carpet on stairs is worn and shredding/lifting in spots potentially creating a tripping safety issue. And yes, rooms are adjoined and require pass through to get from room to room and with futon open, the passing space is quite narrow but it's all doable. It's good to just be aware, if this is not what you have in mind. For us, it met our needs without any issues.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im dritten Stock mit einem sehr steilen Treppenaufgang. Wir haben unsere großen Koffer zunächst nach oben getragen und sie beim Auschecken unten gepackt , weil es nicht möglich war, sie die Treppe wieder hinunterzutragen.Die Wohnung liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße, und durch den starken Lärm rund um die Uhr hat man das Gefühl, direkt auf der Straße zu schlafen.Die Fenster sind beschädigt. Zusätzlich wurde eine Maus in der Wohnung entdeckt, die sich an unseren Lebensmitteln zu schaffen gemacht hat.Außerdem gibt es in der gesamten Wohnung keinen Spiegel, nur einen kleinen im Badezimmer.Alle Stühle sind an der Sitzfläche in der Mitte beschädigt.Ich kann die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Insgesamt hat die Unterkunft unsere Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt.

Great location, exactly as described. Only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was because the bed between the kitchen and bedroom was too big for the space. I had to turn sideways and side step to get passed it(I'm thin built wearing a size 4 clothing for reference).Host was very helpful and responded to my questions in a timely manner. Check in and check out went smoothly.

For a Broadway weekend and a NYC tourist weekend this stay was excellent. The apartment was as described and very clean. The owner was responsive and helpful. Loved our NYC trip!

Lovely cozy apartment in Hells Kitchen … bought a few groceries and cooked with all supplies needed in kitchen plus ate out at nearby different fun restaurants … so convenient we walked to the theaters for Broadway plays … and to MOMA and Central Park and Rockefeller Center. Loved being so centrally located and enjoyed being near to pick-up for the Big Bus Tours.

Perfect for us.

Check-in was pretty easy and the communication with Rikki was great. Kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is small but that is not a problem. We visited at an incredibly hot time so the air conditioners had a hard time coping but that would have been anywhere. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable and my grandson slept on the futon and had no complaints. We ate breakfast in and got back to the apartment late, so it worked great for us.

This was the best priced accommodation with a kitchen in Manhattan. It will suit your basic needs and can be a comfortable place to rest after a day of walking. You will get to feel what real tenement living is like! You can use the stove, fridge, microwave and eat together at a table to save money on meals. The place was well stocked with needed utensils, pans etc. Towels were provided. You will need to bring your own soap, wash cloths. Shampoo/conditioner provided. The host is very responsive. Please be advised, box air conditioners struggle to keep the place cool, being that it is an old building on the top floor. You will be asked to not run the air conditioners when not in the building, causing the apartment to heat up while you are out. Took approximately 2 hours for air conditioners to cool down the apartment upon entering. Use of oven will create sweltering conditions. There were many partially broken items and touchy shower controls. Placement of one of the beds is in a hallway and you have inches of space to squeeze around it. Needs to be folded during the day to avoid tripping on it. For a family of 2 children, we moved the 2nd bed into the bedroom, which worked for us, but be aware, if your 2nd party needs privacy, there will not be any for them. You will need to walk past them if you need to use the kitchen or restroom at night. Be prepared for a grungy entryway, stairs are in disrepair, you will need to be strong and careful to haul your luggage up and down them

NYC visit

The property was perfect for our family vacation to New York. It’s in a great mid-town location that was safe and close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Apartment is clean but has issues

The apartment was very clean. The address was misleading. This is a 3 story walk up, 48 steps, shabby ripped carpeting on the stairs. Good for young people who don't mind all those stairs but were a bit much for us, especially with luggage. Apartment itself was bare bones. Kitchen was well appointed but the owner could use some lamps in the bedroom instead of just a bright overhead light. Very spartan. Beds were comfortable. Not great overall.

Great stay!

The location is pretty close to Times Square and is easily accessible to transportation, with many options for food within walking distance. A bit of street noise at night - but that’s expected in this territory! The host was super responsive and kind! I do recommend some sort of full length mirror or additional mirrors in the space to help with getting ready haha. Other than that, lovely stay and got exactly what was advertised! Thank you :)
