Lionfish Cottage is a private retreat designed for two, blending comfort with a peaceful natural setting. Guests describe their stay here as “beautiful, peaceful, and healing” — and many return again and again.
Wake up in nature
Wake up to the sounds of birds and visits from hummingbirds at the feeders on your balcony. From your bed, it feels like you’re floating in the clouds, with magnificent views of Nonsuch Falls, Blue Mountain Peak, and the Portland coastline stretched out before you. Many guests say waking up here is the highlight of their trip.
Comfort and amenities
Lionfish Cottage measures about 625 square feet (58 m²), giving you plenty of space to relax while still feeling cozy. The cottage includes a plush king-sized bed (convertible to two twin beds if preferred), a private bathroom, and an outdoor balcony kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner hotplate, microwave, electric kettle, pots, pans, and all the essentials for preparing simple meals or enjoying coffee and tea. Dining outside on the balcony with the sound of birds around you is a guest favorite.

You can swing in the hammock, watch the light shift across the mountains, or spend the afternoon by the 25-meter lap pool. David is a former freediving world record holder and underwater photographer. His love for the sea is reflected throughout the cottages, where many of the photos on the walls are his own. They bring a glimpse of Jamaica’s vibrant underwater world into your stay and connect you to the island’s natural beauty.
Stef has a sharp eye for detail and a passion for health and wellness. She makes sure each cottage is cared for with meticulous attention, creating a clean and calming environment. Her care shows in the little touches that make your stay comfortable and worry-free.
We also invite guests to visit the Guango Boutique, located right here on the property. It’s a reflection of Stef’s creativity and love of wholesome living. You’ll find her homemade granola, free-range chicken eggs, refreshing kefir water, and her beautifully handcrafted jewelry from her line LaTige. The boutique offers a chance to take home a piece of Searenity — whether it’s something delicious, nourishing, or uniquely designed.
When we’re not caring for the cottages, you’ll often find us outdoors — diving, hiking, or exploring waterfalls with our family. Hosting gives us the opportunity to share this way of life with people from around the world who value peace, nature, and the slower pace that makes Portland so special.
