Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the stay was great. It was in a great location. No view of thee mountains, but the area of the town is super cute. The home was in good shape and clean, except for the jets in the tubs, which were really moldy visually on the outside and esp when you run the jets, so you would have to run the water, run the jets, let them clear and then drain the water, then refill. They could use a routine cleaning. The vacation rental management staff were very helpful and were available via text which was great. The water pressure in the showers was horrible. Very hard to wash off. They are the waterfall showers, but very little pressure. The pool table was great fun for the kids, but the pockets have holes in them so the balls will fall out and sound like they are coming through the ceiling.

They staff is always helpful with anything and are great at getting things done in a timely manner. This is the only place I’ve been where they allow you to check in as soon as your cabin is ready.

The only drawback was that if you were in the 2nd-floor or 3rd-floor bedroom, you could hear very clearly what was on the TV from the floor below or above, even the sound of a text message alert on a cell phone. (We didn't occupy the basement-floor bedroom, so it's the main-floor and 3rd-floor rooms.) Other than that we loved everything about it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was clean and well laid out. Locations was nice in the Arts and Crafts district so it was nice to be off the bustle of the strip. The location and layout worked perfect for our family. With two older kids, everyone got their own floor so that was cool. Would also work very well for two families with the kids sharing the bunk bed. We stayed in early October and the leaves had not fallen yet so the view was of trees. I think next time I’d pick a cabin a bit higher up for a clearer mountain view. A couple of downsides. The theatre only allows you to play a DVD or hook up via HDMI. No cable/streaming TV and no gaming systems. So be aware if you plan to use that. Also, the TV in the main living room is very small. And I’m not sure if it was just me but the mattress in the main floor bed was not great. I felt like these things would be reasonable upgrades to take the cabin from great to amazing.

My five grandchildren had looked forward to the Hot Tub which was not working until our final day. Mattress and linens on King beds not as described; not firm and linens not high quality. Not nearly enough silverware and poor quality. In hindsight a rental concerned about guests having the best experience would make the simple update to a Keurig. Not enough attention to detail, for example, missing checker pieces, broken case for poker chips. Theater projector only worked for DVD. Overall disappointed in the accommodations and would not recommend.

Spring Break Family Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the cabin! Perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen had just enough to cook meals, the grill worked great. We loved the movie room- bring your own movies or rent at red box. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was clean, nice to know they drain it and clean between renters. It didn’t work the first night because a breaker popped- there are 2 breakers that control the hot tub it would have been nice to get it fixed that night but maintenance was short handed and couldn’t tell us where the 2bd breaker box was. Our only complaint is the front door lock doesn’t work right - it’s a typical Schlage 4 PIN lock but it takes somewhere between 30 seconds and a minute to engage the lock after it accepts the code and makes the locking sound. Maintenance said this worked just fine (they only came while we were gone) but there are not instructions to let you know to wait this long to be sure it locked so it took us dozens of attempts and 2 calls to maintenance to let them know it wouldn’t lock like a normal key code Schlage.

Great cabin with easy access

Access to the entrance is convenient if you have people traveling with you that can't walk up stairs easily. The location is close to Gatlinburg in the Elk Springs resort area, it's easily accessible. The hot tub was very enjoyable on a cool crisp night. We also enjoyed the theater room. There were also plenty of chairs on the deck which is always a plus. I do however, wish it had an outdoor table to dine at, but overall it's a great cabin.

Needs improvements

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in cherokee charm overall it was a good experience only bc attractions but a little overpriced for the accommodations. 1. Kitchen- Needs more cooking pots there is barelly any. 2. Kids bunker room downstairs- Heater does not work we nearly froze to death and the kids did too. No heater to reach downstairs and it was cold cold! We has snow that day and it was cold! They need to obtain with space heaters if cabin does not warm all the way to the bottom! We where really dissapointed bc sauna and theater room and kids room and a bathroom was downstairs! IT WAS COLD! We had everyone sleep in living room floor! 3. Upstairs master Bedroom/Bathroom- Bathroom sink does not drain you need to shut off faucet so it doesnt overflow and wait for it to drain. You could hear every word every laugh every step from the room downstairs and they could hear YOU! So it was not a master bedroom we could not have a conversation or private time without someone listening even whispering. My husband said they used only one layer of wood to cover the floor they didnt even use another layer that is why you could hear all the squaks in the WORLD and even downstairs could hear you. 4. Beds downstairs- Beds squeak sooo bad you move and you wake up your partner. 5. Bathroom Jacuzzi's both of the did not work but most of everything no water to fill them up! And also dirty to the max the inside where not washed properly we ended up not using them! Will not be staying again in that cabin hopefully they do updates to these cabins.

4th of July family vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked Cherokee Charm for a weeklong stay with our three adult children. We were disappointed upon our arrival to find the cabin was not clean to our standards. The outside was covered in dirt, dust and dead bugs. All of the rocking chairs had a thick layer of dust on them and needed wiped down before we could sit on them. The grill was in the corner of the deck and the floor around it was covered in grease stains. Inside, we had a similar experience. Surface cleaning was done but the entire cabin needed a thorough deep cleaning. There were dead bugs in all windowsills and a layer of dust on anything that wasn't commonly touched. The living room furniture was worn and past its prime. The bedrooms were worse. Each bed had a wooden box for the box springs and mattress that was years past needing replaced. There were no hangers in the closet for our clothes. The kitchen was furnished with barely enough dishes to actually cook. There was one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and a roll of paper towels, "a starter pack" as we were told. There was no salt/pepper or any sort of spices. The website boasts a theater room with theater seating. Technically I guess you can call it that, but they are just hard plastic, extremely uncomfortable chairs. We did not use the theater room. We rented a cabin that was listed as "luxury". This definitely was not luxury. It was sufficient and utilitarian for our needs but disappointing for our family. We have stayed in other rental cabins in the area, and they provided a much more inviting and pleasant experience. We will definitely return to the Smokey Mountains. It is such a beautiful area. We will steer clear of Elk Springs cabin rentals. We felt like the management company overdid it with warning signs hung up everywhere. It definitely was not we and I commented that it would be much nicer to simply put everything in a binder and get rid of the tacky signs taped up around the cabin.

It was a hectic few days but it was lovely to be able to come back to such a comfortable homey place. We hope to be able to stay again soon so we can enjoy all this cabin offers.
