Guests can enjoy amenities like AC, laundry, in ground pool, goats, farm animals and WiFi. Feel free for a quick visit or enjoy the pool and farm animals! Private yet close to 81. Book now and enjoy everything this cottage has to offer. We live on the same land as the property as well but strive to give guest privacy. There is a one track train track that runs parallel to the property.

Cute, comfortable place overall, but a little rough around the edges. The house was clean, but back the backyard and pool area needed tidying.The host was very communicative, considerate, and welcoming. The area is gorgeous, and the farm vibe reminded me of where I grew up. We enjoyed our stay.

We finally got the playground set built this weekend! And renovations on the old farm fences have been in progress so I apologize! We’ve def had a few projects that took longer than planned as life happens and didn’t want to shut down or cancel reservations! I apologize for those things.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend by the pool to end our summer! I am so thankful that it was pet friendly so our dogs could join us. The house is extremely clean with all the amenities. The farm animals are absolutely adorable and friendly. The host was very helpful, accommodating, and communicative. I highly recommend and hope to be back!

I had one of my best experiences as a guest at the property. The directions to the property were clear and check in was a breeze. Ample parking, too. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the cozy front porch and ended the evening with a swim in the beautiful pool. The hosts thought of everything, including the cutest pet bowls. The property was clean, airy, and bright. Plenty of towels, including those for the pool, a thoughtful collection of coffee, a nice mattress in the master suite, and so much more. We had the best time feeding carrots to the goats. The house was a great place to relax after a very busy wedding weekend. Communication was excellent and Wes (the owner) is very gracious in person. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

It was a little cold for the pool, but the home was beautiful. Very adorably decorated. Animals were super friendly too.

Such a cute place!!! Welcoming to pups, a nice long driveway to walk them around. The decor is super cute- farmhouse sassy. Would absolutely stay here again!

The charming cottage in Troutville was perfect for our weekend stay. It is decorated so cute to match the farm feel of the chickens, goats and a very large turkey. It is comfortable and set in a very picturesque countryside. KIm, the host was very good at communication and anything we needed for our stay.

The home was cute and met our needs nicely. It was very clean and comfortable, which was most important. We appreciated the ability to bring our little dog, and seeing the farm animals was delightful. The owner was responsive when needed. We would definitely recommend!

Owner allowed us to enter an hour early, which was greatly appreciated as we had driven 6 hours from Jersey. The place was simple but had all we needed for a stop in the road trip. The dogs were educated by the new smells of animals like goats, chickens, turkeys and cows, pretty funny. Just too bad the pool cover was still on, as it was quite hot for mid April.

A very cozy and clean cottage situated on a little farm with adorable chicks, goats, a duck and a turkey. Beautiful setting. Brought back good memories of growing up on a farm in SC!!

Cute cottage with all the comforts of home! Easy check in and check out. Very clean! Fresh eggs from the owners hens were a real treat for breakfast! Would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Great location to visit company in Roanoke. There are lots of chickens running around. The bed was very comfortable. Our pup had fun, big yard. The property had lots of character. Pet bed and dishes were also available, nice touch.

Great communication. Easy check in and out. Wonderful accommodations. So perfectly laid out. Cozy and beautiful. Back yard is beautiful with a gorgeous pool. Was there in 19 degree weather but I can only imagine how wonderful it will be in the warmer months. Host extremely helpful. Easy to find with easy parking. Will definitely be back.

The location was easy to find and in a very charming country setting and fun farm animals. I was disappointed to learn (by the alarming sound/house rattling) that there is an active train track at the end of the drive way that ran at almost midnight. The house needs a deep clean and better turn over between guests- there were food crumbs on the bedside table, dusty walls and hair on the bathroom floor. It was manageable for the short night I needed during my drive along 81, if I was staying longer, I would have addressed the issues with the host.

We would have most certainly made sure to fix any cleaning issues! We are pet friendly and apologize for anything missed. As for the train it is a one track train and out of our control as far as that. We strive to keep the home cleaned professionally and if any issues we encourage guests to reach out immediately so we can fix or find a solution.

Its a very nice property, the one bedroom didn't have a tv or a ceiling fan, but thats just my preference. The pool was nice, and it felt good, but i would definitely stay there again, and recommend it!

We absolutely adored this place. The owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is fantastic. Anytime I had a question I was answered at lightning speed. The home was 100% magnificent. Every room was clean. They had perfect directions printed out for the surrounding area and how to take care of their place. I would have to say this is in my top 3 most favorite properties I have ever been to.
