Make this comfy studio your private retreat, or your home base for discovering Long Beach and Lakewood. This spacious room features one queen bed, a sofa and coffee table, a cheery kitchen table for eating, working, or playing, a convenient snack-prep area (with microwave, minifridge, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, tea kettle, toaster, dishes, and sink, but no stove), and a bathroom with a spacious, walk-in shower. With amenities like AC, heating, WiFi, and washer and dryer, guests can work, play or relax. Surround yourself with natural fibers, wood, tile and stone - we do our best to minimize the use of plastic. This is our one and only Vrbo, we are not corporate. Solo travelers and couples come for a visit in the Long Beach/Lakewood area and keep coming back. We're a 10-15 minute neighborhood stroll from an authentic Italian restaurant, and a Chinese seafood restaurant, pizza, pho, cupcakes, nail salon, liquor, and more. A great place to call your home away from home, we're sure you'll enjoy your stay.

We are a quick hop from Long Beach City College, Long Beach Airport, the Boeing Company, Mercedes-Benz Vehicle Preparation Center, the Rinks-Lakewood Ice, El Dorado East Regional Park, and great food at Vino e Cucina, LV Seafood (Chinese), and the Village Cafe. We are 5.1 miles from California State University Long Beach, 13.3 miles from the Port of Long Beach, and 16.5 miles from Disneyland.

The homeowners are very kind. Beautiful back yard with all kinds of fruit trees and friendly, cute dogs. We felt very at home and safe in our private mother in law apartment. Has a staying with family feel. Great for singles, couples, or a parent and child. Onsite free washer and dryer available for use. Nice size kitchenette perfect for our needs.

Cozy stay

It had all the described necessities. A very great location as Lakewood Mall is a couple streets over. Airport is also very close by. There are loose dogs around the unit but are very friendly.

Clean and fairly easy access. The gate was difficult to navigate, but after 2 days we figured it out. Check in and out easy. Appreciate the location, which worked for our visit to relatives. Hope to return.

This was such a perfect location for exploring the SoCal area! Quick trip to Disney, Knott's, and Universal. Close to beaches and about an hour to downtown LA. We loved the quiet neighborhood that had easy access to many routes. Ken and Patricia were wonderful hosts as well.

The room was very nice, specious, neat and organized. The atmosphere was very relaxing, it was a nice touch to have a ac and a heater. The table in the room helped me do my work on my laptop. The bed was soft and big. The host was very polite and helpful.

Perfect place for a much needed break

We picked this place because of the reviews and we had a great experience! Patricia and Kenny are great hosts, very attentive and hospitable. The location is in a neighborhood and we felt very safe the whole time. It was a reasonable and easy drive to Knott’s and not a bad drive to downtown to visit Olvera St. We loved being so close to shopping and appreciated the local restaurant recommendations! This was just the place to have a home base for the break my daughter and I needed.

The host was very attentive, however unfortunately the space wasnt clean. My rollerbag ended up with huge gobs of dog poo on it from the backyard. The bed is ridden with hundreds of bed bugs. The host gave me a refund but I lost an additional 300 for my suitcase and extra hotel expense.

I advise hosts not to have anything to do with this guest. She repeatedly said she sent videos of bed bugs. I have not received any photos or videos. There are no bugs of any kind anywhere in the comfy, homey studio.

Easy to check in and out! Host provided very clear instructions on how to get in and out of the property. Property was clean and had everything you needed! I’d say our only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin so we could hear all of the outside noise and neighbor noise very clearly in the mornings, making it a bit hard to sleep in. Otherwise, nice, cozy, safe, and affordable stay that’s worth the money! Great location as well.

Everything was perfect, from my initial inquiry through out our stay. The information as to how to access the room were descriptive and easy to follow. The room was clean and the bed/sheets were very comfortable.Unfortunately, we were not able to access MBC from the television, but fortunately had brought our kindle and were able to watch it on our HULU streaming services.

We've lived in Long Beach for over 40 years. Kenny divides his time between the dogs and his orchard. Patricia works full-time. We take long walks in the neighborhood or at the beach to try to walk off the food we love so much. We enjoy hosting and getting to meet so many different interesting people, but we follow your lead and respect your privacy if you are not inclined to chat.

We bought the house in 2000. We like it because the lot is good-sized. The street has no sidewalks, so it looks greener than many other places. It's a quiet, safe neighborhood, and every house was designed and built individually; no two are alike.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our unit is a studio with its own private door. The walls and ceiling in the main area are covered with pine boards, so it has a rustic feel. The floor in the main area and laundry area are tile, and the floor in the bathroom is stone. There is no carpet anywhere. The snack preparation area has a microwave oven, dorm-sized mini-fridge, toaster, coffee maker and grinder, and tea kettle. There is a sink, but no stove. The laundry is directly off the room, very convenient. The room is at the back of our house, locked off, on the other side of the laundry room, with its own entrance. It's really spacious, with a sofa and coffee table tucked into one corner, and a cute, round kitchen table by the window. It's really a great place to hang out.
