Welcome to the enchanting Trillium House located ON the campus of DePauw University. We are just a few doors south of FIJI, Theta, Longden Hall, and Bishop Roberts.
Step back in time as you walk in from the covered porch into the fabulous, 1890 Victorian that features 4(5) Bedrooms (3 Queens, 1 Twin, and a Day bed with pull out trundle) and 3.5 bathrooms fully stocked with towels, soaps, and hairdryers. Inside you'll be greeted by 14 foot ceilings, large windows trimmed in rich, dark woodwork. Don't forget to play a game of cards at in the DePauw Sports themed Game room or host a large gathering for a meal around a table that seats 8 comfortably. Then head out the back door to find a 1/2+ acre enclosed yard that will provide lovely evenings around a gas firepit in Adirondak chairs under large trees.
For 130+ yrs, this has been home to notable members of the Greencastle and DePauw Community. We have verified that even Percy Julian met with the Physics club in this place!
This phenomenal property is perfect for families or groups of friends (especially parents of DePauw students looking to be close to campus as well as returning DePauw alumni).

Great place to stay! Lots of room, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need including coffee upstairs and down, Kurig. Area is on DePauw campus and very safe. TRay (host) was amazing and offered a lot of insight that was helpful.

We so enjoyed our stay! The home was lovely, very accommodating for our large group and very comfortable. So many beautiful touches throughout home. Great location to DePauw's campus and on a quiet street. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Would certainly recommend and plan to book again!

We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Trillium House was absolutely perfect, even better than the pictures on line. The owners thought of every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the house was spotless. The location was perfect for anyone visiting DePauw and easily walkable to town. A piece of history

The house was very welcoming, plenty of space and a great location for anyone visiting DePauw. Highly recommend this property for anyone traveling with a family. Host was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Our hosts were great and were quick to respond to any messages from us. The house was fully stocked with toiletries, kitchen equipment and supplies-even coffee and creamers so we didn’t need to leave the house for anything.The house is spacious which made it perfect to accommodate our multi-family Christmas celebration.

This is a beautiful house. We hosted several out-of-state military veterans and everyone who stayed loved the accommodations. This house has a ton of character. All the DePauw University decorations added to a comfortable vibe. Everything needed was within walking distance. Would recommend this house to anyone traveling to Greencastle Indiana or nearby. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. Many thanks!

Perfect for the whole family

There were 9 of us attending a senior recital for my nephew. The house easily accommodated all of us. Plenty of space to sit around as well. The pictures on the web site don't do it justice. Owners are prompt in their communication and easy to get a hold of.

We are DePauw Alumni (graduates 1991 - T. Ray was a Phi Psi and Tia was an Alpha Phi). We have lived in Indianapolis since graduation. We have always loved to travel but as our kids arrived, we pivoted to using VRBO for our accommodations as they provided much more flexibility and variety.

When our children went to DePauw (Thomas graduated 2024 and Audrey will graduate in 2026) we often stayed at a VRBO location but we realized there were too few.

Tia ignited the spark to acquire a property to serve the many families that travel to DePauw to see their kids for athletic or performance events. We wanted it to be close to campus so they can enjoy the environment we all grew to love.

We were lucky to have found this property with rich history of DePauw and Greencastle.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Absolutely intended to be a part of the DePauw landscape and due to its location on So College Ave close to dorms and fraternities - as well as a quick/easy walk to Blackstock Stadium - it made perfect sense. We heard too often from other families frustrated with having to rent a hotel in Cloverdale or even in Plainfield.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The fact that it was built in 1890 (the same year as the first Monon Bell Game) and has had a long history and ties with DePauw professors and famous alumni. It's also UNIQUELY centrally located on campus.... 3 doors south of Theta and Longden and 2 doors down from Fiji. 2 min walk access to Bishop Roberts, Humbert and Vernon Jordan Hall make it amazingly easy for families to use it as a gathering spot.

It has a 2/3 acre fenced in back yard which is very unique to gather post events and enjoy the outside. Parking is easy as there are many spots along the front and then offstreet parking in back (with a garage if that's also required).

The ability for it to be a 5 Bedroom house with plenty of space (and sleeps 9 comfortably - 12 max w/ air mattresses) as well as a large family room w/ attached game room give it a very cozy feel.
