The roaches were my favorite part. My extended family of 11 started seeing a few small roaches in the kitchen on day 2, we figured it’s a lake house in the woods, so we killed them and moved on. I reached out to the host on day 5 and told them we had been killing a few a day but it was getting to be more than a couple small ones, and in talking with those in the cabin they were also seeing them, and on day 5 they also had one in their bed. Owners were seemly unconcerned. I sent videos of a live one in my cooler bag that was in the home with no response. I then reached out again when one was crawling on my 5 year old when he was laying on the couch, No response. When we were packing up we found half a dozen more, I sent videos and pictures and the owner just said “we were there 10 days ago and didn’t see anything”. I even sent a video with 3 dead ones in it after we killed them. Once we were all packed I went to go to bed the final night and when I picked up my toothbrush, there was the tiniest one ON MY TOOTHBRUSH. I sent a video to them, the owner said he would come spray for bugs in the morning which was after we left. We had to drive 11 hours home to leave all our belongings outside and now spend hours cleaning out every individual bag and item from how small they can be so we don’t end up with them. Still nothing from the owners. The rest of the property is amazing, it really has so much to offer, if it wasn’t for the bugs and lack of communication.
