Great time

We had a great time at this property. It was spacious. We were able to bbq and it accommodated 4 adults and four kids between 5-11 years old without issues. It is close to the beach which also makes it very convenient.

Spacious and clean interior!

The house was beautiful, clean, and had all the necessities we required for our trip. We would stay again. The only things worth mentioning is that there was a few homeless living right next to the house (they didn't bother us, and they are pretty prevalent in ocean beach already), and the airport is nearby so you can hear the planes! We tuned both out so the stay was still very much worth it!

Perfect location, with a short walk to the beach!

We had a great time with our family here, the house was very clean, had everything we needed and we enjoyed the outdoor patio area with the BBQ. Our host was very accommodating and helpful. We were able to walk to the beach from the house, and it was just a hop and a skip away from many great sightseeing places like Cabrillo Point Loma and Sunset Cliffs! We also enjoyed the local Restaurants and Bars like Mitch's Seafood and The Reunion Pub. We would love to book this house again!!! Highly recommended!!!! 5 stars!!!!

Great house for a group!

Great home for a large group, plenty of space and bathrooms. Clean, nicely decorated, great natural light, spacious rooms. Owner was responsive to a few requests including providing a few additional serving dishes. Check out process was a breeze. The only thing I would note, which others had as well, is the table is small for the number of people the house can sleep. This can be seen in the photos so we weren't surprised, but something to consider if you plan to do group meals. We cooked one night and 6 sat at the table and 4 were at the island.

Great everything but surprised by shared space in courtyard

We never saw anything indicating there was an additional unit below the garage. We planned a gathering for my daughters graduation with family and felt a bit weird when the guests in the studio entered their unit - we weren’t affected but the first time they came down the steps my daughters were in their room and surprised to see strangers coming down the spiral stairs. All in all the house met all our needs perfectly and we appreciated the amenities and the prompt response to questions!

Incredible Stay

Very nice place with all the amenities and comfort of home. Thanking Mark for allowing us (7 adults and 1 toddler) an early check-in and noon check-out. My son really enjoyed his weekend birthday getaway in Point Loma Heights (close to everything). We had to ensure all dishes were washed and put away, understandably so because cleaning services charge per dish. (I know this from personal experience.) We toddler proofed the upper level by rearranging the furniture. Upon communicating with Mark, I was allowed to leave it that way. The only problem encountered was my granddaughter (Emory) dominating the TV; she had all of us watching Ms. Rachel from YouTube, a baby learning show. There's only one TV on the property. Glad we were exploring most of our 4 day, 3 night birthday getaway stay.

Great trip, disappointing location

This is the first disappointing experience with VRBO in 20 years. We traveled from NC and called when we arrived at 1:00 for an early check-in. We were told no, not until 3pm. We arrived at 4 and the cleaning ladies were on the way out the door. They helped a few of us with our bags. When we entered the house windows were open and it did not smelled like it had just been cleaned. I smelled like it had been closed up for a while. It looked more like someone had come in and wiped down the place. Dirt was on the hard wood floors, the banister was sticky, stains on white leather sofa and the bathrooms were not cleaned well. The location was on a dead end street and a not so desirable neigborhood. We immediately called VRBO because there was no directions left in the house on who to call if we needed assistance. They gave us 4 numbers for the property manager. We left several messages and did not hear back from her until late Monday(poor communication) we arrived on Sunday. We chose not to stay due to feeling unsafe in an unclean house. We went to a hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) and spent the remainder of our vacation. The owner did reach out via email to state the cost of the house and that he had not had any issues with safety at that property. We were told by several Uber drivers that was an unsafe area, especially for older women.We were never offered any solutions to our concerns and therefore had to spend the week in a hotel.

Would definitely rent again

This property was as beautiful as it is listed. Very spacious and with natural lighting with all the windows. The kitchen is very open which makes it a great place to cook. The patio is also very beautiful and relaxing. The only thing I would recommend is to take pictures of any damage upon arrival and report it. We were questioned about one of the bed post being broken which I did notice when we arrived but I didn’t make a big deal about it since the other post already had a piece of wood drilled to it. I explained this when I was questioned and everything was cleared up. All the beds had clean sheets and pillow cases. Overall, I highly recommend this location. I would definitely rent again.

Great family place

We really enjoyed our stay, plenty of room for our kids and family. House was really clean, including kitchen, with the exception of the floors everyone’s feet were black on day one. Pros: Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great outdoor space, bikes(great surprise), sand toys, boogie boards and a awesome bbq. Cons: Next to busy road so bedroom upstairs was loud with window open. Dryer didn’t work the entire trip. Mattress were missing mattress covers, followed by flat sheet which couldn’t be tucked so you could see stains on the mattress. With all that said, we would defiantly stay again. The location was great, the house was great.

Our linens are professionally cleaned and sanitized. The elastic in a fitted sheet won’t survive the heat process of sanitizing. Thus we don’t use fitted sheets.

This guest had dogs. We don’t allow dogs. This guest retaliated by canceling his credit card payment. Our landscaping is underplayed with plastic. When the dogs pee it does not soak in. We must then treat all the landscaping beds for smell with a special enzyme.

Close to all the beaches

We had 8 people and everyone e was very comfortable. We spent time on the patio, etc. We did have problems with the hot water inadvertently being turned off but it was fixed quickly.

I would never recommend this property.

We were so disappointed and disgusted with kitchen. The pans, pots, and utensils were old and dirty. The knives didn't cut, and the coffee pot was dusty and dirty. We found dirty towels thrown in the closet and dirty socks laid out in the dusty garage. The furniture and dresser shelves were not cleaned and dusted that I couldn't put any of my clothes in the dresser. The bedding was terrible; the blankets and sheets were so old and thin.

This guest asked to cancel a day before checkin with a full refund. We follow a VRBO cancelation protocol. The guest showed up and in retaliation gave us a bad review based on false fabrications. Please read some of our other reviews .

Good Place for the Family

Ou family enjoyed our stay. The location was close to all the activities we had planned while staying in San Diego. There was plenty of room for the eight of us. Enjoyed the large kitchen/dining/living room space.

Perfect for family gathering

Large living-dining area for Thanksgiving dinner. Hardwood floors throughout eased concerns about food falling to floor with young children. Fireplace made the house cozy in this rainy weather. 5 bedrooms were more than enough for 7 people. Location was perfect as it is close to Liberty Station.

Grandma Birthday

The house is beautiful and spacious. Near the ocean and close to many attractions. However, a bit noisy. The house is right under airplains rout, so we heard them day and night. There are 5 bedrooms with one bed in each room, so singles had to share a bed! The dining table fits only 6 but we were 10 in the house. The owner did not allow us to use one of the folding tables stored in one of the closet. The house itself was clean but the fridge, the cutting board, and the sponge were not. When we asked for a bigger salad ball and a big newer pot for cooking, the prperty manager immidiately answered the need. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We discovered when we went walking barefoot on the wood floor that there was so much imbedded dirt on it, that it covered the soles of the feet to a dark brown/black color, even the baby who crawled on the floor had black knees. Other than that it was comfortable with plenty of space.

It’s very easy to track dust in from outside . We were notified if this 2 days after check in. I sent our cleaner to re clean . We have a 3 process method of cleaning the floor between every guest . This dirt was likely tracked in by the guest.

Great Place!!

This place was wonderful to stay at. The communication prior to us staying was great. The property owners gave information out in a timely manner and got back to me with answers to my questions very quickly. The ONLY thing was that when I booked the place, I didn't realize that there was a studio apt that also gets rented out and they are on the property with you. But, the people that rented that out were cool and respectful. Just would have been nice knowing prior to arrival and wondering who just pulled up on the driveway. The ones that rented that place seemed just as confused when they saw me. Other than that, the place was clean, lots of room, nice property. I'd absolutely recommend to others with large groups.

Enjoyable stay for large family

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is very clean, nice, spacious and we each had our own bathroom which was very convenient. There are a couple of things that were not desirable but are out of the owner's hands. Airplanes start flying overhead at about 6:00am and they are quite loud. The house is located right next to a large intersection and we could hear lots of noisy motorcycles going by in the early AM. The only other things are the bathroom door on the main floor doesn't lock and there isn't a blender in the kitchen. Other than that, we had a nice stay and it was better than being cramped up in a tiny apartment.

Fun for a family reunion

Lovely 5 bedroom 3 bath house worked well for our extended family gathering. Fenced-in yard was perfect for gatherings with our young grandchildren, and house was large and child-friendly. Location gave us good options: nearby beaches, zoo, restaurants, grocery stores were quick car trips away. One note: a second, "granny" unit shares the yard and drive, so less privacy than you may want. Also, not having fitted bedsheets made for an irritating daily bed-making experience with 5 large beds. Overall a good choice for your vacation.

Awesome place and wonderful property

We booked this for a group of employees to attend a conference at the San Diego Convention Center. It's a short Uber ride away from both the airport and the convention center, but also just a nice walk to the beach. Fantastic property overall and felt very secure. The place was clean and very easy to relax in after a long day. We had some initial complications sorting out billing/payment, as it was reserved with a company card, but Mark was a fantastic communicator and was able to work with us to make sure everyone came out covered and taken care of. Phenomenal host and always accessible by text or by messaging in the app. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area (in fact, I already have recommended it to several friends). Thanks so much for a great stay in a wonderful spot.

It was a fantastic house. We had a group of colleagues all staying together for a work retreat. There was only one woman, which worked out great. She had her own space on the main floor and the men were downstairs.

Great location, safe and spacious

Great to have parking considering it is a premium around there. We had a two car garage which was wonderful and room to park three more cars easily. The picture of the main floor living area is exactly what you get. Great space for getting together an having a game night or whatever. The kitchen did everything we needed. The 5 bedrooms got the job done with no complaints. The air conditioner was hard to manage since I know nothing about Nest. The washer and dryer left more lent on the clothes then when we put them in. Cleaning the filter didn’t help. Still, all in all, a great place and Mark, my contact, was the best. Thanks
