The bedroom in the alcove is clearly shown in the pictures exactly as it is. The homelessness is a very serious and touchy subject in and all around downtown Bloomington. We have live camera security feed all around the exterior of the building. Sorry we didn’t send the homeless person scurrying. I am very sorry you had no tissues, and felt as though you did not have enough towels/washcloths. We have already addressed that issue.

We are surprised and disappointed to receive this rating, as we have maintained a consistent 5-star track record over three years by being highly responsive to our guests' needs. This is a preserved historic building built in 1928. While the original windows offer immense character, they are single-pane. We ensure the heating system is fully functional to compensate for the charm of historic architecture during extreme cold snaps. We take hygiene and maintenance seriously. The washer/dryer are checked regularly, and the sink is sanitized thoroughly between stays; surface scratches in a vintage-style sink are cosmetic and do not impact cleanliness. You let us know you were having trouble locking the door when you first arrived, I believe we responded within 3-5 minutes, but as soon as we told you to just push the lock button upon leaving instead of trying to enter the code again to lock it, we were unaware you had anymore difficulty. Sorry you did not fall completely in love with our place, most people do.
