WOW. They meant it when they said the location is great! The home was spotlessly clean, and there were a ton of nice conveniences such as hot cocoa, fuzzy blankets, and just like everything you need for a Bloomington foray. The hosts did a superior job of striking a balance between the craftsman charm of original features with modern amenities.

We had a great stay here for our daughter's wedding. Location was very convenient to everything. The house was perfect for us- everyone had their own bedroom. There were plenty of towels. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely stay here again!

Great experience overall! The house is nice, clean, and very comfortable. Its in a quiet neighborhood near campus with all the amenities you need for an easy stay. The rental process was super easy as well, with very communicative and flexible owners. The one issue we had during our stay was promptly addressed on the weekend. Perfect Couples Getaway

Base Camp was the perfect place for our couples’ weekend. The owner communicated well leading up to our stay and everything was as expected. The owner even put water/drinks in the fridge and had a little care package for us (snacks/cinnamon chip bread). Those little added extras made a big difference & we will definitely stay here again!

Great house, perfect location, excellent for our two dogs who traveled with my wife and son to visit me during a two week work shift in Bloomington. Very tame deer every night and morning in the neighborhood and yards was very cool. First VRBO for me but was simple, easy, clean, and fun.

Everything you need

The property manager responded quickly. The house was cute, clean, in a great location and its amenities went beyond our expectations. I felt very welcomed with dog treats, toys, and bowls available for my dog and snacks for my hungry teens. The beds were super cozy. I would stay again and highly recommend this property.

Basecamp is everything you need for great visit to Bloomington

Hosts are responsive, attentive but unseen. Spent two nights back in town with my college aged kids. Had a great time. Three king beds in large separate bedrooms was a bonus. As was two full bathrooms. Very comfortable place to stay. Large TV was great for watching games after grabbing carryout from various nearby restaurants. I will be returning here for future visits to Bloomington

Cute House, Great Location!

My husband, daughter, and I stayed in this adorable house because my daughter attended New Student Orientation at Indiana University. The host was so gracious and accommodating even before we got to the house. She answered all of my questions and even allowed us to check in early. The house was very comfortable and the host was amazing! She left us delicious bakery bread along with snacks plus the home was very well stocked and other everything we needed

Comfort meets cuteness & convenience!

This was the perfect little-big house for a family gathering! My family loved every detail, from the prompt communication with the hosts, (Thank you, Jane!!!!) to the beautiful yard and side patio with a BBQ, to the apacious intwrious ans styllish rooms. The updated kitchen-living room combo had a wonderful open floor plan for entertaining, the bedrooms were large and beautifully decorated, the bathrooms were renovated & clean. The hosts had a special local bread waiting for us, what a nice touch!!!

Our stay was the perfect place to be for Little 5! We never moved the car once we arrived and were able to walk to meals and even to the race (though it was a long walk!) the house was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and the hosts left so many thoughtful touches like snacks, delicious bread, tea, and cocoa. We were able to walk to many of the sites in the movie “Breaking Away” and there were items in the house to enjoy like a coffee table book, poster etc. It really added to the Little 5 Weekend. Thanks for a wonderful weekend we will remember forever❤️🚴

Big Storm

My friend and I accompanied a granddaughter to a week long event at IU campus. Base camp was the perfect location for our frequent trips to IU campus! The house is well appointed. The neighborhood is quiet. The AC chilled us to our bones! We had the added adventure of a big storm that knocked out power for 2 1/2 days! Jane and Tony were SO helpful with issues related to that. It was a 5 star stay! Thank you!

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary last year, and we have raised four wonderful children, including identical twins, 3 sons and a daughter. We also have two grandchildren. Indiana University brought us to Bloomington in 1980 and we fell in love with the town, and surrounding wilderness and couldn't leave. We love hiking, camping boating, and spending time outdoors. Our Airbnb is a reflection of our interests, our National Park adventures, the IU Campus and the Bloomington community. We are both teachers; I teach at Bloomington South High School and Tony teaches at the Hoosier Hills Career Center. We consider every stay at our VRBO property an adventure, and we do our best to create a great experience.

The location for your adventure is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. There are a few scattered rental properties in the area. There's lots of dog walking, neighbors are friendly, urban deer wander around in the early morning and evenings. Bryan Park is just two-blocks away and there's a one-mile walking/running/cycling trail around the circumference of the park. Bryan Park also has a public swimming pool, basketball courts and a spectacular playground for the kids. It's six blocks to campus, seven blocks to the Sample Gates on Kirkwood and a few short blocks to Two Sticks Bakery and the Elm. We provide bikes, as an alternative mode of transportation to ride on the community biking trails and a cruise through campus or downtown.
