This cabin is amazing. This was our 4th Christmas we had here with our family. It is very welcoming, has everything you need, and the Christmas tree is just perfect! I would highly recommend this cabin for couples, friends, or family.

The location was perfect...quiet, surrounded by trees. We stayed over Thanksgiving and a cold front moved in (highs were in low 30s). House was perfect for 4 people in winter. Can easily fit 2 more, but one room would probably be a little chilly as is gets heat from neighboring room (gas fireplace).

Our second stay at this location, and would not trade it for anything. Absolute must if you want seclusion, and easy fishing access. Bit of a drive to restaurants, but the beauty of driving over the mountain cannot be topped.

Absolutely wonderful stay

The house was clean and so very homey. The rooms were wonderful size, beds were comfy, and the outside living spaces were just ideal. When we visit West Virginia, we will check to see if this cabin is available. Absolutely wonderful, all the way around.

Great cabin!

It was perfect for our getaway. Very cute and cozy, hot tub was a big plus. It gets cold on the first floor, but the fireplace helps warm it back up. Our hosts even plowed the drive for us when it snowed, and checked in to make sure we could get out!

Hideaway cabin

Great secluded location with great views of the valley below. Cabin is very spacious and very comfortable. Great location for a getaway into nature with no neighbors or noise. Location is central to a lot of natural attractions but travel is required for every thing, plan accordingly. This was not an issue for us, that was exactly what we wanted. Cabin and amenities exactly as described and more.

Nice cabin in the woods

The owners are great folks. The cabin was clean and everything worked. WIFI worked well. Nice gas stove to cook on, and plenty of cookware to use. Private location. Nice porches to sit on and just enjoy the trees and birds. Nice trail to hike right out of the cabin, and other hiking opportunities nearby.

42nd anniversary

It was so nice & peaceful, brought food with us and didn't leave until check out This place was had anything you could have needed in the kitchen to make a large family meal or just a bowl of soup, the beds where comfortable & clean the bathrooms where a little small, but it was fine. The hot tub is an older model, but it was fine for two people.

Perfect mountain escape

The Hideaway Cabin is the perfect mountain escape if you're looking to slow down from the rush of day-to-day life. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with anything you could need. The property is quiet and peaceful with the front deck an excellent place to simply sit, read a book, play music, or watch the wildlife. The hosts are very kind and graciously recommended places to visit and see while in the area. We had a phenomenal time and hope to be back soon!

Excellent Stay, just not quite perfect

Everything was terrific about our stay. Rhona was extremely communicative and helpful. The chain that flushes the toilet broke from normal use, and she was extremely gracious about the issue. There was no propane in the grill when we first arrived, but they rushed up with a fresh tank within 5 minutes. The wifi wasn't working when we first arrived, but Rhona kept us updated about it getting back up. I think some of these issues could be avoided in the future by the owners, but overall extremely minor inconveniences to what was an absolutely delightful stay. They are terrific!

Family Christmas

We love the location and accaciblity of the cabin. We did not have to bring much to cook our meals with due to a fully stocked kitchen. The Christmas tree is beautiful and I’m happy it’s been up the last 2 years we stayed. We are planning on making this a yearly trip to do Christmas with the kids. Thank you for letting us stay in your Hide Away Cabin.

An awesome house!

This is the best setup for a happy stay down in the hills. 2 bathrooms, one to each floor. Lots of room to move around, its almost impossible to get in each others way. Full kitchen set up, just bring food! Lots of sleeping choices, loved the long driveway. Make coffee in the morning, relax on the porch, watch the deer. Heck yeah! Thank you Rhona for the lovely accommodations and we'll see y'all next year!
