Holiday one bedroom apt, in heart of old town, lovely sea view

Charming apartment in the heart of the old town of Villefranche. Balcony with sea and street views. Fully equipped, air conditioning, double windows, washing machine, TV - satellite. 1 Bright and spacious living-room with a very comfortable sofa-bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed, kitchen entirely equipped, 1 bathroom. One minute walk to the sea front, restaurants, grocery stores, bakers, butcher. Brief stroll to superb swimming beaches. The flat is on the 2nd floor of a building located on a picturesque and animated street of the village with a very nice atmosphere. The train station and bus station are very nearby. Handy to Nice, Monaco, Cap Ferrat, ski fields, hiking trails. The apartment is also a close walk to the 'Institut de Français', a very famous French language school.

Villefranche is located half way betwween Nice and Monaco. Famous for its wonderfull bay, close by the Cap Ferrat peninsula.
The apartement is located in the heart of the village, one street behind the picturesque mediterranean harbor, close to the storical 'Rue Osbcure'from the 14th C., where a lot of movies had been shooted, the Cocteau Chapel, and also near to the Citadel from the 16th c. which has museums inside, an open-air theater with cinema and concerts (from end of june to begining of september). The apartment is close to a lot of charming restaurants, bars, grocery stores, butcher, bakers, pharmacy, shops,diving school, boat hire and boat excursions available from the quay side. Local market on saturday & wednesday morning, and antiques market on sunday.
The apartment is 10 minutes walking distance to the famous french language institute 'Institut de Français'.


Villefranche is very close to Nice (10 minutes drive) and Monaco - Monte-Carlo (20 minutes drive). The train station and bus station are 10 minutes away walking from the apartment. Around Villefranche you can discover Eze Village (20 min drive) or Cap Ferrat and the Rotshchild Villa (10 min drive), Beaulieu (10min) but also Antibes or Cannes (about 45 min drive) or St Paul de Vence (45 min), and also near by the Italian Riviera with San Remo (1 hour drive), or the beautifull south Alps moutains with the ski resorts such as Isola 2000 (1h30 drive).

Convenient central location and excellent host

We had a lovely stay. Everything is as advertised and the host Cecile is extremely nice and helpful. If you want to stay right in the heart of Villefranche, this is a good choice.

The unit is well appointed, centrally located in the old town and the host Cecile was very welcoming and helpful. We had a fabulous week following her recommendations of restaurants, walks and attractions. We highly recommend it.

A wonderful stay

My wife and I spent 9 days in this lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The placement of the balcony (just above the lively street with a view through to the water) is perfect and we spent a lot of time out there with glasses of wine/beer enjoying the atmosphere. The sound proofing for the two balcony doors was also very effective when we wanted to keep things quiet inside. Cecile is a wonderful host, she was so helpful and accommodating and we're looking forward to staying here again.

Perfect location

Cecile was a great owner/manger in that she went over and above in assisting us with our stay. Not only did she help us with our bags up the stairs, but she has compiled a binder that explains all the services available in the village. Especially helpful were the directions on how to use the train and bus systems. Her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful host

Cecile and Fred were super hosts. Cecile's communication and helpfulness at all stages of the process was fantastic. The best I've ever experienced. The apartment is superbly located - sitting above a charming pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. Very efficient sound-proofed double glazing in the apartment which ensured quiet when wanted. Only downside was not having an oven - only a hob - for cooking (even though the listing states there is an oven). We had a wonderful time - and will definitely return. Thanks Cecile!

Adorable vacation rental

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Cecile was very easy to communicate with and the apartment was just as advertised. It has a little balcony that overlooks the main shopping street in old town. A perfect place to have your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. It suited us perfectly for our vacation. It is located in the heart of old town, and very close to the water. Two small things to be aware of for future travelers: (neither a dealbreaker for us). For less agile travelers, the apartment building does not have an elevator so you must climb a flight of stairs to reach the apartment. And the apartment is above a bar/ restaurant. The apartment has amazing windows that block out any noise from the establishment below, so it’s not an issue. But you won’t be leaving your windows open at night, because of the noise and smell. It is a small inconvenience, particularly considering the apartment has an AC unit that works so well.

Living Like a local

Myself and my husband took Cecile's advice and decided to live like a local ! Apartment was everything as described , located in the centre of the village , close to everything you could wish for. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Fabulous location and host

Cecile was above and beyond helpful. . She even helped guide us to parking our vehicle and mailing a postcard. We fell in love with villefranche . Having breakfast every morning with fresh foods from the market waa also extra special for us. We would definitely come back again. Thank you so much !

A beautiful gem in a key location

The apartment was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed staying in Villefranche sur Mer. The balcony was perfect for evening drinks and relaxing. Communication with Cécile was very easy and helpful, she has lots of good recommendations! I would love to go back again soon.

old town charm

this property is in an ideal location in the middle of old town villefranche. The property owner was extremely helpful from our arrival to our departure. If you are looking for an authentic french cote d'azur old town holiday this is the apartment for you. You have a bakery, shop, ice cream parlour, bar, restaurants and much more all with in seconds walk from this apartment. Thanks so much Cecile and Fred for a wonderful holiday experience. five star stay!

Bright, clean, comfortable, well located in old Villefranche-sur-mer

Cécile was welcoming, accessible and a good communicator. When planning our arrival in Nice by train she suggested that rather than take a taxi (45€) we should take the local train connection (3€) She met us at the station. The apartment is a 32 stair walk up. It is bright and comfortable. It has a charming balcony, a small slice of a view of the water. The bedroom is quiet and the bed comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, stove top temperatures are tricky to control. The bathroom is a little tight but the shower is a good size and functional. There is plenty of hot water. It is steps from the harbour on a charming pedestrian-only street in Old Villefranche-sur-Mer. There are lots of very good restaurants very nearby. Easy access to buses and trains to Nice and Monaco. Easy access to walking paths to Nice and St. Jean Cap Ferrat. All in all an excellent holiday apartment.

This apartment is very typical, in the old town with a good atmosphere. Our guests love it. You'll have the sensation of living like a local person from Villefranche. The paintings inside the apartment were made by grand uncle. We are the 4th generation from Villefranche-sur-mer.
