Cozy & Relaxing - Family Friendly - Cheerful 2-bed 2-bath home

Our home is walking distance from beach trails and downtown and within easy access to Pebble Beach, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, and the surrounding Monterey Peninsula.

Two comfortable bedrooms with queen beds -Two light filled bathrooms - Fully equipped kitchen with a dining area- Spacious living room - Laundry facilities - Ample space available for parking.

•The house accommodates five(4) Adults. There is a queen size bed in each of the two rooms. We have a full size air mattress stored in the ottoman in the Kitchen. There is also a comfortable leather sofa in the living room that guests like to use for sleeping. You are welcome to use any of these. We will provide extra bedding and bathroom necessities for the fifth person.

•NO CHARGE FOR EXTRA PEOPLE MEANS I HAVE A FLAT PRICE FOR ALL OF THE above mentioned MAXIMUM NUMBER of 4 GUESTS.

YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE ENTIRE HOME:

• KITCHEN: cooking utensils, toaster, microwave, coffee girder, blender, slow-cooker, pots, pans, basic pantry items and spices.
•BATHROOMS: bath towels and bath needs (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairdryer)
• LAUNDRY: Washer and dryer for laundry needs •Iron and ironing board.
• TV & DVD player •basic cable is available • The TV has USB connection if you want to bring your favorite movie on a thumb drive to watch.
• A sound/speaker system is setup to play your music in the living room. A cord is provided to connect to your device (portable radio, your iPod, iPad, iPhone, etc).

•We would like to be helpful, but not intrusive. So, do let us know how you would like to be contacted.
•We are always available by text, email, or phone to answer any questions and help make your stay memorable.
•You will have the access code to the house to enter and leave the house as you please.
•We consider it a privilege to share our home with you. Please take care of it as your own.

The neighborhood

Pacific Grove is a beautiful small beach town with a relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of beach access and scenic hiking/biking trails from our home.
The house is on 17 Mile Drive and backs to a little alley road that runs along a gorgeous, wooded park. If you visit us during the months of October through February, you can witness the magic of the Monarch butterfly migration. The Monarch Sanctuary is just around the corner!
Asilomar State Beach and Conference Center, beach trails, PG Golf Links, Point Pinos Lighthouse, Lover's Point, Pacific Grove Natural History Museum, fine restaurants, and Downtown are all within walking distance.
The Links at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach, Carmel River State Beach, Carmel Mission, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Fisherman's Wharf are all a very short drive away.
Take a ten minute drive south to Carmel's white sand beaches, where you can enjoy a picnic and bonfire until midnight. Enjoy the downtown, or play a round of golf at Pebble Beach.
Drive another ten minutes south to find the beautiful Point Lobos Reserve and the California Sea Otter Refuge. You could also drive on down to Big Sur and beyond along the scenic Hwy One.
Less than ten minute drive North will take you to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Museums, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf.
We are a 20 minute drive from the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca race track.
There are endless places to visit. You'll want to keep coming back!

Getting around

It is a short walk or drive to almost all the attractions in the Monterey peninsula.
We are also on the 1 Asilomar-Monterey bus route (bus stops less than 100 feet away -on both directions) It will take you to Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Downtown Pacific Grove, Point Pinos, Light House, Pacific Grove Golf Course, Asilomar Beach and Conference Center, Senior Center, and Lovers Point. The bus connects to Monterey Transit Plaza (MTP) where you can connect to other transportation systems that would take you south to Los Angles or North to San Francisco.

Other things to note

•If you are arriving after dark, please note that the house is in a forested neighborhood and some street signs are hard to see at night. So please map out the route for your convenience.
•The house is on the famous 17 Mile Drive, so expect some tourist traffic during the day. The back street (almost an alley) is quiet.
•Pacific Grove Ball Park is 500 ft away. Kids games are sometimes on weekends and you could hear some cheering voices from the garden.
•The front entry has six steps and the back entry has four.
•The lot has ranch style fencing and is open to the streets from the front and back. Please supervise your young children if they are out in the garden.
•Refrigerator tends to fill up with good food left behind by other guests. So I recommend checking the refrigerator before going shopping.
•Deer roam around in the property and in the neighborhood. Please drive slow coming down the back street as they like to visit our yard. Please do not feed them.
•Switchable night lights provided for your safety at night.
•Emergency card with useful information is on the refrigerator. First aid kit and flash light are in the bench storage in the mudroom by the back entry. The fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink. Please use the fire extinguisher only for true emergencies.
•We have a Raccoon family visiting us at night to checkout the outside garbage bin. I have put a bungee cord across the lid to avoid them getting into it. Please secure the cord back when you use the garbage bin. Thank you.
•Our neighborhood is woodsy and close to natural protected land and can get very dark at night. The flash light (provided) comes in handy for night walks. Also recommend downloading the flashlight app if you have an iphone.
•The Monarch Home is enrolled in the Aquarium ticketing program that offers a two-day pass for the price of one. Please visit the link below to buy tickets. Please note I do not keep a commission of any sort and it is for your convenience only.
