Mars Hill Haven is a spacious mountain home designed for families and responsible groups looking for comfort, space, and a clear, no-surprises stay. Located on the same mountain as Hatley Pointe (formerly Wolf Ridge Ski Resort), this home offers easy access to skiing, hiking, and year-round outdoor adventure while providing a quiet, private setting to relax after a full day.

The home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests and is thoughtfully laid out to give families room to spread out without feeling crowded. All adult bedrooms feature king beds, which is a rare find and one of the top reasons guests choose this home. A separate bunk room and game room make it especially well-suited for families with kids or multi-family stays.

After a day on the slopes or trails, unwind in the private hot tub while enjoying mountain views, or gather around the fireplace in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen and large dining area make group meals easy, and fast Wi-Fi supports streaming and remote work.

Sleeping & Layout The home is arranged across multiple levels for privacy and functionality:
Main level includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, one king bedroom, and a full bathroom.
Upper level features two additional king bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Lower level includes a bunk room, game room, and laundry area.
Location & Access Mars Hill Haven is approximately 4 miles from the Hatley Pointe ski lodge. Winter access is an important consideration when booking:

The main road includes a steep 14% grade
A longer, winding back road is available
AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended during snow or icy conditions
Mountain travel is part of the experience, and guests should plan accordingly. Cell service can be spotty due to the location; reliable Wi-Fi is provided.
Nearby activities include skiing, snow tubing, hiking, rafting, Appalachian Trail access, and local dining options.

The best weekend!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. The home was beautifully decorated and provided everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The hot tub was a huge hit and the dining table was perfect for game nights. Our visit to Hatley Pointe ski resort was unmatched. Such a wonderful experience and it was just a short drive away. We will definitely be returning!

We had the best stay at mars hill haven! The kitchen is very well equipped, the house is super cozy and comfortable, and the communication was prompt. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend with our kids are were beyond grateful to get to bring our dog along for the trip. It was the perfect weekend getaway and enjoyed lots of R&R.

Breathtaking views, beautiful home

Beautifully decorated, spacious home. Very Clean with all the amenities! Absolutely loved the location and the spectacular views. Easy access to Asheville makes it ideal for a Biltmore visit. Weaverville also a precious little town that is close by.

Great property with plenty of space. Nice Mountain decor. All you need in Kitchen, baths, bedrooms etc.. Beautiful view. A cozy cabin that is no fuss so you can relax and enjoy the cool mountain air. We would definitely love to rent again!!

The cabin was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay. The downstairs area was so fun with the camp themed room. My grandchildren had so much fun. The view off the deck was gorgeous and we enjoyed the leaves while they were at their peak. At the top of the hill of the road was one of the most beautiful sunset views I have seen over the mountain. We will definitely be back.Angela

Awesome views, great location, and a super place!

Our family had such a great time! Great place to walk and hike with views everywhere! Cabin had everything! Kitchen was well stocked and the kids loved the pool table and electric game table and big tv downstairs. Beds were very comfortable. Rocking chairs on the deck were really nice! And the hosts had great communication! Great place to beat the summer heat!!

Amazing views relaxing stay. We were able to go on adventures close by and relax at the house. The whole family (4 adults and 2 kids, ages 4 and 8) enjoyed the stay. Would recommend to anyone. There was a few things i forogt to bring but the house was well equipped with it all. Definitely coming back again

What an amazing property! Spectacular views , squeaky clean bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty space for the entire gang ( we were 10 people , 5 adults and 5 kids/teenagers), everyone had enjoyed the well chosen amenities ( pool table, games , hot tub) . Plenty bunnies and birds sighted around the cabin, great neighbors as well!Chris and Wendy were extremely responsive when we message them as one of the fireplace had the gas pilot switched off. Looking forward to book it again sometime in the near future

A comfortable, well-equipped stay with great hosts, beautiful views, and fun amenities for the whole family.

Our entire stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The hosts were amazing and took care of every detail. They answered calls, texts, and messages promptly. The pantries were well-stocked, and the bathrooms had all the amenities we needed. The bathtub was clean, easy to use, and perfect for a relaxing evening while enjoying the view. Both grills were in working condition, and we loved grilling while taking in the night view. Both decks had plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. The entire family could be out on the deck, and it still didn’t feel crowded. Asheville was easily accessible—we visited the Arts District and several breweries. The basement/lower level was the highlight of our stay. We spent most of our time at the pool table, while my son enjoyed the hot tub. We also had a great time with the digital infinite game table, which offered a wide variety of games. The upper-level bedrooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable. The view from the hallway was also incredible. The bunk beds were spacious enough for adults and easy to climb. Each bed had its own night light. The bathrooms were clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Everything in the home was new and spotless. There was plenty of parking, and the neighborhood was quiet.

Picturesque Mountain Home, Fully Equipped and Close to Adventure!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It is well equipped, beautiful and in a picturesque location. My boys loved the downstairs kids bunk room and game room. The hot tub was so nice on the chilly fall nights. We explored the local area - quaint small towns, went fishing, hiking, shopping, out to eat, scenic drives and just relaxed. All of the furnishings were comfortable and well taken care of. We played board games and did puzzles on the large dining room table, enjoyed our morning coffee on the large back porch surrounded by mountain views. Overall we had a wonderful weekend away at Mars Hill Haven and would absolutely recommend it to those considering a future visit!

Awesome Stay

The house had everything you could want in a vacation rental. Amazing views, house had everything that we needed ready to go, and plenty of space for our large group. Communication leading up to the visit was spot on and easy. Readily available to answer questions as needed. Our son found a new favorite board game that we all played and subsequently bought one to now have at home. Thanks for hosting us!

Each of our three king bedrooms has a unique theme—skiing, hiking, and canoeing—bringing the mountain spirit indoors.
